Lapins Cretins is the best title ever, they should drop the English translation and go with that in future.
Ok here's my tuppence on the multi-sku rumour:
1: White WiiU, Pad, WiiMote, eShop voucher - $249 (£199)
They're my optimistic UK prices btw. I'm fully prepared, assuming the position, lubed & ready to be shafted again though.
Mmmmmm £199. Would definitely jump on it for that price. But yeah, I'm not being optimistic here. This rumour seems pretty legit, but I've been hurt before. Nintendo's not dumb though, they saw how muddled the 3DS launch was.
No way blops getting a wiiu bundle also can't see ninty giving a eshop voucher away 199 would be nice though.
Yea, MS got that exclusive marketing (includes bundles) shit locked up for Call of Duty.
Is this true?

Yes, pretty common knowledge, I thought.
It's that deal that grants MS the 30-day DLC exclusivity and all the CoD promos only ever feature the Xbox 360 version. That hardware bundle that comes out every year is sure to be included in that deal.
That's why CoD is basically considered a pseudo-360 exclusive.
The press release for the DLC part of the agreement is here: http://investor.activision.com/releasedetail.cfm?releaseid=479305

I missed DQX, but my point still stand, I don't think that any japanese game in development (if there any) will be announced this early. My guess is 3rd parties will jump boat later, based on Wii U launch reception. There's no indication that japanese turned development focus from 3DS to Wii U.
More Zelda leaks. 100% not unreliable lies. Spoilers.

First dungeon size sounds impressive. I'd have been happy with Halifax.
It's not a real story, made me chuckle though
In other news: the Wii U GamePad is also a licensed George Foreman Grill and can be used to make some damn fine steak and burgers*!
*= sold separately.
With the new audio capabilities of the Wii U, this splash can be heard in full 7.1 Dolby Pro Logic IIz Surround Sound.

BWHAHAHAHA I LOST IT
Reading the tingle stuff and then off te sudden:
Still laughing AAAHAHA
The submarine part was also a 5 minute laugh
So you think Iwata was lying when he tweeted at E3 that Japanese 3rd party efforts would be unveiled along with launch details.
And you think that Japanese support, which remember was stronger for the Wii than Western support, is going to be measurably worse than Western support and measurably worse than Wii support?
I just want to be clear- you think Wii U's Japanese launch window lineup (roughly December through March) consists of Ninja Gaiden, Tekken, Sonic Racing, and Tanks.
Sonic Racing is technically western
Yeah I know- I was trying to think of every single remotely plausible game. I came up with 4 (5 if DQX makes launch window which I doubt).
But, honestly: we should start to accept it as a fact, due to the short time left before TGS, September 13th conference and most importantly, launch.
What was miyamotos strange tweet?
I am as impatient as anyone, and if I'm wrong I'll flay myself in this thread repeatedly, but Iwata's statements and simple unassailable logic tells me there is no way in hell Japanese support is 4 games, with the only new game announced in the last year an arcade port. I just do not believe that is possible.
Your laughter will turn into a sob once it is revealed that those parody-leaks are actually true.
The Legend of Zelda: U-Boot Chronicles coming February 31st, 2014 confirmed!
Every Wii U game announced before the end of the year is not going to be released before the end of the year.
If you're arguing about Japanese support at launch, there will not be a ton of megaton barn burners. If you're talking about Japanese support in the pipeline, there will (gonna cover my ass here and say probably) be surprises in development.

Say… I was away doing nerdly things not related to video games (save for playing Tron and Arkanoid at a free arcade) for a full week. My guess is that we know exactly what we did seven days ago and nothing more.
Is my suspicion correct, or has there actually been progress?
Checking platforms supported by UE4
(some surprises there)

That's pretty interesting. Possibly multiple SKU's for Wii U ranging from $250-$350.

Well, like it or not, Pachter is a very, very well respected source, even if people on GAF laugh at him constantly. There's a reason he's in the position of power he's in. So there's that. Secondly, I have also played the WiiU, and his points are accurate. The Wii Pad feels kinda like a toy (not that it's a bad thing) and it should be multitouch capable. People expect that at this point, especially in an age of iPhone.
I've read the article now, and he was slamming them for sure. However, he was slamming them for completely real, legitimate reasons. He was slamming Nintendo for being Nintendo, and that's fair. Nintendo's E3 conference was disappointing. Saying "...most reveals fell flat. In fairness, top-tier announcements like New Super Mario Bros. U and a Shigeru Miyamotointroduced Pikmin 3 were nice surprises. Regardless, when Team EGM left the Nokia Theater, the consensus was disappointment." Sounds fair to me. Even if you go back to the E3 press conference thread, people were like "ZOMFG WTF NINTENDO LAND?!!??!" It was a pretty disappointing press conference, and Nintendo hasn't done much to sell the system afterwards. It is harsh, but is in no way shape or form close to an "embittered fanboy blog entry." It reads like someone who was disappointed in the showing, and states that Nintendo still has ground to make up in order to really convince the majority of people that the system is worth buying. I agree with this.

[stuff]
I didn't see this in the first post―has there been any word on whether save files will be transferable from Wii to Wii U? Most game saves can be moved to an SD card, but some major ones can't (Smash Bros Brawl and Animal Crossing for instance).
We all know it's Kingdom Hearts 3 Alberto, don't worry.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Versus XIII re-emerged as a Wii U/PS3 title with extra content on the Wii U version?
Well, that's not going to happen.
Yes they will. Everything will transfer over is the official word. Games, saves, etc. It's essentially a system transfer like on the 3DS/DSi.
The OP is not up to date and even contains wrong info.

Did you go to Burning Man again?
Are online games on wii part of a main nintendo network?
I'm asking cause it seems takara tomy has nothing to with Naruto anymore, the serie being no more mentionned on their website, but the online for the last game is still working.
