Picking my preorder in the morning. Had to work from 4pm until 2am...store locator said that it wasn't available; so...didn't called. To then receive a text message that my copy is waiting. :)

Hi, I'm currently trying to find out what's going on with the servers. It's the weekend so everything is going a bit slower.

As for the pre-order DLC, that will be on store this Tuesday/Wednesday or whenever the store in your region is updated.

You sound like a LBPV dev :D
Was the street date breaking intentional? And will Australia/EU get the same treatment? Please say yes!

I just woke up, so I'm not 100% sure what's going on. As soon as I know more I will swing by here and let you know.

Hate the way LBP has always felt but I'm dying for a good Vita game. Plus, LBP seems like a good handheld game. Hmm, decisions.

So does that mean that the full game will be as well? I need this to sit on my 32gb card forever.

Update for Toronto (Canada).

According to the community manager on Future Shop's website they are selling LBP Vita as of the 15th. A lot of stores have stock.

This game is fantastic. The touch parts are clever, I especially love the odd rocket. I can't wait to see what the community does with this, especially the minigames. Sony, get those servers online asap! Also, downloadable community levels might be the best feature of this game. I wonder if its possible to download entire playlists like the lbpcentral weekly picks. that would be great.

So agree here. Also good to see we may have new server info coming soon.

So is this an official Gamestop-wide thing or just a few stores doing it? Trying to decide if it's worth trying to find it today.

I agree the rear touch can be a pain. It should be deactivated anytime there is no green block on screen. In general I'm beginning to get Uncharted flashbacks, where I'm wishing the touchscreen wasn't being utilized so much.

There are moments where it's fun, but transitioning your hands back and forth from holding the Vita to touching the screen can get tiring. It's not like the Vita is an iPhone. It's much larger, so its never that comfortable holding it with one hand.

I don't know why users notice this becoming tiresome after a couple hours, but developers working on the game for a couple years don't.

Game is fantastic. I'm loving it. Also hearing murmurs from multiple friends inside sony that the break of release date was a fuck up by someone in marketing and heads are going to roll. I can't vouch for the validity, but I will say i've heard it from many people. I think the devs in this thread being steamrolled by the news the game is out bolsters this position.

I do hope they get the servers up soon, though I do feel bad they have to scramble to cover for someone elses fuck up.

The single player game though... holy cow. It's so good. It's a little too early to call it but we may end this gen with the best LittleBigPlanet game not being made by Media Molecule.

Wonder what "improved performance and graphics" entails specifically.

It tends to work fine when the level calls for it. The problem is that it's placing the yellow circle on the screen all the time, not just when there is a green block. As a result, I keep seeing stray yellow circles pop in and out in the corners, since there's no way to comfortably hold the system without stray contact on the panel.

Worse than that, I had a moment where the panel wouldn't respond when I needed to push a green block, only to realize it was due to my other hand accidentally touching the opposite corner.

Yeah that was definitely happening to me at first because I hadn't really played any games that used the back touch pad. Surprisingly, I did find a way to hold the Vita comfortably without my fingers resting on the back pad. I even built a (very simple) level that used the back touch pad while having to also control your sackboy for platforming at the same time.

Mine o Threat level...ugh. Rear touch as a control method, do not want. I love the green block tapping, dislike the horizontal shooter controlled with rear touch. Other than that one level though, the game is brilliant! That level would have been solid with analog control.

i played that level. it's not bad since it's just purely back. i would not want stick and back. because of the way some objects are placed on screen. works great if they stick to the right side if they want to do that.

The
touch homing rockets
is an awesome gadget.

I'm so mad at you guys who got your pre-orders in before I did. If we were swinging from platform to platform, and I got to the next one first, and I saw you in the air about to land, I'd slap you into the death trap below.

Out of stock? Game being a commercial success guaranteed?

Well, I sure hope you all enjoy the game as much as we enjoyed making it. Now...if I could just get a copy of the darn thing....

people do love early releases. would be a great marketing tactic lulz

I wouldn't say it is intentional marketing because we're talking about SCEA here, but it could be great for the game. Plus the word of mouth can spread. My only concern is the LBP bundle with Vita, which doesn't seem to be released yet. After LBP was supposed to bring in new people to Vita thanks to that bundle.
