Taking all of next week off of work just to suplex some zombies. Feels good.
Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I've actually done a suplex in the demo. Leon's got a running bulldog, Helena's got a hurricanrana for no reason (which is fantastic), and Jake's got a giant swing, but no trademark suplex. Maybe some other character's got it this time. Where you at, Josh?

I've definitely pulled off a suplex with Leon, but I forget what combination of body shots and placement around the enemy caused it.
Anyway I cannot wait for my Archives edition to get here. RE4 HD and CV:X HD will be the delicious topping on this cake.

Hey everyone, this is Dusk Golem aka AestheticGamer. I have posted on NeoGAF since 2011, and have decided to resign. I have enjoyed posting about horror games here for years, but I no longer wish to support the site and will be leaving for good. I will still be around the internet, I go by AestheticGamer on YouTube, I make games on Steam as Yai Gameworks, and I plan to go by Dusk Golem on other forums. That's what i thought too. Even with the demos been old builds, i still find hard to believe the PS3 version would look and perform better.

You know, I thought more people would dig these over the top moves. The way they are implemented makes it better than any of the melee moves in previous RE games. Especially when combined with the diving on your back, sliding and quick shots. While the camera may not be too friendly, the gameplay has been greatly improved to form RE-style third person shooting crossed with a Japanese action game.
I know that this change is what is throwing a lot of the traditionalists off, but I happen to appreciate being able to move around faster and do more when being surrounded. It is not that same kind of tension as the older games, but it is a more hectic tension with more options to consider to be sure. It is just going to be one of those love it or hate deals, I guess.

Near 30 hours of campaign in an action/shooter? Unheard of. Game is worth buying just to support this abundance of single player content.

Can't fucking wait to play this. I bought the Archives Edition because I wanted 4/5 Gold anyway and 6 (and CV) would have been good as an extra, but after several playthroughs of the demo I'm hyped as hell to play it. Bring it on!
Yup Archives is gonna be sick. I already have RE5 on PS3 so not sure what I'm gonna do with RE5:GE on 360, but I definitely will be playing the hell out of 4 and CV:X in HD.
I'm going into full salesman mode here but don't forget the umpteen hours you can put into Mercenaries and Agent Hunt, not to mention replaying the game to unlock weapons/upgrade skills/play with new costumes.

Yeah, I didn't even like 5, but it played fine and the opening levels are fantastic. It just really lost steam after a couple of chapters.
I initially thought that having a bunch of different campaigns in RE6 was going to be amazing, but it seems like creating so many different playing styles really hurt it. Chris's campaign especially feels atrocious. Like one of those really bad budget games that try to copy the success of Gears of War.

As for the game... I'm not comfortable at all with shooting enemies in this game. I'm over the camera issue, it's not THAT bad, but shooting zombies or las plagas people just feels terrible. It makes me think RE5 had a solid engine.
Then again I've always enjoyed resident evil more for its characters and campaign over its gameplay. Melee-ing and Shooting just doesn't feel all that good in this game...

Haha man I'm getting my copy a few days later than everyone else because Newegg doesn't have free release day shipping. I do have Amazon Prime but I would rather save $20 and wait a few days to play the game.
