No beatings, we are friends :^)
interesting that they are advertising Wii U using Pro controller.
But I guess its because they are playing Monster Hunter

Now that is surprising.http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/hatima/imgs/9/9/993accb3.jpg

I know my friend, I know :^(I miss the 90s
Honestly, that would ruin some games. One of the main points of the system is to be able to design a game using both screens and interfaces in unison if you choose two. A game like Zombi U would have to be taken back to the drawing board, as would some of the Nintendo Land games. I think each feature "app"(Netflix, Miiverse, TVii, etc) are all streamable though. It boggles my mind that streaming to the tablet is not standard for all features of the wii U. It should bea consistent experience, easy press of a button at any time.
Where did you find this?
No Zelda?

i think the advertised way of using the wiiu gamepad is far more interesting.

Got my launch day sorted.
Black console, white pro controller.
Mario, Zombi U, Lego City, Scribblenauts
Think that's a great mix of games too.
Might consider Batman or Creed depending on the dlc front. I'm going to be a very suspicious gamer with regards to major publishers this gen.
Pikmin, Bayonetta and W101 and MH 3 are all definitely on my list, Tekken may be too.
Amazing set of games coming out, and that's not even mentioning eShop games!
You're Australian yeah? Where are you getting it from?
It looks cool, but why not just hold the gamepad and have the same thing plus touch menu options and whatnot? The pro is the same exact thing but it lacks all the functionality(screen, gyros, etc) isn't it?
that would make too much sense... they are rushing this one out the doors would not shock me if it was all 3DS assets on the Wii U version
That...sounds like a capcom cash move, so it's probably an accurate statement on your part lol. Holding the pro controller with the gamepad right in front of you seems pointless to me. Now if this were something like Skyward Sword where you needed the Wiimote to even play the game, then yeah sure. Make a semi-futuristic zelda and let the screen be his new companion(since we know we will have one). Do all sorts of modern and futuristic stuff involving both motion, puzzles as well as the screen of the pad.
Right here though? Seems pointless. Cool, but pointless.
I don't know if there is anyone else interested in the game, but I'm getting VERY worried about Arkham City. We haven't received any new trailers or any other info since E3. Hell, was it even at the Wii U New York press event? I hope WB Montreal has this title under control :\
Judging from the Gamescom Demo I'd advise anyone to stay the fuck away from that shoddy ass port. The technical problems are one thing, but the horrible controls and shoddy gamepad implementation just tell you that they had no intentions of making a decent port.
Ok how much is the bolded in USD?Ok my launch order is complete...
Premium Pack
Black Wiimote+
Black Nunchuck
Black Pro Controller
NSMBU
ZombiU
All for the paltry sum of.....£352.43
Also got a Basic Pack on pre-order for £166 (from when amazon listed it wrong). Either keeping this boxed/mint for future, or might sell if I know someone in need.
Ok how much is the bolded in USD?
scared to do the math
Damn that sounds awful. How the hell could you mess that port up like that :^(

It really boggled my mind, but the demo was a trainwreck.
20+ seconds of UE3 texture loading (I kid you not)
Jaggies everywhere
Motion controls were !Inverted! (turning left with the gamepad made the batarang turn right)
button layout was borked as they simply used the 360 layout instead of optimizing it for the WiiU
Seems like the worst cash grab in the launch line up by far.
Whoa shit lol..well I do got 50$ on the preorder so I guess I can minus that. It will probably be like 520 somethin with tax. Well as long as its not 600 somethin Im good..Over $515 after taxes. Exactly how much over, I'm not sure lol

Going by amazon.com for the games/controller its $568 (eek!)
Yep, I'm hyped for the Wii U! Buying all the games! Going Pro too! How much is all of thisihfoasf what
Daaayum. People will hopefully ignore it and buy AC3 like crazy instead. That way devs will see no one wants shoddy ports of old games, but there's still a market for 3rd party so called "AAA" titles so they can't just use the "these types of games don't have a market on this platform" excuse
So guys....
Is the Wii Motion Plus staying the same, or are they going to come with a WiiU motion Plus (exactly the same but with the WiiU logo)?
Ok, don't get me wrong, that is bad. It's pretty horrible, but that bolded section. I mean...why? WHY!? Why would you do that!? Someone actually sat in a design section of the company, made that decision, and then had someone else green light it? What in THE fuck is that lol

The thing is, the inverted controls might be a setting issue, but what I noticed is that they simply emulated the analog stick acceleration and speed with the gyro controls. That in itself made it almost impossible to control.
I mean, this could've been the earliest stable build that they were using, but come on, if that's the best that you can show off, from a year old game ported to hardware with twice the RAM and considerably better GPU, faster Disc read speed then I think it speaks volume of their will to invest in this port.
The final retail version could be fine, but I'm not risking 60 bucks to check it out. If I buy this at all, it will be used or on a sale.

I'm really hoping this is the case, as I have it on pre-order :/
I would seriously recommend you to cancel it. If the retail version is anywhere near as bad as what I played you'll get burned hard.
I know a guy who went to a recent event, and he backs your claims up.
To anyone who has preordered Batman: bail out. Now.

I've decided I'm going to wait for the reviews before buying any launch game (aside from Nintendoland.)
