JoJo 1-
What an asshole. I mean that's literally the trope of kicking the dog. I mean it's so forced in regards to making me hate Dio that I was laughing.

Wow! Although it was fast pace but goddamn that was flashy and entertaining to watch and I do like the ED. Dio is really a goddamn asshole.

Means the color on the background of your avatar doesn't matches any of the two grey-white tones of this forum so it could blend. That term comes from the necessity of making that background-blending work on Internet image-boards using the 'Yotsuba B' style that didn't accept image archives with transparencies for its use (as reaction images, mainly).

Yeah, I'm definitely not worried about how the show is going to look in terms of direction and action. It's in very capable hands. The story on the other hand... we'll see. Lol.

Any word on Nakamura doing animation in some of the future episodes?

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure 1

This is exactly what I was hoping for. Fabulous poses, exaggerated keyframes, camp handled with seriousness and gravity. I'm not that familiar with the source, but this has me looking forward to more.

Really, I need more dog-kicking villains in my life.

I don't know, I remember duckroll mentioning there's a high possibility of him working on Tempest so I was just wondering.

No one knows. The only confirmation we have of what he's definitely working on is the Star Driver movie, because Koyama recently said at a con that Nakamura would be doing new action scenes for it. I'll be surprised if he doesn't show up in Tempest at some point, but right now there's no indication either way.

I see... then I suppose he was talking about the movie.
Did he really work in Haiyore! Nyaruko-san? :p

I don't really understanding the meaning of this. Could you care to elaborate? Is it a pacing issue, because I remember that was mentioned a couple of days ago.

From the episode titles it looks like they plan to rush through the beginning as much as possible.

I guess that's what earlier interviews implied they would do, after all. I don't know the manga so I can't say how problematic this pacing will be, but given how much duckroll's freaking out over it I suppose I'll hold off on watching the show until he or other trustworthy people give their stamp of approval.

Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince

Character Design: Hisashi Hirai (SEED, SEED, and more SEED)
.

The character in the Corner has an awkward face (bottom left), otherwise, I guess I may anticipate it on character design alone.

He didn't work on that. It was a mistake damnit!! :p

The manga starts with a few chapters of introductions. The first two chapters are each self-contained stories, which serve to introduce the two leads. We already know that they're changing this in the anime, and the first 3-4 chapters are being rearranged into the first episode, with the stories being rearranged to introduce all the characters at once.

That's fine. No one is really that bothered as long as it's done well.

Now we are discovering a greater horror. One which shakes the very foundation of trust manga fans might have in this adaptation. The Dungeon arc is the first major story arc in the manga. It takes place from chapter 6 to 16. From the looks of the episode titles, they're going to cover all that in just 2 episodes. After that, the next arc is the Kouga Arc. It takes place from chapter 17 to 26. The episode titles suggest that this too will probably be 2 episodes.

I know that the producers said that they want to get to Balbadd and introduce Sinbad "as quickly as possible"... but this is really the last thing that I expected. It's really pretty worrying.

Aww, I enjoyed your posts. :(

I think I'll just worry less about reading through the entire thread and just focus on what's happening on the current page though.

Skim as needed. Hell, half the reason I thought so much was bolded in discussion was to help enable that sort of thing.

I see. That's actually a good idea. I didn't do that before but I might start now.

Articalys is a cool poster. I don't want him to leave. :(

Sword Art Online 14

As the end draws near it's evident that there was definitely no plans to wrap up the entirety of the episode in a positive manner. What could've been one of the better episodes of the series is simply portrayed as another crappy episode where certain fights are almost non-existent, character portrayed as heroic all of a sudden, and the relationship between Asuna and Kirito becomes slightly more frustrating. Despite what happens in this episode, it's clear that there was an endgoal that the author had in mine when creating SAO, but the way of getting there and its execution was completely left out. The anime does this even moreso with inserting side stories and deviating from the path so much that it's hard to care when we actually get to the main plot. What happens as an end result is a cluttered conclusion full of meaningless, and hard to care about dialogue.

On the positive note, there's some really inspiring action sequences that doesn't really leave it all up to some CG or special effects. Characters are drawn well and the last moments of the episode stands out as one its finest as we all return. I would say that the show did a fine job of showing the various escapades of Kirito and his relationships with the countless few that he affected, and more importantly so, his abilities both as a player and as a human being. For that, I give the author some credit.
