Well, worst case scenario is you could use the software home button. That's what I always tell myself just in case shit goes down.

Yeah my friend's home button doesn't register at all. If he wants to switch apps, he has to turn the ipod off and back on. I don't know how he deals with it. He has a 4g touch.

jukebeat/jubeat plus remains my favorite music game on the platform, and contains the most content of all of them by far (only ReRave comes close). Check it out if you haven't already!

On Demons' Score... don't buy the international (not-Japanese) versions. It's not a bad game, but the IAP scheme the international uses is horrible and it actually costs less to just buy the Japanese version which contains all content without dumb IAP milking.

Just finished Walking Dead episode 3, I thought it was great. Really want to play episode 4 after the preview though, will probably be another month and a half or two :(

It's not just you man, they leave me cold too. Same as the Tiny Tower fad when that hit too. I prefer my games a bit more substantial.

Played a shit load of Carmageddon last night and enjoyed indulging my nostalgia. I upgraded my offense on the car and now I'm ruining the other cars almost by accident, it's actually hard to do all the laps on some tracks now since I wreck everyone in the first couple of laps. Very odd design decision there! Looking forward to exploring some of these tracks properly though, I used to love hunting down peds and doing mad jumps. Games need more mad jumps.

Actually reminds me that i took a cracking screen of an odd ME GUSTA face in Broken Sword, I'll post it tonight when I'm on wifi.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you got it it'll upload next time you complete a level when game center is up, the game saves them.

Being able to do it through iTunes doesn't help when I only have iTunes installed on my home computer. Do people install iTunes on their work desktop or anywhere they can avoid it?!

I don't even install iTunes at home if I can avoid it. I only have it installed on an older, rarely-used box because I needed it to gift an iPhone-only app to someone and this wasn't possible on iPad at all, even before iOS 6.

This kind of sucks. I used to love gifting apps on the device when I'm buying one for myself. Strange decision.

Just caught wind of this from Facebook: Square Enix has released what looks to be a sort of visual novel with music game elements, SYMPHONICA. The free download includes the first three or four chapters, with the remainder of the game as IAP (pricing details are in the store description). It is available internationally now, in iPhone and iPad variants:

There's a sale every other week on the appstore, I'm sure there will be one for Halloween. Save that precious $10 and waste it on some impulse buys when everything is cheap, by all means.

I bought the Lunar: SSSTouch

So far I'm loving it but the controls are a bit "floaty"/strange.

I also really hate how combat plays if you hold the iPad horizontally.

Sonic Jump looks real nice on my ipad 3, most things seem to be full retina with a few enlarged sprites here and there, the game however is average.

I think it has a 4g touch bug, the game runs in 320x480 and looks rather blocky, I doubt it was for frame rate issues.

Sonic Jump used to be an old mobile phone game, this is like a remake... sort of.

There is IAP but it's only extra ring stuff, you seem to earn enough playing normally.

Symphonica is pretty cool. As a classical music fan I always wanted a conducting game haha. But my god $15 for the full game does not seem worth it. How long is this game?

Man Roo Roo Run is just not fun for me at all. Getting through the challenge levels is massively frustrating, not because they're a genuine challenge but because of shitty physics and collision boxes. I hate this game.

Edit: And Extreme level 17-5 is straight up offensive to me. How the devs could possibly think that level was a good idea is beyond me.

It's a decent game. Finished it on my Ipad, doesn't overstay it's welcome. Just don't expect a copy of Diablo and you'll be ok. There are loot drops, but most of the time they aren't very good. It's more about getting gold and buying new items and shields after the mission is over, plus leveling up your character stats. Worth a buck easily.

There is an Ipad version now? Maybe I'll download it again. I tried out the Iphone version in 2X mode. Game seemed ok but unless SE changes where you press down on notes I don't know if this game is worth playing on Ipad. Control set up seemed tailored towards using a smaller screen.
