Gearbox store just got some Ellie's Garage t-shirts. I'd totally get one to go along with my red Vault Hunter shirt if it wasn't a ugly-ass hideous scoop neck. It looks like it was designed for someone with Ellie's actual body shape...

I don't think I can pull off a purple Pandacorn t-shirt either, but if they ever stock some non-unisex Hyperion shirts, I'd be all over that.

So anyway, my girlfriend and I are starting to play together. She picked the Mechromancer as her character. She is new to first person shooters; what is the best skill tree for her to go down while she learns the game? Thanks!
Maybe the Best Friends Forever tree, as DeathTrap sounds like a pretty capable "pet" by all accounts, maybe more so than Axton's turret even.

I prefer gemini turrets with rockets on them in TVHM.

It saddens me that Butt Stallion doesn't make an appearance in the game at all.

I thought the whole Butt Stallion thing was incredibly stupid but I was also pretty surprised he never made an appearance.

::edit::
Oh hell, just realized I forgot to get the Halloween skins. Crap.

It just feels way more forced than the last game. I just don't remember them trying this hard last time.

It's mostly due to them bringing on Anthony Birch as a writer, I feel. He really took a shit on the game's sense of humor. You can still see it underneath some of the crap - the bandits themselves made the transition mostly intact, as did Scooter - but it's now buried under a thick layer of internet-baked garbage that lacks much wit.

Amusingly enough I actually made a comment to my co-op buddies tonight about the bandits still being pretty entertaining with their ambient dialogue.

The Goliath is easily my favorite new character. Even if some people get carried away trying to level them up. None of Handsome Jack's lines are going to hold up as much as his furious battle cries.

I'm sure this has been answered in the thread somewhere but I'm gunna be lazy. >_<

I've been farming The Warrior for the last two days and I've probably killed him close to 50 times but I haven't seen a legendary item drop apart from the one sniper that dropped the first time I killed him.

Is it possible to get legendary items from The Warrior after the first time you kill him? Or should I just give up?
Would using the additional players mod to make the game think I'm playing 4 player co-op increase my chances of getting a legendary drop?

I see a lot of people on the web recommend backing up your save right before you kill him the first time, I didn't do this...

Thanks in advance.

He does drop legendaries after the very first kill (the one for the main questline), but the drop rate is severely lowered after that point.

Basically, you'd be better off just powerleveling a new character and completing the game twice to be able to farm him "properly", in terms of returns for your time spent. The drop rates are really that low when you're farming him in a non-quest related context.

Well that sucks... trying to do things legit = you're a sucker!

By powerlevelling I assume you mean taking a low level character into a higher level co-op game? Is there a way to do that on the one account? I don't really have many friends playing the game.

I was referring specifically to the Fleshstick quest exploit, but yes. If you're on PC, you can use the co-op mod.

did the Flesh Stick exploit last night in co-op...was about to lvl up 3 times in about 30 minutes. feelsgoodman.jpg

XP started to scale drastically though, couldn't get past lvl45 as he was giving like 600xp per shot

If you keep the fleshstick mission to 2.5 you can get at least 6000xp until level 47 or so and then itll only scale down to about 5500xp...I got a friend from level 9 to level 50 in about an hour.

I've been trying to spawn Donkey Mong with no luck :(
fast travel to eridium blight, Spawn a car go through the gate on your immediate right. drive straight down the road and when the road turns dont follow it instead go off road.

if he does not pop out the bullymong wall anus here. save quit and retry.

Had him well over 50 times now

Playing on 360. Fleshstick kept petering out on me. I'd kill him maybe 5 or 10 times, and then he wouldn't spawn any more. I ported out and back in and he only came back twice. Is this normal, or did the fleshstick grind get nerfed last night?

How fast are you starting the quest after you kill him? I know that if you don't give if enough time to properly fail the quest, he will not spawn at all. I haven't tried fleshstick since the patch yesterday, so it definitely could have been nerfed.

Loving Maggie. My favorite weapon in the game so far. Maggie + Bee is fantastic. I think I should be able to take down Terra with that combo since the CC, and for that matter, any decent loot is not dropping from Warrior.

I am so pissed, I accidentally started my TVHM of the DLC before I hit 50 and even though I didn't accept the first mission, the DLC for TVHM is set at the scaled level when I first loaded it. I now have to get an entirely other character to TVHM DLC to make sure everything is scaled to lvl 50. So annoying.

Can't you (re)start a new TVHM game after you beat it in TVHM once?

I made a stupid mistake and took the quest before 2.5 because I was playing in my friend's game and I forgot that accepting the quest there also accepted it in my own game. :( It's the only non-story quest in all of TVHM that I've accepted.

Anyone can dupe some legendary weapons for me? All I have is 50LVL bee to give and a 49LVL baby maker.

Three more achievements for the game were just added to the Steam version, so I assume either the Torgue DLC will be coming out soon, or the previously Gamestop exclusive Creature Dome is about to see a general release.

Btw, does anyone know what the specific requirements are for Challenge Accepted - "Completed level 1 of all non-level-specific challenges with a single character". Which challenges are exempt?

I'm assuming it's for new campaign DLC. If there were going to be achievements for the creature dome, they should have already been in the game.

As for the challenge accepted achievement, it's just what it says. Nothing that is tied to a specific zone is counted for the achievement. There are a few tricky challenges that cause headaches with this one though. There are a few challenges that will not appear until you've hit certain levels in other challenges.

Borderlands Wiki - Challenges

Look for the shotgun and rocket launcher challenges. Two of the challenges for those weapons don't unlock until you've hit level 5 in another challenge.

Ah ok, so they really mean "map" or "area" when they state "level specific". Thanks for the link!

Edit: Oh god that shotgun challenge might take a while. At least tagging that Vault symbol on the roof of Terramorphous Peak isn't required -- that one looks rage inducing.

Conference Call can definitely drop while solo, right? I've farmed Warrior quite a few times and haven't seen one yet, so I'm hoping it's just bad luck.

I've tried several times to get that symbol but to no avail. I've been riding Terra's upward blast as he surfaces but it doesn't get me high enough. I assume there's a trick to it I'm not getting.

I got mine while playing solo. It dropped when I defeated him in the story mission, though, so there's that.

Yeah, me too. But the first time's the guaranteed orange drop. The rest is pure chance, which is why I still don't have The Bee (play through 1, I hate grinding)

I must have killed the Warrior about 30 times now, only got the Impaler via the TVHM finish.

I really, really wish I had saved just before popping Jack. I'm almost tempted to kick off a TVHM playthough with an alternative char to get another crack at the guaranteed orange drop - it's probably way more time effective.

I'll be probably fighting the Warrior in TVHM shortly.
Is it recommended, then, to wait until lvl 50 and then farm the Warrior before dealing with Jack so PT2.5 doesn't start?

I was doing some fleshstick leveling last night on 360. Went from 1 to 50 and he only quit spawning once on me, and it was definitely because I accepted the quest again too quickly after killing fleshstick.

Have to give a huge +1 to Maggie. For those who don't want to waste countless evenings trying to get a Conference Call to drop, go for the Maggie from Mick Zafford. I was able to solo Terra with Maggie + Bee pretty easily by using the rock ledge hiding exploit. I still want a damn CC though.

Very easy to farm as well. I think I once got 4- 5 different Maggies within 20 minutes of farming, including a Two-Fer variant (shoots 10 bullets at once).

I spent a lot of time avoiding the threads until I finished a first runthrough, and have missed a lot of the acronyms.

I got TVHM, but could someone explain p2.5?

Playthrough 2.5 is what happens once you complete the story quests in TVHM. It increases all enemy and quest levels to 50. This is why a lot of people recommend skipping certain quests in TVHM until you finish it because the quest rewards will scale up to level 50 once you start 2.5.
