Just noticed the OT, I missed the mistake one. Anyway it looks good! I'm definetly interested to read reviews and hear gafs impressions on ZombiU. I'm not a survival horror fan, so I'll hold off on day one, but this looks pretty neat. The GamePad usage looks really well done. If I hear good things I'll pick it up after my wallet recovers from the launch day blues.

hmmm, not sure who to trust. maybe Amazon is being shady, so that they can ship the games on the 13th using regular cheap shipping, but to the consumer still act like they are doing release day/overnight shipping on the 18th?

Or they are just being safe.

Amazon is being goofy it seems. For Blops II they changed it to say: "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available."

And someone one GFAQs said they just got it today in the mail from Amazon.

It's not just Amazon. Newegg has it as the 18th now too. So maybe it got moved. Either way we can't play it till the 18th at the earliest anyway. lol

There's a big fuss about it because everything they've shown so far suggests the complete polar opposite of what you just said. It looks to be a very good game from the stuff that's been shown off.

I believe it's a semi-open world where you take missions to venture into areas off the safe house hub. There are shortcuts through sewers to unlock that make traversal easier, and the randomly generated zombie hoard may be thicker in one area at the moment than in another. Encouraging abandoning that area to do missions in an area where the zombies are thinner.

As for the actual narrative elements, I haven't read if there are chapters in terms of the story moving on to a new overall set of missions or overall context.
