Well I don't know what to say. If they have that effect for you then theres not much for me to argue.
I don't remember this being posted even tho it's days old allready. Character DLC we knew was coming but apparently it's indeed characters+stages.

i should probably clarify that i'm complaining that i couldn't immediately recognize them, not that they'd have been unrecognizable if i hadn't looked really hard

What? All of the characters are easily identifiable. If you really had to squint to see them then maybe you should get your eyes checked.

New stages, nice. Hopefully they're free.
A Gravity Rush stage has a lot of potential. Start it in another game like Fat Princess or something, then have those gravity holes come in and mess with the layout.

i had some pretty significant "huh" moments on Sir Daniel (though that was probably because it took a while before you actually saw the skull), Nariko, Dante, Spike, and Raiden
Yeah, those would be better. Forgot about Medievil. DMC's environments are the coolest looking part of that game too, with the way they deform.
I think the average PlayStation fan wouldn't have trouble recognizing most of the characters in that video outside of Dante.
I really wish that, during the part where he pulled out Ebony and Ivory to shoot Nariko, he had gone into his Devil Trigger mode, and his hair had turned white, and his coat had turned red, like it does in DmC (and his level 3 Super in All Stars), right before Heihachi tossed him out of the area. Then it probably would have clicked that it was Dante, and not some random dude.
Out of the roster, the characters that I feel stand out the most and are the most recognizable:

Nathan Drake
Sackboy
Big Daddy
Raiden
Heihachi
Sweet Tooth
Dante
I'd argue Radec/Helghast, because, since day one, they've been a rather iconic looking antagonist, but, yeah, those top 7 really stick out to me as the main draw.

Not a knock against any of the lower tier ones (I personally love them all), but I don't think many are that familiar with their games, sadly. I'm so glad to see them in the game. Heavenly Sword is one of my favorite games from 2007, so I'm stoked to see Nariko in the roster. She's a fantastic character, in a criminally underrated game.

Nariko is probably the one i am least familiar with, so probably. but then i don't recall Heavenly Sword being a runaway hit, either

My favorites are "Char Cole," and "Lo Co Ro Cole." EDIT: "Coca Cole" is pretty awesome as well. lol

Doesn't the IP holder/main developer get to make the final decision on everything that goes in the game for their characters?

I've always hoped Sony would make Heavenly Sword 2 into their Devil May Cry.
The heavenly sword would be the equivalent to DMC's Rebellion and Nariko could find other Heavenly weapons. Some in the posession of bosses.
It's really a shame since I personally find Nariko the best female character Sony has and one of the best in every IP available everywhere.
I usually dislike (or couldn't give a rat's ass) playing as a female character in most games (especially fighters) since most of them are over sexualized, lack a serious persona (they always have their cute female quirkiness...) and are just... well a weaker version of a male protagonist in other games.
Nariko however? She's downright amazing and I applaud NT writing.
She doesn't use her feminine attributes. She's got a strong character. She's rather plain looking. And she's fucking badass.

To be honest I didn't really like any of Kat's alt costumes. I kean the Spy costume seemed appropriate at first, then I just stuck with the standard one
I also bought myself some last minute homework! I thought I was done when I played the HD Collections a while back, but I got Fat Princess via the Sale. Impulse buy, have no idea whether I'll like it or even what type of game it is. Can't really go wrong with £3 odd.

Be prepared that it is a bit clunky and short. But if you ignore that, you'll get a good game that was ripped apart because it came in 07 or as I like to call it, "the year where you were cool if you ripped apart every single damn thing about the playstation 3".
It's quite memorable to me how in 07 (especially in Europe) we had Resistance: FOM, Motorstorm, Folklore, Warhawk, Uncharted
F, Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank :ToD and apparently all the ps3 had in 07 for most sites was Resistance.I do miss that bias though. Think I got permabanned in gametrailers like... 5 times. Once in gamespot for saying I didn't get why were people ripping apart the ps3. Exact words.

I'm sad about my skills in making an avatar pic. Can't rock my old Heavenly Sword avatar that I've used everywhere since 07. Had to settle for this one I have now which was available in a ttt2 thread

I love me some Paper Mario but I really need to live the beginnings of the online community, I wouldn't skip this game for anything short of HL3 or KH3 lol.
Clunky games are my middle name. Maybe I shall rush thru it this weekend and prostpone either the hell that is known as Killzone 2 replay on Elite or Hell Yeah! that is crashing the ps3 like there was no tomorrow. I'd probably hang myself if the console died now of all times!
Indeed I did, I'll pick up Paper Mario sometime when nothing else is coming out that I want. Probably sometime after Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing.
I wouldn't miss this game for anything after all the hype I have for it.
