When it comes to farming for either Maggie or slaggas smg in pt 2.5, is there a way to be able to kill both families? Or is it just that you pick one to kill and whoever you do kill is the weapon you farm for. The Maggie looks good but I think I might be partial to the Slagga smg...

You're stuck picking just one the only way you'd be able to farm the other is with a new character or join a host who sided with the other family.

I just got 118MB patch anybody know what got changed?

Patch 1.2 released today:

Update 1.2.0 (Released 11/13/2012)

Fixed fast travel stations from downloadable content sometimes disappearing when loading a saved game.
Fixed an issue where players could occasionally be unable to connect to one another if one of them had recently been in DLC that the other doesn't have.
Fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to pick items up after another player had bulk-picked-up a nearby item.
Fixed a bug in the inventory UI when quickly scrolling to the bottom of a list using the mouse wheel.
Improved PhysX fluid rendering quality at high resolutions.
Improved NVIDIA 3D Vision integration.
Fixed the "Inverted reverse steering" option not working for clients in a multiplayer game.
Fixed the player's backpack sort setting not persisting.
Fixed an issue causing players to sometimes crash or freeze after killing Master Gee in the Captain Scarlett DLC.
Fixed challenges showing inaccurate completion amounts for area-specific challenges.
Fixed a bug where the player's active mission would sometimes fall back to main-game missions when completing other missions in DLC areas.
Fixed a bug that could cause players to lose mission rewards that they had not claimed when switching between Normal mode and True Vault Hunter mode.
Added a confirmation dialog when opening the golden chest in Sanctuary.
Fixed Arid Nexus Badlands showing an undiscovered challenge that was not attainable.
Restored some lost progress to players who have had their profiles reset. To ensure you are credited for as much progress as possible, please load your character, select "Continue" on the Main Menu, and then "Save and Quit" after you enter the world. Repeat this process for each character in your character list.
Fixed the Mechromancer's Anarchy skill sometimes losing stacks incorrectly for multiplayer clients.
Fixed a bug causing players to sometimes get stuck zoomed in when in "fight for your life" mode.
Fixed challenge "For The Hoard!" to work properly after resetting challenges.
Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause players' skill points to be reset when loading their character.
Fixed a bug that could cause enemies and missions to be locked to an incorrect level.
Fixed bug causing Tediore reloads to get Amplify shield damage bonuses for each round remaining in the clip.
Amplify damage from Amplify Shields is now divided among all projectiles fired from a single shot.
Balance adjustments to "The Bee":
  • Increased Recharge Delay
  • Significantly increased Recharge Rate
  • Reduced Amplify damage
DLC raid bosses no longer drop Seraph crystals in Normal Mode.
Reduced level of DLC raid bosses in Normal Mode.
Fixed issue resulting in infinite leveling exploit with Fleshstick.
Increased the health of Terramorphous, Willhelm, and Blue.
Additional miscellaneous balance tweaks.
Fixed issues with the following missions that could cause players to get stuck or not be able to complete them:
  • Plan B
  • Wildlife Preservation
  • Mighty Morphin
  • Animal Rescue: Food
  • The Man Who Would Be Jack
  • Get To Know Jack
  • Where Angels Fear to Tread
  • Trailer Trashing
  • Clan War: First Place
  • Stalker of Stalkers
  • The Once and Future Slab
  • Home Movies
  • Shielded Favors
  • You Are Cordially Invited: Tea Party
  • (Captain Scarlett) Freedom of Speech

Bolded a few of the more noticeable fixes. Shame that the Tediore reload method was fixed. I'll miss doing 25 Million points of damage with a single reload. And FWIW, I checked the Alkaline The Bee already in my inventory to see how significant the nerf was. Went from 16K/26K/3.80/57K prior to the patch to 16K/16K/6.20/45K afterwards.

EDIT: Just tested out the Tediore reload and wow, it got nerfed alright. That 25 million points of damage is down to 1.5 million.

* Fixed Arid Nexus Badlands showing an undiscovered challenge that was not attainable
Good. Now I know is not coming from me.

* Fixed a bug in the inventory UI when quickly scrolling to the bottom of a list using the mouse wheel

Oh yes, finally I had this problem from the beginning. Thank you Gearbox.

* DLC raid bosses no longer drop Seraph crystals in Normal Mode.
Reduced level of DLC raid bosses in Normal Mode.

First after reading, thought is why do you have to change it when even in Normal Mode or Vault Hunter both have 50 level cap. Now it makes sense, though they didn't mention the new level cap.

* Increased the health of Terramorphous, Willhelm, and Blue.

To Whillhelm and Blue is not a problem. Blue is easy to kill like any other crystalisk with a Vladof Sniper Drum Magazine, but to Terramorphous why ? Is not enough already for a Boss. I mean every Baddass Boss comes with it his own level depends to where his is placed into the game, is not like bring it to Hyperius the Invincible level since this Boss is more new and included into DLC as a better opponent.

Is the DLC required to get to this treasure room?

Holy shit, that patch changes up a lot in terms of PT 2.5. I understand the Bee nerf since it made so much of the other great loot useless, but did they have to patch Fleshstick! That was such a great trick to get secondary characters leveled.

Edit: The drop rates better be fucking improved for bosses like Terra, with all of thes changes. Because if it now takes 10x longer to kill Terra. and you still get the same shit loot, it is fucking pointless to even bother.

Quite a bit extreme bee nerf to me. I think dividing it among all shot projectiles would've been enough. Mine is 17k/16k/6.3/44k now (forgot what it was before).

Looks like they still didn't fix Zero's Slayer mod having a Gunzerker skill or Salvador's left hand gun not getting any amp damage yet. My badass points seem to have dropped significantly as well, but it's been a while since I last played so I don't know if it's due to this patch.

Honestly, this patch may have just about killed the game for me. I'll jump back in for DLC when it comes around but nothing near the playtime I've been putting in. To be honest, for me multiple replays are just too much of a slog to get through without some good power-levelling and the drop rates already sucked before they made the bosses that much tougher/take that much longer to farm.

I've been playing a few hours of the game every night with a friend and this patch just seems like it will make everything we've been doing more annoying with less payoff.

Agree with all, more or less.

FUCK. I was on my way to level 50. I don't think they get that stuff like the bee shield are major a part of why this game can be so much fun. Its why I have nearly 200 hours in the game. I bet many will now fuck with their files.

I don't mind the Bee- nerf, but buffing the boss health and removing the fleshstick- glitch leaves a sour taste... And nothing to improve the drop-rates.

It's like they want to make this game as arduous to solo- play as possible.

As in "Heathcliff"
Beh, I'm not happy with them making secret bosses harder and nerfed infinite exp. I don't really want to level up Zero. I guess I have to ask people to help me to powerlevel Zero later on.

Looks like I will be trying that PC cheat engine. I can understand some of this shit for multiplayer but its like they are trying to take the fun out of single player also.

The Flesh Stick already required you to be at PT 2.5 to be effective for a lvl 50 power level exploit so you have clearly put in plenty of time in the game. I just wanted to use it to play around with other characters. Don't feel like playing through the story five more times to get two others to lvl 50.

Waiting to see more evidence about drop rates but early reports aren't good. I hope the treasure room exploit still works.

Edit: Totally agree that one of the biggest messages in this update is , "Fuck Solo BL2 players" I do both solo and co-op for the record. Both have their places and fun.

I didn't like farming those bosses when killing them took a couple seconds. Can't imagine how terrible it is now lmao

It does, I just tested it twice. Got a Sham with 94% Absorb while checking it out too, which is pretty convenient, considering the patch changes that just occured.

Haha, awesome. Fingers crossed that there is indeed a higher drop rate and just early confirmation bias is why people are saying it hasn't changed.

Highly recommend CheatEngine. I've been using it ever since I hit the 300 hours of gameplay mark, when I first realized the futility of farming Vermi legitimately. Seriously, I spawned dozens of instances of him using it, and he hasn't dropped a single Norfleet in that time. Imagine if I had to put the time into spawning him legit that many times.

I'm sure they'll add a hack module to CheatEngine to revert the Bee back to the way it was.

Hope you don't mind but sent you a PM with a few questions on this HoosTrax.
