I picked up my Wii U and now going to Target to take advantage of the "Buy 2 Get 1 50% off. I know I want Zombie U and Mario. I really am intrigued by how shooters play on the Wii U and am leaning that way.
Any impressions out there?

You could always just buy it.
Who is going to be playing this online though?

If there is no online players like xbox/ps3, it's not a very good investment
Did anyone ever confirm if the whole game is playable on the gamepad? Including all the multiplayer modes?

They don't let you play splitscreen online multiplayer on Xbox 360 and PS3, so I doubt they'd do it with Wii U's splitscreen equivalent. All we need to know if whether or not you can play online multiplayer with a mate in your room, one on the screen, one on the television. Nothing else matters. There seems to be plenty of people playing thiss kicking about...
Initial impressions:
I think they've changed the control mechanics in a bad way. There's so much turning inertia that I haven't been able to get used to it and I've adjusted control settings in a lot of ways. All of the previous games' controls feel much tighter than this. Using the Wii Remote.

Videos seem to make it look great:
There is life beyond Polygon.
It is.Did anyone ever confirm if the whole game is playable on the gamepad? Including all the multiplayer modes?
I thought there was a video someone of someone doing exactly that. They don't let you play splitscreen online multiplayer on Xbox 360 and PS3, so I doubt they'd do it with Wii U's splitscreen equivalent.
This guy seems to like it a lot, but I didn't watch the whole thing.
NoAnd can you play with the wiimote/nunchuck... on the GamePad, used as a TV screen?
is BLOPS 2 actually made by Treyarch for Wii U or external?
Seriously? Why did you bring this shit in here?Of course not. Why would a video games coverage site need that stuff? You've got better things to do like make documentaries about yourselves.
Played for like 20 mins. Looks great but is to damn difficult to play with the gamepad. Need that pro controller asap!
Edit: Dint got the NukeTown map though. I've preordered.
My short impressions: it's basically the same COD experience you're getting on the HD twins sans nuke town. There's hardly anyone online right now. As far as the nunchuck + wiimote controls go they're definitely definitive over the gamepad. I tried going online with co-op while one person was on the gamepad while the other was on the full screen but it didn't seem to work. Maybe I was doing something wrong but it didn't say how to do it in the digital manual provided for the game. Something that I absolutely love is being able to solely play on the gamepad with headphones. It makes late night zombie sessions even better. One irk I have is that you can only access the consoles home menu through the campaign portal of the game. If you try to do it on either the zombie or multiplayer portal it won't let you unfortunately, which is stupid.

Someone in the me3 thread mentioned that frame rate sometimes drops to 30, making it the worst console version.

I'm playing it right now, It got a bit choppy in an action heavy sequence. I hope its not the norm.
That's an offline match. You could always play offline splitscreen no matter what version you have. It's whether you can play it online WITH splitscreen that I'm not sure about. You sure that's the feature they're touting? This game is in split screen. So yeah it works.
They also made it a focus of the Wii U launch event - its a major game feature.
I was telling you what I was told by Activision PR. If you want to troll me for that, be my guest.
