So, PS Vita....Actually looks...Good?

So, I decided I'm gonna get a Vita on Friday. After a lot of though I realized that there are actually a lot of games that I want. Even better, most of them are exclusives. So far, I have my eyes on:

- LBP Vita
- Gravity Rush
- Person 4 Golden
- Uncharted Golden Abyss
- PSASBR
- Modnation Racers
- Wipeout 2048
- Disgaea 3
- Resistance Burning Skies (maybe)
- DJ Max Technicka Tune (maybe)
- tons of PSN games

Anything else I'm missing? I really want to get the AC3 bundle, but it appears to be sold the fuck out everywhere. I'd prefer a white one, since it's go well with my white DS3. I could get one off Sony's site or pay more on Amazon, but I actually want to have it in my hands on Friday, without extra costs from shipping or scalping. Oh, and the 4GB memory card is a nice little plus, especially since those proprietary little fuckers are so expensive.

So. Thoughts? Advice? Help?

PS: You may want to reconsider Modnation and get Sonic Racing instead

I have Sonic Racing for the Wii U already. I told myself I'd stop double dipping a while ago. I realized that I started rebuying games on my PC that I had on XBLA or PSN. I just can't. It's a waste.

I got the Ass Creed bundle during Black Friday. Honestly, the memory card is too small to really do anything but save games and maybe download a couple of demos. Ass Creed on the Vita is very mediocre, too. I can't recommend it at all.

I'd recommend getting the base unit for as cheap as you can and picking up the biggest memory card you can afford (16 GB minimum). That way you can actually get some games off of PSN.

Get Playstation Plus, if you can. Some of these games are free on both the European and North American plus. It's a lot cheaper, even if you have to buy a bigger memory card :p

PS+ on VITA pretty much is the best thing on it at the moment.

I got the games on standby via my PS3, and will continue to wait into next year for another price drop/remodelling.

I don't think that list is missing anything. The Vita has a stellar library of quality games. A nice sized memory card is the big thing. I got a bigger one to hold all the digital content I have.

Get a larger memory card (16gb) and PS+.

These on your list are free with it:

- Gravity Rush
- Uncharted Golden Abyss
- Wipeout 2048

You will also get a cross buy copy of Retro City Rampage which shares saves between the PSN and PSV version.

I should have mentioned that I was gonna sell AC3. I have no interest in it. I just wanted that bundle for the white Vita and the memory card.

Oh, I was thinking about getting a bigger card. The PS+ promo doesn't sound too bad. The selection of free games is solid, but the idea of losing them once I decide not to subscribe anymore is a bummer.

Yeah, I realized that last night. How big are those games? Would a 16GB be sufficient?

There are a lot of neat quirky titles only on PSN that are worth checking out like Dokuro, Motorstorm RC (believe this is still free afaik) and Mutant Blobs Attack (definite must imo).

And yeah get PS+. Should probably get it before Tuesday since they're replacing Jet Set with a pretty shitty game nobody in Europe likes.

Get Playstation Plus, and get at least an 16GB memory card unless you've got a PS3 or PC you want to store the games on. I have an 8GB and that doesn't feel like enough.

The current selection of games is crazy awesome tho, I have stuff to last me months bordering on a year or more.

Honest opinion? If you want lots of psn games, you should cut out modnation racers and resistance, buy a larger memory card.

Anyways, additions I would consider : Metal Gear solid Collection, Hot shots golf open invitational, touch my katamari.

Bolded are free on PS+ at the moment.

In addition to that RCR and Jet Set Radio which are both not so good.
MGS HD Collection for $17
Hot Shots Golf for $9
Unit 13 for $13

Get a cheap Vita, buy as big a card as you can justify to yourself and get PS+.

Uncharted is 3067 MB
Wipeout: 2376 MB with the HD Fury add-on (which is around 580MB) which I got for 12 dollars because it's pretty good value if you got Wipeout for free.
Hot Shots: 1389 MB
Unit 13: 1194 MB
Persona 4 GOLDEN: 3142 MB
AC3:L: 2704 MB

I have a 16gb with all of the PS+ stuff installed and still have around 10gb left.

Get Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack from PSN. It's not the Vita's best game, but you've already listed the Vita's best game (Persona 4 Golden) and its second best game (Gravity Rush). This is its third best game.

Yes, I have a PS3 (OG 60GB Phat) and a PC (of course).

I already own Jet Set Radio on Steam.

If you got a decent amount of space on your PC I'd use it for games and stuff. Games and saves are tied to each other, so it's better to back up something than delete it and lose the save game.

Did you own a PSP? There are some fantastic PSP games available for download, and they look amazing on the screen.

Oh, and good luck selling AC3. If it's anything like the Call of Duy bundle, it doesn't come with a proper case for the game.... -.-;

Skip out on a game or two, look at the games that are on PS+ and see if there is any overlap (I'm not sure when Uncharted:GA comes off of PS+) and just get a 32g card. My 16 is topping out every other week.

I had a PSP Go for a little bit. I only used it for messing around with homebrew. I barely used it. I plan on getting heavy use out of my Vita. I see my tastes changing. I've always been a console gamer. But since last year, I've been heavily dedicated to my PC. I was never into handhelds until I got a DS and then a 3DS. In fact, my GF got my a 3DS XL for Xmas. Needless to say, I love it. There was a whole new world and catalogue. of games that I had been ignoring for years. Plus, being able to play games in bed or while taking a dump is a huge bonus too.

I'm not getting all of those games all at once. Ain't blowing that big of a load so soon :p

Dont know if you're into fighting games but Mortal Kombat and MVC3 are pretty good on the vita as well.

I've heard awful things about MK for Vita. Mahvel might be fun, but I'd prefer to play a game like that with my sticks.

SFXTekken? LOL. Fuck that game.

If you bought any games for the PSP Go, they work with your Vita too. Quite a nice benefit eh?

The only thing I would say is turn DJ Max from a maybe to a definitely. It's crack son. It's so good.

The Vita version of Sonic Racing Transformed isn't good graphically. Of course it's to be expected that it doesn't look as good as the console versions, but it also looks worse from than other Vita racing games. It also has more framerate issues, though nothing major.

Gameplay-wise it's almost as good though.

Nope. Never did. Straight up homebrew

Ouch, what a waste of a device considering how many amazing niche titles there are on the PSP. Oh well.

Keep in mind you will gain everything back after resubscribing.

Yeah this too, as long as you tried to download it once and it's in your download list, you keep it. And honestly, the $50 a year isn't that much even for someone as poor as me.

The Wii U version has bad framerate (then again, you're talking to someone who's been spoiled by constant 60fps for over a year now...). The textures are poor, the gamma is too high and it definitely appears the game is sub 720p and merely upscaled. Still, It's a fun game. I just wish it wasn't a shitty port.

I got used one, that was never used, for a very low price. Not a big deal.

I would highly suggest against modnation and instead double dip on Sonic Racing, or get NFS Most Wanted. Sonic Racing is great on Vita.

Those games that are free with PS+... do they stay playable even if you stop subscribing to PS+ it becomes uplayable?

Once your subscription ends, your access to those games that you got for free ends. However, if you buy a discounted item through PS+, you would still own those games.

If you aren't going to play them all at once, I suggest getting a PS+ subscription. Lots of those games will likely eventually be released as part of it, so you can save a bunch of cash.

(and you can already get Uncharted and Gravity Rush as part of it)
