I'd love a show like that. Is there any golf anime?
isnt precure the kids show where public events get ruined by creepy otaku?
why would you want to give them legitimate claws into the franchise??!?

Isn't that every show?

Filler arc still good, though it doesnt make sense in the context of canon, or rather it highlights a major flaw of one piece.
How does it even make sense that Zoro and Luffy would struggle against such characters when they have such huge bounties and have both defeated foes much stronger than these filler characters, utterly baffling that they could only stay on the defense the whole time
. Why we only get a silhouette of Z...

Maturity, bitches.
Need to get the yuri bowling show first.

EDIT: Did someone dip Luffy in oil? He's super shiny. Is this how you like 'em DTL?

a little bit of yuri fanservice never hurt anyone. Have you not learned from Strawberry Panic? Even the name of that show is amazing.

With a title like that you'd think it would be a show about a terrorist attack during Wimbledon.

Didn't the Mystical Laws win best impressions screenshot? Hope that doesn't sound too egotistical.

I edited you in already. The post I placed originally was incomplete.

Hironori Tanaka's hyper-activeness transcends boundaries and frontiers! So good.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet this interesting video made a good job in showing the most prominent studios that collaborated in the making of Batman: The Animated Series:

Great stuff, thanks.

Oh, sweet. I almost missed this.

I've missed this show even if this ep seemed to force a ton of the cast in just because. Somewhat understandable if it's going to be more than one ep, I suppose. Gin/baby stuff was top notch though.

I might have messed the alphabetical order a bit, but you all can figure it out. If you want to see the actual posts search for them using some of the wording provided in the award title.

In any case, here it is, the results nobody asked for! How many awards did your favorites get?

2012 Awards results :

Anime:

Kids on the Slope:

Most Hilarious Out of Context Bullying Scene
Best Walk
Best use of music in anime (Episode 7)

Nisemonogatari:

Greatest Hygiene
Best Evil Face

Psycho-Pass:

Most Hipster Moment
Worst Lit Characters
Worst Avatar for a Virtual World

Teekyu:

Best Mascot: Chick Ball
Best Female Pervert
Best Sports Show

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun :

Best Misunderstanding
Best Metal Gear reference
Girl Least Likely to "Put Out" - Shizuku
Cutest Vomit - Shizuku

Special thanks to wonzo for starting this whole awards ceremony.
All of this is just right. This is so one of the best subgroups on GAF. Nise should have the darkest character down too. Kaiki is greed and ominousness personified.

Dragonball 1 - 153

The manga certainly had more charm, but the English dub was fun in a really corny, over the top way.
The tournaments and the training were certainly the highlights, while goku helping random people being the least interesting. The lighting used for the energy moves is still one of the coolest things and definitely where it benefits from being animated.

and it had a fat cat with a cane that trolls everyone!

I give it 8 dragonballs out of 10, while DBZ would be a 5

Well :D

isnt that a filler flaw, rather than a one piece flaw?

I think its just an overall writing flaw of oda that the anime staff must be constrained too, that is, characters must lose or draw against new enemy, then face them a second time, kind of makes the story really predictable and the characters seem way weaker than they really are.

I appreciate your efforts, sire, you have used your time far more wisely than I. A true hero.

You have, however, missed a couple. That sounds rather picky but you did such a great job that I wanted to see it complete!

Also, Shizaku was not the girl vomiting in Tonari - that was Natsume!

nope
predictable is shit like Fairy Tail, where you know they will just win
sometimes Luffy and Zoro never beat certain people, or they lose for good reason

you can see Odas inspiration from Toriyama in terms of having the characters lose before triumphing (sometimes). Its a far better way of demonstrating the differences and measurements of their strengths than having them win all the time.

I'm aware. There were so many posts (and some not bolded) that I seemed bound to skim over a few. By "complete", I most definitely mean "I typed down a lot of these and am at the last page than "I am 100% sure this is 100%". Apologies to anyone who had one saved up all this year only for the list to skip it! If you want it on and it was posted, I'll put it in when I can.

On the Tonari correction, Seraphis Cain beat you to the punch!

I only came equipped to deal with bad anime opinions. I was not prepared for people to say The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas is shallow because it is an adventure story, that it was pulp, or that Gankutsuou is deeper than the novel ever was.

Tokyo Encounter 16

Everyone dressed up as their favorite animal (maybe) to play Sonic Adventure 2 and then we watched them played a kawaii game with moe characters in Left4Dead. Yuuki Aoi plays the best old man too.

I don't even have an appropriate response to that, really. I can't think of anything constructive to write, nor does my .gif folder have any material suitable to react to the enormity of such a comment.

This is why I don't listen to the ANNcast.

Oh TRIGGER Inc., one could say they just moved in... and already expanding? Another floor of the same building (the 'Hewlett-Packard Ogikubo Office' building; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hewlett_packard_japan_ogikubo.jpg) they also share with other Ultra Super Pictures associated companies, with apparently more espace to enjoy!

Compare it with the seemingly more "confined" space they tried to make themselves comfortable in:

Judging by your posts, and the posts of others who dispense news, it seems like the two languages that are the most helpful in keeping up to date with animation news are Japanese and French. I suppose that should come as no surprise considering they're the two largest anime markets in the world.

The irony is, of course, that "Gankutsuou", as in "the book currently known in Japan as Gankutsuou" is a children's adaptation of Count of Monte Cristo!

I'll confess to never having read the original Count of Monte Cristo, which is probably something I should correct (although I have read The Star's Tennis Balls, which is pretty much the same thing, right?). My understanding was that it is sort of pulpy, though, isn't it? Or is that just using "pulp" incorrectly as a synonym for "popular"?
