The show has a slow pace.
Its really relaxed. Its very intelligent though.
Holo is as wise as she is cute.
Lawrence's chemistry with her is marvelous.
Oh and dont piss Holo off.
Not a good idea.

I will have to take your word on this. I will try to watch it soon, but first I have to finish my collection of yoshitoshi ABe works from Texhnolyze and NieA_7 first.

Weird you mention Xam'd since this show quickly falls apart, too. Never hit the highs Xam'd did, but collapses faster.
Looks like you might be right about Occult Academy after all.
Time travel
has been thrown into the mix. That almost never ends well.

Speaking of time travel, Steins;Gate pulled off the butterfly effect so masterfully that I want more.
Any other shows that were able to depict a competent butterfly effect?

Can't answer your question, just wanted to point out a major derp on my part today. I saw Steins;Gate blu-rays at Best Buy today, and I remembered what you said about them, so I bought it. Only it was the second volume or something and only has episodes 13-25 or whatever. I'll have to buy the first twelve on Amazon or something.

Spice and wolf is back ordered?
Are you ordering blurays or dvd?

No, but that's precisely why I might watch it. It was blu-rays that I ordered, all in the Christmas sale. I got a fresh order update only today, which was just to let me know that it's still not ready!

So I ordered more stuff, Steins;Gate and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Fool me once...

Spoilers, people, for the anime up to date and the film!

Only for the first trip, when Mutta goes to visit Hibito at home, meets Apo and discovers the letters with Hibito's last wishes, and for Hibito's launch. The extra exam in Houston for Mutta doesn't happen - the film ends after the third exam in the capsule and concurrent events in Hibito's life, which I won't mention as they haven't happened in the anime yet.

I guess what I was asking is if they actually shot on location or if they redressed a Japanese city. lol

It's a Famicom game! How long do you think those are!
Ask Arino. Some of them he can't even finish!

I can say with 100% certainty that you cant go wrong with Steins;Gate.

Holy fuck that was a fantastic episode. I have no idea how KyoAni is doing it, but more episodes like this please.

This and episode 7 so far have had the best endings

I personally have this opinion that Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr had that effect going on and managed it to end up having a competent story.

Baccano as well?

Yea I guess baccano sort of.
But not the way Steins;Gate did it.
I guess I was spoiled by it.
You come across an anime that is extremely enjoyable and when its over you look for a similar hit.
its like a drug.
Im addicted to Steins;Gate.

Afraid of what may I ask?

This hype and expectation. I have never seen any Anime before that was so revered so strongly by all demographics.

That was just a joke, but I have to explain myself further of why am I hesitant to watch it

Any EU release?

Speaking of which: £200 worth of Anime titles are lost forever by former Landlord and I haven't watched half of them. :(

Bloody Hell!

And you know, don't all these games have porn versions on PC anyway? That must be super awkward, especially if you bring it up while working. lol
Sadly, Tange Sakura has never done any adult voice roles.
Although it was her role in the Sega Saturn port of Doukyuusei that made me a fan of her.

Sucks at poetry
not grumpy just full of negativity

There is an episode in Escaflowne that presents a point I find to be fitting for this moment.

Allen and Hitomi stand alone together, watching Van practice from a distance. Allen recalls a critical moment of his past to Hitomi. During this flashback, Allen is seen to be sparring (or doing battle with), his mentor Balgus. Allen is struck down and defeated on the floor. He wonders intensely why he can't win. Was it his technique? Was his blade not sharp enough? Balgus stands over him, and in a moment of obscene clarity, he drops the illest, most sagest, life-altering, bomb-ass advice right on Allen's unsuspecting little head. "It is not your sword which must be honed, but yourself." he says. This is an answer which not only takes time and life experience to fully understand - it also takes failure, humility, and maturing. Allen lost, not because he was a poor swordsman, but because he did not respect himself - in the same sense that he did not fully understand himself either. As Allen continues to recollect somberly to Hitomi, he says "In truth, mastering the sword means mastering one's self." ...this of course, applies to other disciplines as well. You will never become a better artist until you become a better person, Uchip. Think about this, and let it soak into your head... like the cum stains which have soaked into my ex-girlfriend's favorite sweater. But fear not... for you were meant to ascend. If you wish to hone yourself then cast aside your doubt, for only you can break free of the cynical shackles of negativity! Now... rise, my son.

Why you post like that.
Not really annoying now.
I kinda of have accepted it by now.
But it's really strange.

Kasumi from DOA is probably the closest to adult she's gotten, but they switched seiyuu in DOA 3, 4 and 5 to Kuwashima Houko. Though she did return for DOA: Dimensions for whatever reason. o_o

A lot of people post like that don't they?
I know I've seen it before.
Might have been in this very thread.

Surprise, surprise, I haven't done much of anything tonight. Mainly just burning CDs I bought onto my computer. Sigh. I may watch more Cowboy Bebop tonight if my brother's up for it. Otherwise, I dunno. No more Yami tonight.

I'm not expecting much out of this season, but I sure am open to surprises! I only know I'll be sticking with Haganai S2 because I stuck with the first season for some reason. Maybe it was the mecha fetish part, I dunno.

I know I've been gone for a while, but a whole new OT? Man, this makes me a bit sad. Anyway, Christmas and Finals have really messed up my anime watching habits. A week without HxH and JoJo is kind of driving me nuts as well. May be time to start back up on Gintama.

I find it hilarious and mildly intimidating that Kyokaisen Horizon is considered a light novel.

Wow. I heard that the Horizon novels were large, but I just looked up the first novel and apparently it's 1,200 pages split into two novels. That's kinda ridiculous.

Light enough to use as a weapon!

Also, cause it's always fun to see how much material Horizon actually has:

The volumes below Season 1 are the prequel or the series that takes before Horizon and the tiny volumes at top are the stuff that came with the Blu-Rays. This stack is also missing the newest stuff.

Everyone knows the bigger the book, the better it gets.

Maybe I should get in on this before it ends up 500 eps.

Is Horizon really that good?

Bit the bullet and signed up for Hulu Plus to finish Ah! My Goddess. Commercials aren't bothering me nearly as much as I thought they would, mainly cause I like to browse GAF even while watching anyway. And they were over midway through typing this post.
