So torn between voting for the bygone legend, CVS2, and the new hotness, Divekick.

If getting CVS2 into EVO gets us that much closer to a GGPO-enabled version of that game, then I might have to vote for it. I want that so badly.

I saw Bee's name on there but I thought it was vs Infrit. I think it's Marlin vs CapCombofiend.

Smash is a given if they really want it. I wish it were two player's choice games, but this is better than nothing, I guess.

Nah, that was just my own crazy list. KOF really needs to be separate from the big boys in order to avoid time issues, though. Hopefully Marvel is the main event this time. A couple of hours does not make a 30k viewer gap unless it is five in the morning or something.

Drewgrimey vs Clockwork is going to be a good one. Battle of the best Vergil + Strider players and it's essentially the best Dark Strider player in the US competition.

I like Mr.Wizard's answer to studio's donating. If it's a terrible game but someone donates $20k to charity, I'd respect it.

I didn't understand highlighting a Latif vs Infiltration matchup in that SCR trailer.

Infiltration will absolutely body Latif without breaking a sweat. That shit's fray.

Honestly that's the best part of rap for me. That's why Eminem is one of my favorite rappers. How he used just go after people in his younger days was just career shredding. Condom Style was basically just bring attention to unprotected sex so for that I respect the song.

Basically this. Thats what the discussion will be.

The Melee community has majors every month. Sometimes multiple times a month. Its having a major this weekend (APEX) and another the next (Wintergamesfest). Its locals pull more than WNF and Big Two in some locations (Norcals been getting 60-70 regularly lately). They have the power to have their own event, with a full 3 day stream, and won't have to deal with this bullshit.

Honestly I don't blame them.

This enitre thing seems like bullshit. Not the money towards BC, that's awesome as hell. However making the fan game be reliant on it when the clear winner for the fan game is already Smash. If anythign it feels like a way to take advantage of that community when there is no way they even give them half the time or amount of care they will to the other main event games.

It's not even the gems. The game is just garbage all around.

There's some games that are fun to play/boring to watch and vice versa. That does not apply to SFxT. It sucks when you play and it sucks when you watch.

maybe with that big patch it will bump the game from unplayable garbage tier to just bad. it's not going any higher than that

The thing that stinks most is that the site doesn't appear to reveal how much has been donated, so nobody will know who's leading until the announcement. Will they ever reveal actual numbers for each game? Would be much better if it was a Chip In or something.

There should be no surprise. Smash would probably bring more people than MK and KOF combined and they are practically guaranteed to win the poll if they wanted. If this had been a Namco game or SFxT they would have made it in based on Smash's numbers alone. It is a GREAT cause, but this just makes the smash scene wary and most other scenes know they don't stand a chance if Smashers want it.

I'm just gonna try and donate for the fight against breast cancer since my donation won't change the lineup in the end. Not bitter on my part at all. Good on Wiz and the illuminati for making such calculated decisions.

OT but Condom Style was just so corny man, there's a way you gotta do it. Not a freestyle over Gangnam style where you're way out of character. I understand Cass had amnesia and changed after that accident he had, but damn that sounded like someone put a gun to his head and told him to cut a promo.

I don't see why they wouldn't do this?

Most donation drives in the FGC do this already with counters on the stream page, I think EVO did too update people last year with their fundraiser, don't see why they wouldn't again.

Not at all, if anything the Donation should have been something the entire FGC did to show support in the fight against BC.

As it stands though it seems like a way to take advantage of a community that EVO has shunned when just accepting them would already do more for EVO then at least two of it's featured games, but that isn't enough and EVO are forcing them to buy their way in anyway.
