I just got mine today (I ordered back in early September) but I have yet to open it.... I may just try and hold onto it for a while and buy the normal game to play...

I'm curious did the PSN preorder for NA also had the two preorder bonus dlc, the Griffy and Flutterby? Cause in the UK PSN the preorder for Ni no Kuni had them, but like every PSN preorders price was crazy, and I don't know who would download the game (Read: Huge DL size) though.

It releases this Friday so should have more news on that, my guidebook though has charged therefore dispatching tomorrow or so.

I just checked my tracking, they just left it at my door... I live in an apartment. I just rushed out of work and am heading home now, I fully expect it to be gone....

Good heavens. Mine might be on the way home too then, in the case. I'm having to get my parents to forward the game onto me, which might take a couple of days. ShopTo don't let you change addresses until you first place a few orders with them; I've moved away since I opened the account. I just might have it waiting for me on Thursday / Friday if this is the case!

Yeh. I only kept this order because someone here wanted the UK one and missed out on preordering. It's going to cost a ton because they're charging about 60 pounds to courier it here (they originally cancelled my order saying they didn't offer courier but required it to be sent by courier, but then reinstated the order and offered that monstrous shipping charge - I was going to cancel it but I figured if someone wanted to pay that much I'd keep it for them, and then found somebody so yeh).

My charge emails came through last night but the dispatch email went to spam, so check there too!

I ordered with The Hut back in July, so I like to think that my order is secure, but after with everything that has happened with the US orders, I don't want to risk any chances!

1. Pre-orders through NinoStarter were taken in the summer/September.
2. In January, it was announced they had some extras they would sell. A lot of people ordered during this time. They oversold.
3. There were some billing issues with Digital River, so they cancelled orders instead of trying to fix the problem. This affected people who had pre-orders from half a year ago.
4. A lot of people started getting cancellation emails. Most were from January 17, but some of the "billing issues" people too.
5. People called and Digital River assured them that it was a mistake and their orders were not cancelled. It turns out that was mostly false. Several cancellation emails were sent, including one with a $20 coupon for the Namco store.
6. On the 24th Digital River created a "secret link" for people with wrongly cancelled orders to use, but it got leaked to the public and a lot of people who weren't supposed to use that link used it.
7. People got really angry they weren't going to get the Wizard Edition. The angriest person being the "hey everyone, chillax" poster from earlier in the thread.
8. A few days later, Namco apologized and offered all people who got cancellations a free copy of the strategy guide.
9. Not everyone is satisfied with the guide as compensation. Some people think they deserve more compensation because the highest price the Wizard Edition is selling for on eBay is $400. Or are demanding a reprint.


There was also a lot of conspiracy theories about PlayCanada having 200+ copies for sale in eBay. The reason they had that many was because they ordered during NinoStarter, where there was no limit to the number you could order.

The end result is that most of the NinoStarter people will get their orders. A small number of the 17th people will get their orders. Some lucky people who got the link on the 24th will get orders.
Most of the anger is from January 17th people who were cancelled and aren't happy with getting the guide for free because they feel they deserve the Wizard Edition or like-value compensation.

Basically, Digital River mishandled orders and people are unhappy they're missing out.

I still haven't got anything from fishpond, ordered on Saturday. I have both amazon de and fr as backup though. Does anyone know if the French WE has English on the box? It looks like it does from the Amazon listing but could be incorrect...

My WE is set to arrive tomorrow from my 7/1/12 pre-order. At this point I'm torn between actually opening it or just keeping it for collector's purposes.

Can anyone who has theirs confirm the expiration date for the Golden Mite & Drongo DLC Code? The Australian version expires in January 2014; does the US one expire then as well?

Why would anyone need a reprint? Obviously they have plenty of English books available, considering they are selling in Germany in an apparently unlimited number.
