That is a trailer. Seems to be a lot of doubts about this game but that got me hyped.
good catch, she's definitely changed and for the better. no doubt about it, best design so far. hope they stick with it.
Likely just something disabled for presentation reasons. Whether or not you can disable them remains to be seen.
They probably just turned off the HUD which is done for every game trailer but will still be there when you're playing it. I don't remember, did Bioshock 1 allow you to disable them?Ahhh yay, they got rid of the hit markers, they must have heard me complaining!
Yep, she sure has some things changed. Her face is more smooth, the shadow falls better, it doesn't have those dark lines under her eyes anymore, possible the hair as well.

Eyes are fine now but that thumb? wtf ...
Nope MP got canceled.
oh god, I'd forgotten how hideous her last design was. god, what were they thinking.
Eh, I think you could boil down a lot of things in just about every single creative medium to that description. So, uh, is anyone else bored with playing the same game over and over again?
Rough but cool looking man/guy/dude.
Save the girl/save the world.
The End.
I think she will lose the finger through the gameplay. The picture and trailer shows that. It has to be a good reason, because she appears like that in their covers with the finger cut.
Looks nice, but I kind of wish they had a silent protagonist like the original BioShock. Its just jarring to me whenever a game has a voiced protagonist but its all in first person and you never see your character actually talking, or ever even see your character in. third person view. There is always that moment of not being sure who is talking- your character or someone else.
Was that Powers Boothe doing voice over in the beginning?

I enjoyed both Bioshock 1 & 2, I really can't see how this can possibly suck. I just can't.

What? Is this a troll post or are you serious? When was the last time you played a shooter that took place in the air? And have you even seen the enemies? The culture? Do you even know anything about this game? By that logic every movie in the world has the same story-line. And even if you were right, then have you not seen the masses of other games that are unlike anything you've ever played before?

I know that, i'm talking about this.
and it's not her thump which gets cut off
Is this trailer spoilerific? I wanna know before I watch.
Looks great. Now to decide whether I want to get the PC version for those PC graphics or the PS3 version so I can actually own it.
it is a little. if you've avoided trailers so far, I'd avoid this one as well. shows off some of the various enemies you'll be facing as well as some of the story elements with regard to elizabeth.
I...don't follow.

Oh, it wasn't my intention to troll. And I am not talking about every intricate detail of the narrative nor the gameplay mechanics.
I'm just asking, as a general question regarding a majority of games, why does the basic plot most of the times tend to be about a dude doing something spectacular, like fighting a gazillion enemies (and most of the time all by himself, at that).
I don't know.. I just think it's tiresome to always play a hero of some sort..
I was sold the minute they announced 1999 mode.

Too late. I caved.
My reaction?
What's this?
BioShock Infinites 1999 Mode will feature an especially demanding gaming experience, forcing you to examine your decisions while going through your adventure in Columbia. With every choice you make, there are irreversible implications, and if your choices guide you down a path not suited to your play style, you will suffer for it.
Its not simply a matter of adjusting the difficulty sliders in the game the team went much further than that. Resource planning? If youre to survive this mode, proper planning will be crucial. Combat specializations? Youll need to develop them efficiently and effectively throughout the story; any weapon will be useless to you unless you have that specialization. Combat? You will need to carefully target every shot, and your health will be set to an entirely different baseline. Game saves? Well, yes, there will be those, but according to Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine there are game saves, and youre gonna f***ing need them.
We want to give our oldest and most committed fans an option to go back to our roots, said Levine. In 1999 Mode, gamers face more of the permanent consequences of their gameplay decisions. In BioShock Infinite, gamers will have to sweat out the results of their actions. In addition, 1999 Mode will demand that players pick specializations, and focus on them.
