Battlesphere for the Atari Jaguar...worth around $500-$700. I have a complete Jaguar colection and besides Battlesphere, several of the titles go for around $100 these days.

Burning Rangers (Saturn)

Snatcher (Sega CD)

Here is my Ultima, Age of Enlightment Trilogy (Atari ST versions).

Probably an original copy of Ico and several smaller print run games by Atlus or localized by them.

Is Radiant Historia even rare still? I have it, but they did a reprint didn't they?

Also Cubivore. Probably not worth much, but moderately rare as far as I understand it.

EDIT: Apparently Pokemon Box for the Gamecube is rare? I have that guy.

Gahiggidy

My aunt & uncle run a Mom & Pop store, "The Gamecube Hut", and sold 80k WiiU within minutes of opening.
God, its probably any one of the Turbo Duo games I have packed away.

I don;t remember if I posted in this thread first time around - I'll go back and re-read it and drool at the rarities :D

Mine is probably this, or it might just be expensive rather than rare:

MGS%203%20Premium%20Package%20(2).jpg

NB: not my photo, I think that's from an ebay listing.

I have a PAL copy of the first print run of the original Suikoden, I think that's been reprinted though.

Twin Snakes, Icaruga GC; Xenogears (doubt this is really rare, but I remember it being expensive on eBay when I got it about 8 years ago). I'll have to have a look through my crates again and see what's in there!

I have a neat press copy of Hearts of Iron II that I assume is rare. It's an old-school binder, sort of, and includes 15 pages of basic info on WWII which I think is a nice touch :)

I also own a boxed and, afaik, complete copy of the original Prince of Persia for DOS, I've no idea if it's rare but I couldn't find anything on eBay or elsewhere. Would be fun to know if it's worth anything.

I have Radiant Historia but seeing as it didn't come in a box w a CD I'm guessing I got the reprint? I had no idea any version was considered rare when I bought it (new for $10!)

Great game.

If this thread is anything to go by I guess I have some other stuff? I have PAL Twin Snakes with its awesome red cover art, and an original Australian copy of Shadow of the Colossus with the cardboard case and the postcards- no idea if that's rare though.

Might have some N64 game worth something, but otherwise a copy of Big Rigs Over The Road Racing.

Last year, I grabbed a copy of Tales of Eternia for the PS1 for $150. It was cheaper by about fifty bucks than I've ever seen it, so I grabbed it, thinking that I was getting a rare JRPG, and worse case I could sell it for a decent amount.

Since then I have sporadically checked out the prices online, and they're about half that.

;_;

I have a copy of Tomba for the PS1 but the manual is missing pages and the disc is heavily scratched that i bought for $1 at a going out of business rental store.

I also have sonic blast man II for the snes.

these two aren't that super rare by any means but i'll take small rare B^)

I have a lime green see through game boy pocket, is that rare?

edit: also have a sealed conkers bad fur day for N64.

I sold mega man X and mega man X 2 and a shit load of snes games(yoshis island, zelda link to the past, turtles in time, DKC 1,2,3, mario world, etc) to a gaffer for like $180-$2something i think a couple years back, i should have kept it :(

but..............i have found some of those in thrift stores recently, they are coming back :D

Burning Rangers: $40 used way back when
Magic Knight Rayearth: $50 retail
Space Adventure: $30 Flea Market
Shining Force 3: $30 used way back when
Mother 3 GB Micro & Mother 3: 16,000 yen when it was new in 2006

Total value today: About $800

I have no idea. Skies of Arcadia for Dreamcast maybe?

I also have the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 CE, which apparently goes for quite a bit.

Hmmmm... bad info.

Anyway, I was looking up some stuff last night. Nothing I have is quite on par with Tron Bonne and M.U.S.H.A., but I have a lot of stuff that's valuable. I suppose it's retirement fodder in 30 years.

I do have a sealed Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow that I suspect will go up in value a lot over time.

djtiesto

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
Some of my rarest stuff:

Ni No Kuni Wizard's Edition
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood
Radiant Silvergun
EVO
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Earthbound
Valkyrie Profile (PS1)
Arc the Lad Collection
Shining Force 3
Dragon Force
Guardian Heroes
Magic Knight Rayearth
Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete

Probably the NA Saturn versions of Magic Knight Rayearth and Shining Force 3
Also have a DC version of Twinkle Star Sprites and a copy of (SAT) Atelier Marie v1.2 with the entire Gust art card set.

Here are some I think are a bit harder to come by than most, all except RAD (damn PS2 scratching my discs) are in great condition with the original cases.

Suikoden II
Arc the Lad Collection
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete Collection
RAD (Robot Alchemic Drive)
Xenogears
Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Mega Man Legends 2
Dragon Warrior 7
Castlevania Symphony of the Night

Pretty hard to guess what genre I played the hell out of on my PS1 :p.

@Bumblechump Nice! Dig that guitar and the Mother 3 GBA. I always wanted to play Shining Force 3 (Because I loved 2) but never had the chance :(.

I only have the original Earthbound.

I thought I still had Suikoden II for PS1 back at my parents house along with other games, but my younger brother sold most of my collection for pocket cash years after I left the nest. I get so angry every time I remember that. He sold them dirt cheap too.

I'd probably say Earthbound or a copy of Radiant Historia from their second run.

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't know how rare it is, but Rocket: Robot On Wheels for the N64 which was made by Sucker Punch (and also their first game, as I just now checked). I don't know anyone else who has it, or has really heard about it (at least in real life, dunno about GAF), but I'd think that would be one of them.

It has a snazzy red cartridge too.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii.

Vanquish is hard to find at retail these days. I got it though.

I don't think I have any truly rare games but I definitely have some uncommon ones. I have a complete copy of Earthbound and that's not really rare just expensive as hell. I also have all the megaten titles on ps2, radiant historia, metroid prime trilogy, megaman X2 and some others I probably can't think of. I probably have more games that are just expensive not rare.

Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Is that Ocarina of Time/Master's Quest Gamecube collector's disk thingy rare?
What about the Zelda Collector's Edition with, Zelda 1/2, OoT, and MM?
I also still have the Metroid Prime Hunters Demo Cart.

I guess the rarest games I own are near mint condition PAL versions of Earthworm Jim and Earthworm Jim 2 for the MegaDrive

I also have a copy of Star Trek Birth of the Federation for PC, but sadly without the big cardboard box to put it in, so it loses a lot of its value...

Both in pretty much mint-condition. My memory may be foggy, but I think these games could only be found on American shelves for like a week before THQ regretted publishing them and stopped production. Then it was basically a Canada/parts of UK exclusive (but not for very long in those areas, either).

IDK what's considered more rare. I have boxed copies of both Zelda NES games and Castlevania 3. I also have the Prime trilogy.... well 2 of those. One is sealed and one is open. Then there's Conker for the N64

I think there is precisely ONE copy of this game, sealed and signed by Mitsuharu Misawa (the squiggles over the title, and he died about a year after signing it and is also one of the 4 cover guys) as well as Samoa Joe, Curry Man (Christopher Daniels) & Takeshi Morishima.

I think I might have that bundle of Earthbound with the strategy guide somewhere. Suikoden 2 and the boxed copy of Planescape Torment are probably pretty rare these days, too.

Edit: And way too many Sega CD games. I kinda doubt anyone wants Ground Zero Texas, though.

I own PAL copies of SMT 3 and Xenoblade and the US PS1 versions of Persona 2 EP and Castlevania SotN if that's considered rare...
Never been a collector really.

Yeah anyone who owns Xenoblade (or at least the NA version?) can consider it a rarity.

I guess the rarest game I own is Bubble Bobble 2. No box or book since I just got it from some random neighborhood kid in a summer trade years ago. Had no idea it was actually rare until about a year or so ago.

persona 2 is kinda rare and expensive sotn is sorta mid tier but still kinda expensive

either sealed copies of all the super Star Wars games, my earthbound complete, or metroid prime Trilogy I think.

my chrono trigger complete/official
guide lost value when they released it on every GD system in the last 4 years!

edit: or xenoblade sealed
