Roscoes is so overrated in caliThe best one, and a lot more successful than chili and donuts.
EDIT: Gah, JohnDoe.. and I hit Roscoe's a long time before I saw Black Dynamite.

People hating on chicken and waffles without trying it are heretics

I'm now recalling the mystery flavours promotion they had and wondering what the flavours actually *were*.
America's stuff with crisps is really weird. There's so few flavours and they're generally bland - heck, it's not that common to find salt and vinegar out there. Salt and vinegar, dammit! My brother-in-law is a New Yorker and when he came over he was amazed at the range of flavours of crisps in even an average newsagent's.
Go to better stores. I see a wide variety of chips all the time down here in the DC metro area. Salt & Vinegar is extremely common, but I'm more partial to Sour Cream & Onion.I'm now recalling the mystery flavours promotion they had and wondering what the flavours actually *were*.

It exists, I've seen 'em. They're uncommon, but they're out there. Pretty sure it's Herr's brand, which is less common around my usual haunts than Lay's (Walker's in the UK) or Utz (local-ish brand), though. And yet still no Ketchup flavor in USA
I had waffle-breaded fried chicken at Popeye's last weekend. It was really good.
I don't even understand Chicken & Waffles. I won't knock it, I just don't understand it. Are they plain waffles or do you smother them in maple syrup and butter like you would eating waffles on their own? Do you eat the chicken separately, or is the idea for each bite to include some waffle and chicken at once? Is this a fork-and-knife affair like most waffles, or do you use the waffles as some kind of bread for a chicken sandwich? The chicken is fried, I'm assuming.
This thread encouraged me to put some sriracha on some plain chips. Pretty yum.Dear god yes at the Sriracha chips.
Sriracha goes great with everything. Tofu, Mac and Cheese, Hummus, Peanut Butter, whatever, I'm sure it'll be the best potato chips around too.

One of these potato chip companies should try this as a flavor...Unless it's already out

hash house?
Syrup, butter and hot sauce. All over everything.
This actually sounds kinda good - except I hate hot sauce, generally. Not the heat that comes from it (although I'm not that huge on spicy), but the taste of the sauce itself.Syrup, butter, hot sauce. Waffles can be plain, though I've had some ones made with cornmeal so that they were more like a johnnycake in flavor. Chicken is fried obviously and you eat the chicken and waffle together so that you get the sweet, salty and savory heat all in one bite. Yes, the waffle is kinda like bread if you want to think of it that way.
Again, plain waffles are not inherently sweet - it's what you put on it that makes it that way. A good plain waffle should remind you of fresh bread really.
I tried it today, not very good. You could hardly taste the waffle and the syrup was awful. The fries and biscuit made it worth $6 thoughI had waffle-breaded fried chicken at Popeye's last weekend. It was really good.

I'm looking for these on the way home.
Felt the opposite, though it does feel like they were mainly aiming for a syrup flavorOk, i went down to the uni's store, to my surprise they had the Chicken & Waffle chips. I of course bought them... They really aren't that good. The flavor is pretty mellow, almost too mellow. I really don't see these lasting
Is this for real or an elaborate joke?
The best combinationChicken and Waffles?

As a native waffle specialist (Belgian) , I can tell you that waffels are not eaten with chicken on the side.
I wonder what waffle and strawberry, waffle and vanilla or waffle and whipped cream flavored chips would taste like.
