Alright, I've got to go to bed so sorry for the four people lined up for invites on Discovery Delta 2. If anyone already in can invite them I'd appreciate it, if not I'll be on sometime tomorrow. Have a free day for the most part hope this nonsense is resolved by then.

Yup time to give up for the night. Hopefully my city was saved... I started 4 cities prior to the group in NA East 2, and none of them saved after the server booted me each time.

Does anybody have a clue on the great works? I accidentally petition for one and got it so I thought why the hell not but I have no idea on how to send over workers.

So... it looks like you really can't reset a city. Damn. Oh well. Shut down all city services, now making 20k an hour until I feel happy with the money I hav and then gonna blow it all up and restart "manually".

Man you know what really grinds my gears? The server status being incorrect in the base client view. All night I thought my server was available only to find out it wasn't when you went to the server list.

I think you can abandon cities in the region, but it might force you to do it to all of them if you have multiple.

Kinda hope it didn't save my city anyway. In a really delicate balance of shutting off oil power (can't afford the import cost) and going completely green but because of a bug I couldn't place a solar panel where it said I could and it ended up completely ruining my plans.

9 hours later and still can't load a city or create a new one. Once all of Europe gets it, it's gonna be hellish for a while. I was so excited for this game, now I'm just drained.

Haha, love the new title. Sorry I haven't been around folks, been busy with work and Tomb Raider. Should be getting my copy tomorrow, but not that that means a lot with these problems. I will update the OT at some point...

I sure hope it doesn't save anything when you spectate in cities. Watched one dude's nuke plant melt down, placed some parks in another city which apparently turned all the sims into arsonists.

That was off the global leaderboard too, wouldn't even need to be friends with someone to grief them.

Yeah you can reset the whole region (well, just start a new region), but you can't reset a single city tile to its original.

are you sure? I think if you go completely broke you can. I had an option after I got hit by zombies and godzilla in a row to reset city,raise taxes, shut off buildings. It basically froze the game and said make a choice to get back into making money.

I can get to the menu, but it keeps telling me the city won't load. Been about 20 hours since I last played, and I was so close to 300k pop too. :(

You can abandon it, but it won't reset :( But it's fine, I just blew it all up.

what do you do when you still have high demand for various things but your city is full and all the roads are at max density and you don't wanna play multiplayer?

Click the great work/Arcology button on the left side of the UI and there should be something about the three requirements, each one has a button with a power symbol. Just click that button and you start sending resources. I'm pretty sure that's how I started sending metal, I hope you have alloy and tvs :/

Yeah, I have metal to send I am just wondering whether it does it automatically or not? Do I have to stop exporting my metal in order for it to end up at the Arcology?

When you click one of the power buttons in the great work site, you'll start sending that resource automatically. I stopped exporting my metal, but I'm not really sure if it affects it.

Cheers, the number changes but its odd I think its the servers not working properly I think once they fix it all it should be okay. Thanks for the help.

Complaining about you not able to get online is not going to fix the problem....If you are that mad return the game and dont bother with it.

Im pretty sure EA or Maxis or who ever is running the servers is trying to fix
the problem. The game came out yesterday, maybe they didnt think the
game was going to be this popular?

I enjoy the game very much and I hate seeing a game thats good get bashed
just because you're impatient people. Grow up.

Guys a question, anyone from you here from the Baltic states ? Is the release date in those countries in Origin the same as UK ? As it is the 7th, and for my friend the one bought in origin is still locked :/

I understand all the frustration and I haven't even had any error messages really. You pay £40 odd of your hard earned money you better expect it to be working as soon as and rightly so.
