Same here in America. Usually about $5 difference and that's all.
A negative of course is that consumers will probably get less for their games because retailers would want to keep their margins the same.

I think you would be able to play it on any console, provided you're connected with your account. It's how it works for digital content on their current console : you can play offline on the console attached to your game, or play it on any other console connected with your XBL account.
That would be in line with all the current "ecosystem" philosophy of Microsoft (and everybody else) : XBLA, Xbox music, Office 365, ...
It might as well be him but we dont know.Guess who that pastebin probably was from? It features his same colorful choice of language. lol
It might as well be him but we dont know.
You tend to give him credit where you like but yet dont call BS where he's contradictory (see his Xbox will run used games vs Kotaku saying it wont). It's really tiring and expected from you, pick and choose whatever floats your boat (agenda).
You dont? Thanks for the laugh bro.So I have a "agenda", huh?
Here in the UK preowned games are not that much cheaper anyway usually. It will depend on how much the activation codes will be in this scenario.
You dont? Thanks for the laugh bro.
Do you see me believing a random poster claiming dual APUs for PS4? So, no.I have as much of an agenda as you if you believe that.
Do you see me believing a random poster claiming dual APUs for PS4? So, no.
So you are telling me it is either "specs wont change at all" or "Durango will have a dual APU"?Should I join the vocal minority saying the specs won't change at all then?
So you are telling me it is either "specs wont change at all" or "Durango will have a dual APU"?
And that's just not it, some other things that you've been cheerleading like; GDDR5 memory, beefier CPU, beefier GPU etc. etc.
I'm not putting anything in your mouth. You saying GDDR5 can happen is widely known, you backing bgassassin's post for CPU tweak is also widely known. That's funny. You sure are good at putting words in my mouth. What other rumor will I back?
Should I stop being optimistic & positive about Durango in a Durango thread?
Besides that you were recently pointing to that dual-APU post from the banned post in B3D in this very thread.http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=47802013&postcount=996
I think the GPU is getting tweaked also.
Stupid rumours are stupid. I hope Microsoft clears things up soon, before the fans are getting really mad.
Guess i will skip it.
And we all know that the codenames were available in a public pastebin much before that .. again BS.
@superDaE Thanks for your confidence and collaboration with us !!! Hope to impress !!!
Also consider what VGLeaks posted recently .. details on Durango CPU and later saying that their info was in fact from 2013.I have been looking at the timeline of these leaks and I think what happened is superDaE (or friends in the US) hacked and obtained the docs for Durango around mid 2012.
On Jan 15 2013 VGleaks tweeted this:
So I'm thinking they swapped docs. superDaE gets PS4 docs and VGleaks get Durango docs. Seems fair!
Then on Jan 23 2013 Kotaku ran the story of receiving 90 PDFs from superDaE on PS4.
I'm not overreacting, it's really getting tiring. And he's been called out multiple times by different people as well.I think, you are way to overreacting. If he wants to be optimistic, let him be optimistic. What's wrong with that?
I don't know, if you are forgetting, that we currently have no clues about any of the "Durango" specs. These are all stupid rumours. There is literally nothing, that we can do about this situation, besides making assumptions.
I'm not putting anything in your mouth. You saying GDDR5 can happen is widely known, you backing bgassassin's post for CPU tweak is also widely known.
Here you are saying GPU will also likely get tweaked;

So which part exactly did I put into your mouth? There is big difference between being optimistic and being wildly optimistic.

I see PC & Wii U in my future.

I said usually and I've still seen a lot of older used games that are priced only slightly cheaper than a factory sealed copy of the same title. This might depend on the game and where you buy it too. That's an extremely short-sighted view. Sure, games that are fairly new are only slightly cheaper used, but both new and used retail games drop dramatically over time. A 5-year-old game may cost a fraction of its original price.
How much cheaper are XBLA / PSN games now than they were 5 years ago?
Also, the relatively high price of recent used games is indicative of a higher resale value.
I still think DaE gets Durango docs,or VGleaks gave DaE their Durango docs and he get Dourango docs by himself at the same time, then found out there are some different part,so he said VGleaks Durango info was old(i know VGleaks said their info from 2013,so i guess one of them is lying)I have been looking at the timeline of these leaks and I think what happened is superDaE (or friends in the US) hacked and obtained the docs for Durango around mid 2012.

https://twitter.com/superDaE/status/299252615823364096In the Kotaku article where he supplied the docs, he said nothing about whether it is true or not, but according to Kotaku's own source, it is.
"SuperDaE, for example, offered nothing about the machine's name nor the look of the console or controller. He said nothing about the idea of the new Xbox requiring a constant online connection, something most recently reported by the respected Edge magazine. (One reliable Kotaku source has told us it's true, though, again, plans can change and the strictness of that online requirement—would it tolerate a spotty signal?—remains unclear.)"
He did like the fact that he played Durango games, but there is no question that he got his hands on a Durango dev kit and dev notes.
man i can't wait until these specs are announced so people can stop trouncing on each other, lol.
Same here. The constant back and forth bickering about specs to a console that hasn't even been officially confirmed yet is mind-blowing to me.
On top of that, the people who are already making conclusions before the system is even revealed are going to feel really stupid if the confirmed specs are different from the various rumors.
Overall, it's the standard habit of people on gaming forums before new consoles are revealed but I'm older now and am just tired of it (lol).

I don't think anyone here felt its all confirmed. Just they made a conclusion based the rumours what we have so far. Nothing wrong with it because they know it could be change at the end. It can be annoy or emotional to the fan base but try your best to keep yourself in control.Same here. I'll be annoyed if MS expect me to pay separate live subscriptions to the 360 and Durango. My current sub runs out this month, so I'm debating whether to renew it or not, knowing it may not carry over to Durango.

It will almost certainly carry over. Xbox Live on PC and Xbox Live on the 360 always shared the same account. I can't think of a single reason they wouldn't carry over your account to the new console.
I haven't kept track of info on the new Xbox since reading the OP a month or so ago, as it turned me off completely. Anyone care to provide a summary of this thread? Are the leaks in the OP pretty much correct at this point? Any new info since?
I'm more concerned about MS subsidizing the Durango.
My subscription to live runs out in July and I may not renew if they subsidize Durango's purchase price with a LIVE subscription contract.
Of course I may forego Durango altogether and just get a PS4 for my next gen needs.
only time will tell

What makes either of you think it will end when the specifications are announced. We're currently seeing a prelude to the main event.
Specs will be announced, more fighting about what either can and can't do. Games will be revealed, more arguing about one console holding the other back and so on. Features will be revealed, more arguing about how pointless features are, etc, etc, etc.
"Making conclusions", or discussing the specs as they are believed to be?
Every page or two someone posts a statement about how we're all getting ahead of ourselves, etc. I then inform said person that a guy who writes on this topic for a living, Richard Ledbetter from the Digital Foundry, has stated he believes the rumored specs are accurate and will be the same, or very nearly the same as the final product. He stated he believes them because his own personal sources in the development community have confirmed the spec leaks we've seen time and time again are accurate.
So to sum things up, we have good reason to believe these specs are real. We are not speculating on things that some random people think might be true.
That's nice. I just simply prefer to wait for official confirmations....
If you are different then that's fine but I'm simply not going to get riled up over things until I know that they are 100% true.

That's great, and you are entitled to do that, but others here do place their trust in reputable sources and do wish to discuss the rumors and their implications. Having someone continually repeat that such behavior is "mind-blowing" is glib and irritating.
