You mean the inbuilt Steam screenshot system? If you go to View > Screenshots in Steam they should come up and you can find where they are in the Steam folder through that.

Screenshots weren't registering via Steam or Afterburner for me.

Do we have any SGSSAA bits for this?

Yea not working for me either. I put Sweetfx and it's accompanying files in the win32 directory but no dice.

Weird. I used it and it works fine for me. Did you run a windows update recently? There was a an update I had to delete because it messed up my SweetFX.

I wouldn't count on it. I get that and I have two SSDs in RAID 0 and 16GB RAM @ 2000Mhz.
Side question for you, do you notice any different with two SSDs in RAID 0 over one? I love raid 0 and used it for years with my old hdds, wasn't sure to could tell with an ssd... aside from say synthetic benchmarks

Wonder of my ssd and 16gb ddr3 will negate this... Or do we think it's not a hardware issue??

Someone said it was an Unreal engine problem, it happens with it apparently. The posted a fix but I didn't try it
Hey I used VPN to unlock and have a quick question. Can I close the VPN and still play the game?

yes. FlyVPN will disconnect after about 10 minutes on it's own anyway. As long as the game is open it will stay open, but if you exit the game with no VPN on then it will revert back to "Pre-load"

downloaded and starting it up. I'll see how my 570 benchmarks it - though based on this thread I'll need to go with with shadows on very high instead of ultra

Unfortunately no it doesn't dx9 it does.

This game doens't run in DX9. In the config, if you set DX10 and DX11 to false, the game won't even start. SO... there's that.

Downsampling seems to be it. Why the heck can't they put MSAA in there at least?

No my windows hasnt' updated anything. I use Sweetfx fine in other games. I really don't necessarily need it as the game looks amazing already.

The AA solution for this game is FXAA. If you look at the benchmark spread sheet, it shows the settings you have and for AA it says FXAA.

Here's a few shots with SweetFX with SMAA (as well as the game's FXAA) and Lumasharpen on:

Ahh thanks, I forgot what button it was :L

What is with this game? I have pressed the screenshot button like a hundred times and I haven't even got anywhere significant at the start yet, amazing

Runs great on my modest laptop with most things on high, I love UE3. Unrelated, but why did they ditch the save anywhere for a checkpoint system though, couldn't quit for 20 minutes because of that. :(

Okay now you've made me want to use Sweetfx. How the hell does it work?? I drop Sweetfx and it's files into the win32 directory where the game exe is and it doesn't work. I switched the dll's to make sure they are SMAA DLL's and it doesn't work. I'm going to try FXAA dll's.

I'm trying to downsample for the first time with an AMD card using the downsampling GUI but whenever i try to enter a resolution in the GUI i get a message 'ERROR: ADL_Display_ModeTimingOverride_Set<> failed!' Can anyone help?

In every DX11 game I can think of that uses MSAA, it isn't very effective. Crysis 3, Hitman: Absolution, Max Payne 3, etc. post-AA gives better results.

I'm having real trouble with the mouse sensitivity being too high. I tried modifying the DefaultUserOptions.ini to the settings that someone had posted earlier in the thread, but the options in the in-game scaler seem to be the same.

Edit: Specifically, I changed the settings to:

MinMouseLookSensitivity=0.100000
MaxMouseLookSensitivity=1.000000

Could anyone post an idiot's guide to reducing the sensitivity to something more manageable?

I use SweetFX Configurator...it does all the work for me. Looking at my directory, I have all of the files in the Win32 folder like you do. What eversion of SweetFX are you using?

JohngPR, how you using SMAA?

SweetFX Configurator. It dropped the files in Win32 (where the .exe for the game is) like you normally would from the looks of it.

Kinda glad to see I'm not the only one with texture pop-in and load-related stuttering.

That aside, the game runs great at 2560x1440 for me without any frame drops.

I am sorry to report this, but I just got the classic (thought to be solved?) green squares freeze on my geforce 580 sli setup. The crash happened during the pivotal story moment of seeing the sky city for the first time. I have experienced the green squares bug in several games last autumn (assassins creed III, codblops II, far cry 3) and I am positive that I saw it in Infinite. Running latest nvidia drivers btw.

Voltage hacking required for nvidia users (400 and 500 series at least) to run bioshock infinite confirmed? Don't mess up initial impressions and bias yourself against the game like I did, just be smart and up core voltage.

It seems utterly ridiculous that the green squares bug is still an issue. Was the game playtested with widely used last gen nvidia hardware at all? Let me predict the time it will take nvidia to fix this based on their previous efforts: three months minimum.

Getting some unexpectedly low frames during the first benchmark section on my 570- the scenes where the camera pans over water drops me from 60 to 45. Aside from that section, I have it pretty locked, but this is after i lowered AO to low and Shadows to very high

Blaaaah. SweetFX isn't working for me. The log keeps saying the initialization of the renderer has failed. Screenshots dont work... settings dont work :(

On the plus side... my no-clip is coming along...

The game runs extremely well for me, there's just two things I'm wondering about that I think belong in here.

1. The built-in VSync doesn't seem to work for me. I also can't seem to force it through D3DOverrider. Any suggestions here?

2. I wanted to record some footage of the game to show how well it's running on my PC with DXTory, the only problem is I cannot get that to work with the game either. Anyone have any ideas?

Forgot my specs:

Core i5 2500k Overclocked to 4.5 GHz
8GB RAM
AMD HD5850

This wait is killing me.

Thank goodness the latest drivers already include the SLI compatibilty bit. I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE it when inspector doesn't have 'em and I'm forced to search for them online.

FXAA is bit of a downer, but mrhandi's SMAA injector should do the trick, right?
