I actually do have a gripe with this game now. The mine-cart levels really aren't too great.

That's putting things mildly, IMO :| I've found all of the mine-cart stages to be completely horrible. Ugh!

That said the beginning (meadow?), beach and show stages make up for them. Thankfully.

Perhaps. :p

I don't like them but they haven't been so egregious as to detract from my enjoyment of the rest of the game (so far), so it's not a big deal at this point. It's easy enough to just beat them quickly and move on.

One of them in particular (on a later level) nearly caused me to chuck my 3DS into a nearby wall. Of course, I may be more temperamental then you :)

Oh dear. :(

Which one were you referring to? I just finished the one in World 7 (Clunkity-Clunk Carting); it's not that one is it? I thought it was pretty easy.

I haven't even started Guacamelee! D:

I want to get through all the stages at normal speed first. After that I'll probably play Guacamelee till I'm done with it and then finally try my luck at fast speed.

Sorry for monopolizing this thread with my double posts but WTF

Silicon Studio collaborated on this game apparently??? @_@

They were in the credits!

Does anyone think it's worth making a thread in attempt to determine and catalogue the max possible scores for the stages where it's not clear-cut? That is, the non-boss, non-mine cart stages.

Could be a useful resource for people who are aiming to get the best scores, and also act as a leaderboard of sorts.

Just a thought.

Just got the 5
birds
to unlock World
8
, and it's really challenging because there's no egg hearts at all. I'm still trying to get gold in everything.

I found out about this website somewhere else (probably GameFAQs)

http://cyberscore.me.uk/game/1255

There's probably some Japanese website that lists high scores, but I don't know Japanese or what to search for.

That world is seriously crazy. I managed to gold them all but it was brutal. Especially the last one. YIKES.

I have gold on all stages (at normal speed) except for a couple bosses now. I'll have to go back and get those done.

Really?? What does it show/say?

Well, it went like this:

pg1. "Thank you very much for playing the game!" [audio: Hello, I'm James, Director of HarmoKnight. Thank you very much for playing the game.]

pg2. "Did you enjoy creating your own music by hitting flowers?" [drawing of a flower]

pg3. "I hope you liked the unlocked stages, too!"

pg4. [drawing of Tempo doing a V-sign with Turner's signature in the corner]

How do I receive this? I have SwapNote but haven't bothered to use it. :-\

How do I get a gold flower on World 5 - Looking for birds? I'm told to find a pile of notes, but I have no idea what he's talking about. My score current score is 146, and that only yields silver.

Hmm, well, it might be too late now, but basically if you have played HarmoKnight then the message is automatically sent to you (along with a special HarmoKnight themed stationery). If it's not too late then I imagine you'll get the message once you start using Swapnote!

I think the "hint" was referring to the location of the bird in that level. I dunno, that stage just requires you to find the optimal path, basically. Although, if you're using charge shots, it shouldn't be difficult to get gold even without taking an ideal route.

Always follow the path that you see notes appear on. Always. It can be tough to notice before it's too late, but I figured it out eventually with a few tries and a close watch.

Can't believe no one's posted in here since April!

I'm having a real hankering to do another playthrough. Maybe I'll finally tackle hard mode.

Well. I asked this in the Nintendo Downloads thread. But is Harmoknight a good purchase for $15? Does the content justify the price? I do love Rhythm Games and Gamefreak :p But I also just have $15 to spend at the moment in the eshop. So If I use it all in one game I want to be sure it's worth it.

You love rhythm games and you love Gamefreak? Sounds like a no-brainer.

Didn't want to make a new thread for a small game like this, but I'm one level away from getting gold medals on everything: fast Baroque Trial

Fuck. This. Level.

In some ways it's worse than the fast Final Trial, which took me for fucking ever. But this one has fire pits which are hell to time, and meteorites dropping from the sky you have to memorize, and ugh. I'm sick of it. But it's the last level until I'm 100% done and I'm not backing down

There, beat it. Fuck this game.

Just kidding, I liked it.

Fantastic game. I would like to revisit it. :)
