Suggestion: if anyone without a Wii U really wants to check out Miiverse, someone with a Wii U can make them a temp account. Of course it won't transfer to their own Wii Us in the future, but you could use it to sign into this for the interim.

Makes sense not to post from other devices, avoid people who make accounts on friends' systems from posting bs or spamming images so large they will crash WiiU/3DS.

I've been able to login to my account (UK here) and comment on posts, mainly those on my activity feed just now. Works really well, you're limited to commenting and browsing so no new posts via the web which is a bummer but I suppose makes sense.
