It's essentially tower defense. You play the hero as enemies come in from the sides to kill the witch. Combat is Ys–like. As you kill enemies, you collect drops of XP and Money which you use to level up and enhance your equipment. You can collect blood to give to the witch that lets her cast magic.

Music is actually pretty great. If I were to assign a numerical score, I'd give it a 6/10. I put about 5 hours in and have completed it, I've maxed out my character as well.

Honestly, Mega Man 2 is the best place to start. It has an easy setting (called "Normal") which is perfect for beginners and it is, really, the best of the bunch too.

MM4 is actually the perfect place to start, well, besides 1.

2 has difficult areas, doesn't save etanks after continuing and even on easy is generally harder than 4-6.

4 to 6 have much harder Wily castles and even when you know a robot master's weakness, it still takes quite a few shots compared to 2's "two or three" shots.

Also the whole game isn't balanced around that stupid charged shot addition.

I like Crimson Shroud, but Jesus, those battles are way too long. I feel like I can't just pick it up and play it for a few minutes. I have to commit time to it.

I cleaned out my DSi fridge (so long, X-Scape!) and downloaded Snapdots today, after learning in another thread here that it's actually a reskinned version of Guru Logi Champ. Holy shit, THANK YOU to whomever it was that pointed that out! This is one of the most downright addictive puzzle games I've played! It's a must buy for anyone who's into puzzle games.

I seriously can't understand why any developer would put the whole damn intro in a demo. Holy shit, it's unbereable having to scroll through endless conversations and unskippable cutscenes just for ten minutes of gameplay. And yes, I'm looking at you, Epic Mickey and Pokémon Mistery Dungeon.

Where is Harvest Moon GBC? It was supposed to be out in April and that was the last thursday of April. 3DS VC keeps on disappointing :( It's out in Europe already so there is no emulation problems.

Apparently Crazy Construction is good!

Crazy Construction does what it sets out to do and little else, sticking to an inventive plan that works. With a relatively low investment of time and money, this absurd puzzle game is worth seeking out if an unconventional puzzle fix is what you’re after. Keeping you entertained for more than an hour at a time is another matter, but the quality of each minute may be higher than you expect. Besides, someone has to build that tower of dreams in the name of justice, even if it is constructed with half-eaten chocolate bars and nondescript action figures.

Yup. Turned me off both games. I just wanted a taste of the new Mystery Dungeon :(

Mario's Super Picross (Nintendo, €7.99 / £5.49) — We've become largely accustomed to playing Picross on the go, so this is a relatively rare home console version from the Super NES. There's little to say apart from the fact that it's a well executed version of the game, as you fill out pictures on a grid by following the numbered cues; certainly one for fans of the genre to strongly consider. This is the Japanese version of the game.

Donkey Kong Jr. (Nintendo, €4.99 / £3.49) — Rather like Ice Climbers, this harks back to arcade-style origins, in this case with single screen action puzzle solving. A notable twist is that Mario is the villain in this game, and in short bursts can be fun, but up against some of its rivals it can feel like a clunky, flawed experience. This is the 60Hz US version of the game.

Excitebike (Nintendo, €4.99 / £3.49) — This bike racer has seen recent life as a free 3D Classic, but it arrives on Wii U in its original NES glory. It's simple but iconic racing fare with a modest number of tracks, but the track editor should give it some extra life. This is the 60Hz US version of the game.

Punch Out!! (Nintendo, €4.99 / £3.49) — This one has already been in the Famicom Anniversary celebrations at €0.30 / £0.30 for a limited period. If you did miss out this is your second chance, albeit at a much higher price, to pick up one of the true iconic classics of the NES library. F-Zero (Nintendo, €7.99 / £5.49) — Another title that's been available at a bargain price until recently, this is one of the finest futuristic racer you'll find, and still stands up today.
