Come on guys, they're not that similar. Give me their names and a day, and I could tell them apart
please don't make me do that

It's like they model themselves after that Girls Generation singer(s).

On a hindsight, they do look slightly different. I guess the makeup makes them rather hard to distinguish.

Looking at the more candid group shot of them, it is really obvious that makeup and photoshop is guilty here. And these kind of portrait shots are photoshopped a lot, even for regular people. I can only imagine it'd be more severe for pageant entrants. But yeah, they look totally different. That photo should be edited into the OP.

So... do we have more pics of pink pants girl?

Damn, not a single one of them is natural? Are there even any Korean women that have that facial structure through natural means? They all look beautiful, nonetheless.

What in the name of all that holy is that for?

I just do mine with finger (my eye lids aren't always symmetrically folded) and water (or saliva). Then again, I'm not asian asian XD

Here's a question:

Someone who isn't as entrenched in their ways of widespread adoption of plastic surgery, would you be comfortable procreating with any of these women in the fear that your kid may not resemble either you or your wife?

My question is not to look down upon the practice of plastic surgery rather people's perception about genes when it comes to natural look. Currently, we generally don't choose our mates based on their or their families' medical history that's beneath the surface. But since this is look altering procedure, depending upon the extent of it, would you go forth and have kids?

Congratulations, you really deserve it!
I live in an area with a high Korean population, and the girls wear hot pants year round, regardless of what the weather is like. Is that considered the height of fashion or something? (not that I'm complaining)

I'm gonna have that done to my eyes, they're too pretty to not be fully open like an innocent kitten.

Edit: Apparently I already have double eyelids, after looking in the mirror. It took me 27 years to ever realize or pay attention to this. themoreyouknow

so after viewing this thread from a pc (vs on a phone earlier), lol @ the ppl saying these contestants look exactly the same. no way! I can differentiate most of them but maybe because I'm Asian..

I did notice all of these girls have big eyes and fair skin. is this the result of ALL contestants having similar features or a particular look that the judges sought in the preliminary rounds??

My wife uses eyelid tape sometimes. Mostly because one of her eyelids has a fold and the other doesn't, so it's not symmetric unless she uses the tape.

Same with mine! Never even noticed until I showed her this gif and she pointed out how one of her eyes doesn't fold. Been with her 15 years and never noticed...

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
They all start to look like Harisu.

So South Korea is essentially a cultist culture that idolizes this one woman, and sacrifices up unto her all their virgins (and non virgins) onto her altar so that they may all be reborn as her huh.

...because of plastic surgery.

I found this on reddit and it shows the contestants for Miss Korea 2013. They all have had surgery and the result is pretty unsettling.

As a university professor teaching in Korea for a few years, I have to say all these women look different from each other to my eyes. And the majority of the people in here sound racist as fuck!! "All ethnic group look the same" racist!!

Isn't it already confirmed that those girls look the same because of the makeup?

There is a pic of those girls with no makeups and they don't even look remotely same.

While there are differences in appearance, they are rather homogenized in their looks. This image is quite the talk of the Korean community around here, too.

Even my gf, who's Korean (from Seoul) thinks most of them look pretty much the same.

It isn't racist to point out how similar people can look if they all use plastic surgery to achieve the same look.

And by "they all" I mean the contestants in the OP, not all Koreans.

Holy shiiiit. I don't think anyone scrolled down to why you posted that link.

Plastic surgery is a hot topic at the moment in China. A recent advertisement for a Hong Kong plastic surgery clinic has triggered a hot debate in the country. The ad shows a family photo with a beautiful couple surrounded by three children who are, well, ugly ducklings.

The photo caption reads, “The only thing you have to worry about after plastic surgery is explaining it to your children,” E-Today reports.

amazing. That was actually the worth fake inspirational poster ever, because all it did was sum up the ad. On a side note that man looks badass. Like he is in a Korean version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Except the adopted some random kids.

But even with plastic surgery they don't look the same? Makeup and being of a similar age, with a similar pose for the photo are where the similarities begin and end.

It's like saying all black soccer players look the same, they don't, they're similar because they are a similar age, similar build because of the sport , and usually have similar crazy haircuts because of lack of fashion sense.
