Can I just say that any time Melchiah posts in either this or the Cool Images thread, he always brings the sauce. Always the most cool/disturbing stuff. Best/worst poster, keep it up!

Does anyone have the creepy image of a pic that was 15 statements that were seemingly unrelated, but if you looked closer you would realize that the statements are very related and very morbid.

Currygan

at last, for christ's sake
I remember seeing a gif in which some doctor squeezed what looked like semen out of a newborn armless thing with a human face. It was most disturbing and wanted to find the source, but can't for the life of me find that gif anymore

Some grotesque & NSFW imagery inside:

The Living Dead Aghori Monks

CVLT Nation is a place where people fascinated with the imagery of death and destruction can come to listen to music, see art and film and find clothing that exalts these things. But how many of us would choose a path in life solely dedicated to death, where we live, breathe and taste, literally, the stench of rotting and burning human flesh? The Aghori monks of India and Nepal spend their lives proving to Shiva, the god of death and transformation, that they are his true disciples by living at Hindu cremation grounds, bathing in the ashes of human remains, inflicting torture upon themselves to prove their immunity from pain – like wrapping one’s penis and scrotum around a sword (below); I would love to see Varg try that – and eating rotting human flesh. The initiates of the Aghori eat and drink solely from a human skull plucked from the remains left at their home. They eat rotting food and garbage, drink animal piss, all to show the complete acceptance of all that is considered terrible in this world, to blur the lines between good and evil, pure and impure. These dichotomies do not exist to the Aghori; they know that without one another, neither would exist, and they embrace their place in society as feared and disgusting to the average person. This lifestyle makes what we do here look like a bunch of pansy shit, to be perfectly honest. Yeah, I wear my heart on my sleeve, sometimes literally, when it comes to metal, and people in my community think me and Sean look kind of freaky, but I don’t think I could take it as far as these guys do. Admiring post-mortem photography is one thing, getting hungry looking at it is another. But there is something beautiful about these men and women who paint their faces with blood and ash and wear their dreadlocks long and proud. After the jump, watch a short documentary about the Aghori and check out some amazing photos of this 1000-year-old Hindu sect.

Ahhh the Creepy Image thread...

Funny how it only gets bumped really late at night! It's 4AM over here! =D

By the way, that cool GIF is from a fairly new movie. I think it can be considered a spoiler.

That shit is fucking crazy. For some reason the gloves got me the most. Just knowing he had to sit down and take the time to skin, cut and then sew human flesh blows my mind.

His family was contacting him through the grave. His mother telling Tatsuya's brother to contact him means he's next to die.

His mother knew about the murders and was disposing of the bodies herself.

The prize money is the $50 dollars; the narrator is stuck in a box.

This one was hard. The missing chick was on top of the elevator.

Uh, this one was weird. I think maybe.. his family has gone nuts? They're living off of salt and tap water so I doubt they can afford a cellphone and TV.

The kid calls it Final Fantasy 1 instead of just Final Fantasy, which means he knew there'd be sequels, which means he can tell the future.

Recycled bag is a baby corpse. Bleugh.

Great job on these! I really love reading stuff like this because it helps me improve my reading comprehension. The ones above is what I was iffy on.
First one, I figured he did in his own brother because the calls stopped immediately after that. See that the brother was at least dead for a month and there still were no calls in May before June except on the first. So there's 2 months worth of no calls and one is when he was alive. But yes, the parents probably were calling him too since he wasn't that surprised by the recording.

Second, I didn't catch that, the mom was disposing them. I just figured he was crazy until he was with the only person that could be legitimate. Your explanation is better. :D

Third, box as in a room? Maybe. But yeah, the old man got away with the money. I didn't see the creepy factor in this until you said this. So its plausible.

Your elevator explanation was pretty good. I racked my brain for a bit lol, it doesn't help that MGS's Octacon/5 invisible people scenario was messing with my head lol.

The fifth one is already had been posted in this thread earlier and someone said that the man had murdered his family and had been lying about their status. He's the one living off of their savings.

Good catch with the 1. I didn't see that.

Recycled corpse is too disturbing for me to conclude and him being frozen possibly make me think she had murdered the man to keep her secret. Arg to possibly contribute more to the bag she's making.

The Cryptarch's Bane
Good job, bigevilturtle.

- There's another possibility for this one.
Since the guy knows when the passengers are going to die, he might murder them himself in order to "fulfill the prophecy". If he doesn't, he might die with them in a trainwreck.
He's not going to murder them...
The guy goes about his day, seeing when people will die. If someone would die soon, he would know because their looks and death age seemed to match. When he enters the train, he is horrified because everyone seems to match their death age. The train is gonna crash.
More specifically,
he got on the train and was horrified because everyone appeared roughly to be their death age and that made him very uneasy. This would be a remarkable coincidence because seeing a bunch of people all at their death age in the same place, and very unsettling, but they'd all still theoretically have some amount of time between then and their next birthday before dying. But he turns white when he learns that the 50-year-old is about to turn 51 at midnight, because now he knows he's about to die too.

The train will crash within the next 4 minutes and 59 seconds.

Third, box as in a room? Maybe. But yeah, the old man got away with the money. I didn't see the creepy factor in this until you said this. So its plausible.
I think
the dude trapped him in a box right next to the prize money- keeping his end of the bargain. But they're impossible to open by hand and all the tools are on the outside. Everybody would pay the $50...

Your elevator explanation was pretty good. I racked my brain for a bit lol, it doesn't help that MGS's Octacon/5 invisible people scenario was messing with my head lol.
With that one, I don't think it should have said "9 adults." I don't think
on top of the elevator is the right answer. There were 10 people in the elevator at the beginning of the story. The girl getting on should have made 11, but... didn't.
Recycled corpse is too disturbing for me to conclude and him being frozen possibly make me think she had murdered the man to keep her secret. Arg to possibly contribute more to the bag she's making.
Unfortunately,
he's spot on with that one. Think about it... "It takes a lot of work to make. Time-consuming, too." :-[

Also,
I'm a courier, and sometimes my job takes me into bad parts of town. One day, I was delivering a package to this crappy old apartment building in a bad area of Tokyo. It was hot and i was feeling lazy, so I decided to take the elevator. I pushed the open button and the doors opened immediately. But as soon as they did, this woman ran out screaming with this crazy look on her face. She ran out of the building before I could say a word.
Who knows what THAT was about. Maybe it was some yakuza thing? Like thy were whoring her out or something? Who knows that goes on in a run down old hellhole like this.
I looked inside the elevator, just to check for scary murderers. Nope, nothing. Oh well.
I get inside and hit the button for my floor.
Yeeeep that dude is trapped now.

Most of the answers offered for the rest were pretty darn good but a few are still totally unsolved to my satisfaction, which is bugging me:

The one with the answering machine messages:
First one, I figured he did in his own brother because the calls stopped immediately after that. See that the brother was at least dead for a month and there still were no calls in May before June except on the first. So there's 2 months worth of no calls and one is when he was alive. Gah. I'm really not getting this one. I think
calling from the afterlife seems likely but I'm definitely not getting something. Why did the first message cut off? What are the dates telling us?
The fifth one is already had been posted in this thread earlier and someone said that the man had murdered his family and had been lying about their status. He's the one living off of their savings.
I really don't get that one. I wish I could get a good, full answer for it. You can't live for 6 months on salt and tap water obviously. Even if he killed them who were the other two? Bleh.
Two years ago, a good friend of mine was riding his motorcycle, and he crashed into a tree and died. It was really sudden. The day after the funeral, five of us went to his place and sorted through his stuff. This guy loved taking pictures, and he had tons of photos of the campus, the local parts, landscapes, that sort of thing. There was one that was kind of weird though. It was a photo of a bathroom mirror. Just a straight on shot of a full body mirror, reflecting back on an empty bathroom.
Um what? Okay, so you can't get a picture of a full body mirror showing an empty room... what does that tell us? Are any of the other details relevant? Bah!

Ah, Joel-Peter Witkin, my favorite photographer/artist.

They used one of his works for the hospital scene in Jacob's Ladder.

Most of his works are NSFW, so google him if you're interested.

That is AMAZING.

So many great images in this thread; I especially loved the Aghori monks.
