I am like level 1/22 right now, so it's really interesting to see how little damage he is taking with even just level 6 blue. Every hit is a significant percent of my health and he can just run up and spam so easily haha

edit: BUY SOUL SACRIFICE

It's the best 6/10 game you'll ever play.

So I was convinced that the MGS 2 : HD standalone version was the vita one. And I bought it fast, was clicking without looking...

Turns out I bought a PS3 only version.... Any chances I can get a cancel on this purchase from PSN? I have not tried to do this so I was wondering what are my chances. Anyone here has tried to cancel a purchase?

I didn't take a single hit the first time I did that mission. It was kind of frustrating to see his character just absorb every attack, although I guess it's difficult to play and talk at the same time.

Edit: But then again, I was able to freeze the boss less than a minute into the mission and summon golem immediately. >.>

Worth it for single player alone? I've wanted to try MH for the longest time now, but no online is keeping me from trying it. Not sure if single player is interesting enough.
I think the main 'draw' to this game is fighting heaps of monsters some epic bosses I'm guessing and loot (leveling?) with a light strategic method of combat due to stamina. So single player would still be pretty bloody epic I'm guessing.

Maybe someone else could please step in?

Again complaints about repetitious missions in Soul Sacrifice. I guess I can see that, but it is not much different to me than fighting a million battles in other RPGs to level up where all I am doing is mashing X to get through the Turn Based menus. lol

The amount of time you replay those missions is totally on you. I feel like if you wanted to you could move through the story campaign without replaying a single mission.

We I just sent an email. See what they do if they even respond, I'm not keeping my hopes up. The area code for the support phone they have in the web page doesn't even exist here in Mexico....

I imagine the reason many people find it tedious is that they don't know how/that you can counter. You're not meant to spam!

Yup. I'd actually really like to read a review of <insert MMO name here> and see it be criticised for having to redo the same fights over and over.

Soul Sacrifice is repetitive in the sense that the gameplay is just fighting a bunch of monsters in a closed arena and nothing else. Apart from tweaking your loadouts that's literally the only thing you do in the game. That may be fine to you guys but to some of us that's not enough varied gameplay content to stay interested, hence why it's being called a repetitive game.

The varied gameplay is how you take down a boss. They are all different fights amonst them since they have various abilites.
Don't get me started on the metagame of building a class with the perfect sigils and spell lineup. There is plenty of game here. (with EVEN MORE DLC on the way)

Either way I feel as if the game was bigger in scope, It wouldve gotten ragged on in a "The game is too expansive for a handheld" kind of way. the game plays focused and quick to the point for short burts of handheld gameplay and now the game is "repetitive"

Everyone has the right to like what they like, but base it off fact and be informed. Not because you read something on the internet

Newsflash: Pretty much every game is repetitive if you don't enjoy it. FPS, TPS, Puzzle, Platformer, Action, Sports, etc. Yes, some games have more varied structures than others, but you can boil just about any game down to a series of basic statements that make it repetitive.

It's all about whether or not the core gameplay is fun to someone. The people who find Soul Sacrifice repetitive? It's probably just not a game they found to be fun -- they didn't enjoy crafting the spells or getting a better score on the bosses.

I'm just sayin... ;)

A bit off topic, but I have been experiencing some weird issues with my 60gb ps3 freezing and turning off during gameplay. Played full frontal assault and the system froze on me once and rebooted once. I thought the system was just dying on me, but I went into safe mode and did a file system restore, which doesn't delete any of my files, and I have been playing just fine for the past hour. Whew. Crisis averted.

184 Games Played :pS3 (143) - PS Vita (38)

4719 Trophies

you do not need to keep track of anything. That dirty old bastard called the Internet does all the dirty work for you..!

Blimey. Either that site is well behind or I haven't synced the trophies on my Vita for ages. Probably the latter.

I need to buy Farming Simulator. I have it on iPhone already, but Dat OLED makes for better looking crops. Honest.

it's definitely out of date. my profile says updated 3 weeks ago but I've had all the trophies in Super Stardust Delta for months now

Could be said for nearly all fighters 'its one person vs another' on a stage.

Not every ones cup o tea.. Selecting epic or small quests to your liking/mood and instant action isn't exactly a bad thing on a portable though.

Question: if my wife wanted to play my Vita too but using her PSN account, how hard is it to switch back and forth between accounts? Is it a matter of just switching a memory card or is there more involved?

Edit: nvm, reading the OT now, just saw it on there. :X

Well, soul sacrifice is essentially a coop fighting game, in sine sense. But you are perfectly correct .

if you've got PS+ make sure you've got the saves all uploaded. my 60gb was doing weird things like that for months and then died (YLOD) one day while I was playing Dyad.

Yea, I got my saves uploaded. But really, it makes sense that the problem in this case is the use since i stream videos for about an hour every day without any issues. Hope it will last me a couple more years .

I played the demo. Not sure exactly what I said was incorrect.

Anyway no need to get upset over this, I wasn't dissing the game or anything, just explaining why it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Oh,I didn't enjoy crafting too much and don't care about better scores...think I'm gonna have to give this a pass, maybe.

My problem isn't so much that I didn't like Soul Sacrifice, but rather that it was positioned as a title that would have mass appeal. A "system seller", so to speak. Perhaps that was only the internets making it so and not Sony's doing. The game might be perfectly fine for what it is.

I don't think Sony placed like that. At least not in the west. They hardly even marketed it

Slight disparity there.

Regardless of whether you end up liking the game or not based on how much enjoyment you get out of it, I'm not sure why you have a 'problem' with the game based on your perception of the way its' been marketed, or talked about, here on GAF. I'm not even sure I necessarily agree the game is being pushed as a system seller, to be honest. It feels like the game has been dropped in a pretty big gap of games coming out to maximize its' exposure, and amongst the core Vita audience, it seems to be being appreciated since its' something new, and exclusive to the system. Not sure I agree it's being sold particularly aggressively. It'll be interesting to see how it sells in the end.

Ok guys sorry to shit up the thread but I'm getting desperate.. I posted this over at the LittleBigPlanet Vita OT in the community section, but that is where threads get sent to die :( I can't think of any other threads to possibly put this in and I'm not gonna make a thread for this lol

So recently on my trophy hunting OCD stumble through my vita catalogue I noticed the absurd '50 unique plays' trophy on a created level and I am (hopefully) enlisting you guys to help me out..

Scratch that, I am on my knees begging for 15 more plays..

Seriously, I try to platinum every game that I truly enjoy and if I can't get the platinum on this, my brain tells me to sell my vita (I KNOW, that's irrational and I wouldn't actually do it, but MY OCD IS QUITE CONVINCING)

Anyways, guys if you can and it's not too much trouble, I would truly appreciate it if you could queue up for my level and play it whenever you get a chance

http://vita.lbp.me/v/c76q-

<3 Thanks in advance to any kind soul that is willing to help out

Anyone else get an e-mail offer about upgrading their 3 month PS+ into a full year one and only pay the difference? Thought it was a great offer and jumped on it in an instant!

Just bought LBPv yesterday. I'll definitely help you out, Vitabro.

Looking for titles?

May 23 - Valhalla Knights 3
May 30 - Haiyore! Nyaruko-san Nafushigatai Game no Yona Mono

Also, for US releases, I don't think there are any confirmed dates, but Velocity Ultra, Quell Memento, Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery, and Hotline Miami are all aiming for May releases.
