SCEE exec teases "an amazing big title coming to Vita" [Not an indie title]

Yknow, I surely appreciate this guys notice of the thread and the harsh cynicism many of us are showing towards their claims. That being said, it makes my cynicism even deeper and more jaded and makes me feel as if this will somehow be even more disappointing than I originally anticipated. The idea that GT Vita could be the big reveal.

Oh wow, shocker. You got a first party developer to somehow make a Vita game? Wooow. What a get, what a scoop! I'm fucking STOKED over here for the game I assumed was coming eventually regardless of the platforms viability!
Lol?

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Hooked... Time... P... It's probably Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix.

These companies, bethesda and zenimax have horrible relationships with sony. That is not happening.

Good Art™
My wish list!

Dissidia 3 (Use teams and FFXIII strategy system)
Type_02
Chrono Trigger 2 (FFXII engine, cell shaded)
FF Tactics 2
Persona V
Disgaea 5
Symphony of the Night 2

More realistically:
GTAV spin off
Uncharted piss shower 2
Gravity Daze 2
Gran Turismo

YAWN

Ask me which Shakespeare novel is best
Dissidia 3
FFV Remake
FFVI Remake

Any would make me buy a Vita in a heartbeat.

I loved vita resistance and I would love a real CoD on the system. Strange thing is that I hated blackOps Vita (some people say it's better than resistance).

Source please?

So far: Zenimax has not provided one game to PS+ in europe or the US. Has not developed or announced a title in-development for Vita. Has spent over a year patching half-assed save game issues in their largest title(skyrim).

Relations are not tidy and sweet. Bethesda also never released a title on PSP. Despite announcing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Travels for the device.

Sooooo, i guess it's not impossible. But extremely unlikely considering this jagged history.

The way they're hyping this and reacting to their email news, it's got to be something from a 3rd party developer we haven't heard much about since PSV was released.

Only a new GTA or MGS (MGA???) game really fit the bill here.

Hope: new GTA or MGS
Wild wish: New MGA game, new RE (lol), Yakuza Vita
Realistic expectation: Type-0 HD, Dissidea 3, new tekken-ish fighter

I would love to be wrong, but I fully expect this to be something as flaccid as Call of Duty Declassified 2 and a western release for a Hatsune Miku game.

As garbage as COD vita was, I think that if they made a second one it would be made by a more talented team with more time, so I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly.

Ok I am now in hype mode and none of the games I will list out will come.

Elder Scrolls, Persona 5, Final Fantasy.

I will be more than satisfied if its GR2 or Uncharted:GA 2

Would go berserk if its a new and worth the wait IP.

Admins need to process his account already

I don't know why, it's not like he'll share more information here than on his Twitter...

But if you really think so, you can message one of the Admins. They've expedited someone's approval process for similar reasons before.

Was this really something that was proposed before? Anyone have a link to the source?

I wonder how much of that is caused by the double whammy of Microsoft's patching policy + Microsoft's multiplat content parity policy, and how much actually by BethSoft's obvious inherent lack of technical skill.
At least they've absorbed a good engine maker now. Question whether or not they leverage that for ES remains open.

So what we know
-Addictive, can play for hours a day
-Third party
-Not Indie

I am going to guess that it is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Stories. Shouldn't be hard to make. They can just reuse all the assets from the original. Also Rockstar has experience in making for making GTA on similar architecture as GTA3 and Vice City have released on iOS and Android before. Why do I think it is San Andreas Stories, because this is the cheapest and quickest way to get a big 3rd party exclusive on to the Vita (reusing assets, reusing engone from iOS/Android GTA's). GTA also fits the description of addictive and can play for hours wrecking havoc in the sandbox. Also with the release of GTA5, this is a good time to announce this as well. Another game it could be is Type 0 HD. Basically I am going to keep my expectations low, I beleive no 3rd party is going to release a big game exclusively on the Vita as it doesnt make financial sense. So games were they can reuse assets, HD ports and etc is where it makes sense (GTA San Andreas Stories, Final Fantasy Type 0 HD).

I could deal with this policy, i really want fftype 0 and other japanese only psp games, i want a funny gta too(no gta4 for me thanks), but i have to say that gtasa has really bad graphics, i could accept it only if remade like ffx/ffx-2 hd or even better they could use downgraded gta4 or gta5 assets.

I would play it on vita even with those graphics, i'm still undecided if it's a good or a bad thing though.
I want fallout!

I don't even give a shit about graphics. If it would not be half-assed (which is of course extremely unlikely) then it would be worth it and more.

I'd be shocked if it's not another AC,comes out this year and is something which interests me like Demon's Souls 2 or something.

Grand Theft Auto is a logical choice. I'll wait and see.
