'Chill bros' has not been confirmed as a PS3 exclusive yet. Chill bros can still come out on PS4.
I'm guessing it's a "launch window" release like MotorStorm was on PS3.
But if DC was actually a November game then it'd suffer next to GT6 wouldn't it?

Sony should just kill the PS3 support? Sounds dumb to me. At this point PS3 and PS4 are two systems that SCE as a publisher needs to support. I bet this is something they planned to have happen. Almost becoming a multiplatform publisher with the ability to make profits through current gen and next gen systems.
I believe there won't be none fellow GAFfer.

Oh I know, but the GT brand is one of Sonys strongest games, I still get a little shocked when I remember as a series it has sold more than Zelda.
Sure, but Evo have said they are trying to get it out for launch, which is going to slam into the middle of GT6 advertising no doubt.

GT5 used mostly PS2 assets... they aren't ready to make a game for PS4.

If there is an enhanced PS4 version, it'll come next year, like Spring/Summer time.
Launch this year on PS3. PS4 "Plus" version next year. Give Drive Club a clear run at launch adopters. Give GT fans a clean upgrade path to PS4 in a timely manner.

I really hope they are working on a Vita version. That would be incredible.
It isn't about making it a PS3 game, it is about making it a PS3 game that will launch against their new platform where you can't play the game, and a new driving IP on this new platform.
If it wasn't Sony's biggest and best selling series they had it wouldn't be a problem, I doubt that many would care if this was a Motostorm or similar title coming out instead.
Worse to me is that they are going to end up taking most of the generation before we get a proper next-gen Gran Turismo, which is lame.
Of course they would. If it's exactly the same product, but it's just runs and looks better? Then it's better. The fact it's not as much better as is technically possible is irrelevant.

Drive Club looks nice but even if I still end up getting a PS4 at launch I'll be playing GT6, not Drive Club.

Maybe PS3 version at retail along with a PS4 up-port downloadable from PSN. Or perhaps they'll have Gaikai PS3 game streaming at PS4 launch. Not that anyone wants to play hours of GT6 like that.
Or maybe GT6 on PS3 and GT6: Full HD Edition on PS4.
Or maybe GT6 on PS3 and GT6: Full HD Edition on PS4.
None of the above is happening.

Is not a smart thing to do when you want people to buy your console. Drive Club isn't gonna do that....

If GT6 is coming out this year at all, I dont see it being PS3 exclusive in 2013. That just too stupid. Maybe they will announce now, and then show PS4 version at E3?

The person who made the decision to make this game a PS3 exclusive needs to be fired. Seriously, how come they decided to go against putting their best-selling franchise on their shiny new system ? They would want that promotion.
GAF would be out for PD's blood.
I don't think SCEJ is concerned about market share as much as SCEA or SCEE is.
NO really, if that is what you meant, PS3 in japan remains the current top selling console and imagine how slow people will support PS4 when wiiU hasn't shot up in awhile.
Don't forget PS3 may likely receive a port of a FF game sometime next year, they would be making money from this, which may go towards a proper Gran Turismo for PS4 or other investments in the future.
I think the only untimely matter was that Polyphony couldn't release this game earlier in 2012. It took them this long to shit out another GT title. Unacceptable but I am more curious to how people will receive it.

Some twitter account is claiming that it's also a Vita game. So there's that. Posting a lot of info along with it. Apparently you can build tracks through GPS data. Assuming it's real.

That's what happens when you let the brand management in the hands of a developer. Drive Club should have wear the GT name, Drive Club should have used PD cars, GT6 should have been a PS4, etc...
GT6 on PS3 AND PS4 means EVEN MORE people can play it!

If the leak is real then GT6 is still the inconsistent package GT5 was, but with extras added on top of it. I don't know if I want to see those Ps2 assets on Ps4. It would make the game look extra lazy. I already found them to be atrocious on Ps3.
The problem is that if this is a Ps3 release they can't come up with a sequel that has less to offer. With a next-gen step that would've been no real issue (such as GT3 vs GT2).
What if Drive Club isn't good though? There is the risk of brand damage.
