What games would you like to see on a portable system?

3DS Ports / Remakes:

Bomberman 64
Majora's Mask
Donkey Kong 64
Star Fox Adventures
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes
GoldenEye Wii
Metroid Other M

Vita Ports / Remakes

Metropolismania 1
Left 4 Dead 2
Psi-Ops
GoldenEye: Reloaded
Sonic Generations
Driver San Francisco

I'm more of a portable person now, so all those games would be great to me.

I want all of 'em on Vita. Every. Single. One.

If I could only choose one though, it'd be Saints Row The Third.

Edit: maybe Fallout 3, actually. I can't choose. Gimme both.

Skullgirls on Vita.

Well, any 2D fighting game really. Being able to sit in training mode while on the go would be pretty awesome.

Majora's Mask using the OOT 3D assets, and a faithful port of SNES DKC2.

That's all I want. A port of Mario 64 with analogue support on the 3DS would be superb too.

This, plus:

Alien Homind, would be great with the vita screen and d-pad, from the Castle Crasher guys.

A Reckless Disregard For Gravity (or the sequel actually). [but on vita so I can look around properly and have more pc-like control]

Minecraft
Sonic Generations PC/PS360 port
Batman (proper like AC)/Infamous/SR4 Vita
Dogfighting game (planes)
Dyad, Bionic Commando Rearmed

Those games especially but most games really. Of course a new upgraded GTA too.

Definitely.

Alien Hominid was released for GBA wasn't it?

2+2=5

The Amiga Brotherhood
(for vita)
Open world rpgs, fallout and might & magic vi in particular
open world games
strategy games, heroes of might & magic 3, xcom and others
managerial games like (good)sim city
space sims
Chaos legion :(
amiga collection :(
...
Long story short i would play everything on a handheld, but let's say that i would like more "mouse oriented" games on vita.

Nothing. Ever. If it were up to me portables wouldn't exist.

woah wait what

And your reasoning is? The whole point of handhelds is that you can use them wherever you want. Its something that PC and console games absolutely cannot offer, which results in handhelds existing in the first place!

In terms of games out now I'd really like a port of Super Meat Boy for the Vita. It'd fit perfectly.

For future releases I'd like a Vita port of Persona 5 because P4G is incredible on the Vita.

In my experience, the genres that usually work the best on portables are RPGs, strategy games, and most recently fighting games. This is excluding genres that are typical staples of older consoles. I don't really know about 3D shooters yet, even on Vita.

Vita:
XCOM
Borderlands
Unity of Command
Valkyria Chronicles
Soul Calibur
Elder Scrolls
Fallout (in the style of 3 and New Vegas)
(A handful of iOS games have convinced me Bethesda-style games can work on portables)
Diablo
Torchlight
Cave Story
Edge
Deus Ex (maybe)
FTL
La-Mulana
Civ V
Dragon Age (isometric)

iOS:
FTL
Unity of Command
Diablo
Torchlight
Elder Scrolls (see above)
Fallout (see above, though you could go either isometric or 3D with this one)
Civ V (the simple graphics mode)
Dragon Age (isometric)

3DS:
2D Metroid
Bomberman
La-Mulana
Diablo
Torchlight
Valkyria Chronicles

The one thing that really has me pissed off right now is that no one has made a definitive portable loot-based action RPG. All I want is for someone to make a good Diablo clone for iOS or Vita or something. I don't know why Sony didn't work a Vita version of Diablo III into the deal.

Also, I really do think a deep, open-world first person RPG could work on today's handhelds. I've played games on my iPhone that do a shockingly good job of making the mechanics of old school first person RPGs work on a touch screen. The only real concession is that on iOS the graphics end up looking like Elder Scrolls Daggerfall. With that touch screen used for things like inventory management, I think you really could get games like this to work surprisingly well on the Vita. It couldn't be like a port of Skyrim though. It'd have to be an original game.

Civ V, while great, is impossible. Game barely handles what it can throw at you with high-end PC processors. For it to be on Vita it would have to be dumbed down to all hell.

Right answer is 2.5D Metroid on 3DS.

I'd be happy with a revamped version of Civ Rev.

Every previous gen console game.

For that matter, they should just make official previous gen console emulation machines as portables.

They Bleed Pixels, Super Meat Boy, Dustforce, Splosion Man ....

Alien Homind, would be great with the vita screen and d-pad, from the Castle Crasher guys.

-Sin and Punishment*
-Kirby Epic Yarn
-Rabbids Go Home*

(*Particularly these ones)

Square should release a new FF Tactics / Tactics Ogre on handhelds every 2-3 years. Or weeks. Can't believe nothing new seems to be coming after Tactics Ogre LUCT.

Fatal Frame-styled camera based survival horror games, either a new series entirely or a new spinoff series. Spirit Camera had some of the right ideas, but I want it closer to Fatal Frame than Spirit Camera was.

If somebody like Gust or even Tri-Ace went full Vita, I wouldn't complain. Western RPGs, I want on my PC, but JRPGs and the Vita seem like a perfect match.

I want more top-down shooters in the vein of the Killzone Liberation, Dead Nation or Alien Breed. Omega Force's Alien Shooter, Zombie shooter, ect., things like that.

I would love a portable Xenoblade successor on the 3DS. The zillions of quests would make for great bite size play sessions.

Give it a year, and your wish about indies will be true.

As for me:

-The Witcher
-Souls
-COD (console style)
-Civilization
-Anything from Paradox's grand strategy team
-Batman, Arkham style
-Bioshock
-Fallout/Metro
-TF2
-Battlefront
-Saints Row

Hell, really most any WRPG, (non-animu waifu) JRPG, strategy game, or action game would be great by me. Still eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Ratchet games getting ported.
