September is a stupid date for the US but August is kind of better for the game than July I'd think. They probably want Pikmin 3 to draw in people and increase the console base first before a new IP get their attention.

That and new IP in July don't usually do well since the period is not a good one.

This is just such a disaster, and if they seriously withheld these games to beef up their fall lineup due to delays on their other planned titles, then the system really is doomed.

Under what circumstances would W101 be a monster hit? It's a niche, Japan-centric game destined to flop. It's only glimmer of hope is receiving an E rating so they can market the game to kids. If you're going to release any game near GTA5, this would be the one.

Perhaps you are correct, I guess I was expecting a better sales performance out of Metal Gear Rising, Vanquish and Bayonetta. All really good games that never garnered the sales they deserved.

They were never going to be launch titles, and Nintendo knew it. This was just Nintendo doing what they always do. Suggesting a long list of games will be launch titles, and then slowly delaying some of them throughout the first year of the console.

Man, this whole WiiU disaster reminds me of that one fateful morning during puberty when I discovered the One Hideous Zit that had festered on my face over night. It was gargantuan. Situated in a way I could not conceal. Painful to the touch, but I could not help but pick at it. That's the WiiU situation for me as a Nintendo fan.
