I'm quite curious as to where all this salt everyone keeps referring to is coming from.
That's good to hear. Exclusives are what should sell the console the most.
But it didn't happen with the PS4 and the Wii U either. Nothing as amazing as you claim it to be.

You need stop taking these Sony has no money threads as fact. I understand but you would be quite wrong. They have made a decision and a smart one at that not to rely on third parties but make an effort to produce quality and variety from their own studios.
Getting a lvl here and there is one thing but hey E3 will be here and then 'winters coming' so we shall see.

I'm wondering if the Fable series can be saved. After Journey and that Heroes game I'm having serious doubts that its going to be good again.

I love a joke just as much as the next guy but the 3rd or 4th time a "Kinect, lol" or "Ads, lol" joke comes up in the same page it ceases to be funny. I have no problem with the joking or mocking or FUDding or whatever but come up with some new material, it's all so predictable and lame. What about "RROD, lol" jokes? Or "Subsciption, lol". There are plenty of other avenues to attack, guys.

Pretty much the same thing with 343 hinting at Halo 5 for NextBox.

I think it's more for the reason Pachter said. The sheer amount of money a console holder gets over the life of a console from the early adopters is staggering. That's why what's happening to Nintendo with the Wii U right now is so disastrous for them. Sony and Microsoft both desperately want the bulk of the early adopters in the US and Europe. I look forward to seeing how each attempts to lure me.

And it's always the juniors.
At this point people are deciding on which consoles to purchase for next-gen, so they're subconsciously (or maybe not) justifying their potential purchase, leading to these excessively negative remarks on anything related to Microsoft.
Microsoft had more of an advantage of building exclusives when they were the only console on the market. The PS3's own design issues gave them an even bigger footing for comfort and precedence in the marketplace. It's not hard to secure exclusives when your direct competition is late to the party and has lots of tape to get through.
It's going to be interesting to see what the design philosophies are for Microsoft's new system. I have not heard a single claim that has made me even slightly interested in the platform. Everything has sounded like a nightmare. I hope the reveal addresses these, because that's the only way I'd feel comfortable in ever supporting the platform.

I expect them to have more to surprise with than Sony's overrated show in February, anyway. Then again, that's the benefit of going second.

There were new IPs announced at E3 2010 MS conference? I remember the 360 Slim, Halo Reach, Gears 3, Black Ops Kinect, and some entertainment services.
I guess that is true.

Yep, 360 dominated up until the end of 2008. Sony was pretty pathetic back then yet some people here celebrate the PS3 as if it never did anything wrong. I have a feeling that these people are going to feel really silly when MS unveils what they have in store.

I think it's the majority of MS's output since it's release. However, it was an attempt to widen the audience, so I don't see why they'd do it right out the gate this time. They'll focus on the 'core' for a year or two.
