Wait, it's just a presentation for the press or will it be a broadcasted Direct?
I have never played Pokemon games so I can't be sure about this.
Maybe someone can answer this.
Why in the world has Nintendo not developed a proper Pokemon game for their consoles? I would imagine it would be huge, even if some of the Pokemon craziness has died down. A huge RPG with online capability would make a killing no?
It seems like for their consoles they make side Pokemon games, but nothing similar to the main game.
Watch them slap a hefty embargo on this so we don't find anything out until after launch. D:
This is sounding more and more like a sick twisted social experiment to see how badly they can torture the fans. :-\This is possible. They're not allowing photos or video recording. We'll find out on the day

Basically, the developers design it to be a handheld franchise, a game that you take with you where you go to battle and trade. Many aspects of the game are hinged on local multiplayer due to this. While some aspects can be done online, the developers feel it'd lose the entire ethos of Pokémon to make it on a home console
Do you remember the Smash Bros reveal? Similar to that. I'm sure people will be liveblogging it.Wait, it's just a presentation for the press or will it be a broadcasted Direct?
How do you spend 90 minutes on Pokemon??? No offense to the franchise, but how much meaningful information can there be that warrants that long of a presentation?

It seems like some of the information in this thread might be partially true, especially with the Pokemon Direct. What do you guys think?

I'm being generous with highlight key changes. Nintendo has done 90 minute E3 roundtables in the past and they've usually talked about 5 titles as well as hardware and services for the future. I'm sure they can draw out the conference long enough to make it that long but this is something they wanted to spend the money and time on. At an E3 where there will be the next 3D Mario platformer, 2 Zelda titles, Mario Kart, SSB, 2 yoshi titles, and whatever other titles/ third party partnerships it seems odd they would dedicate the entire 90 minutes to Pokemon when in the past they've usually had the roundtables dedicated to multiple key titles. Why are people still asking how they can spend 90 minutes?
- Introduction to franchise 10 minutes
- Trailer 2 minutes
- Highlight some key changes 15-20 minutes
- Question & Answer 30 minutes
I could easily do an interview with these two men for 90 minutes. You think a room full of people won't have enough questions for it?

That's why people are puzzled, it either means they will talk about more than X/Y or they have a ton of content/changes they want to relay and discuss.
Someone send Kat Bailey plz.I hope there's some actual journalists that have some Pokemon knowledge present at the roundtable, because like 95% of the gaming press I know has no idea what the average Pokemon fan would want to know about X and Y.
Pokémon news? E3?!? 90 MINUTES?!?
I'm calling it, you can play Pokémon X and Y on your Wii U. There will be a feature that will allow you to stream the game onto the Wii U with the Gamepad as your touch screen.
Someone send Kat Bailey plz.
So I guess after this we'll be seeing PokéBOMB V: The Final Frontier!
Stadium U have to be in the works.

Either that or PokéBOMB V: The Phantom Game.
Does that Pokedex even contain all 650 pokemon? Also they'd have to add like 100+ from gen VI. Suddenly it makes a lot of sense that Pokemon console games are few and far between.Out by Christmas in Japan and April for the US.
Remember that they never released one for the 5th Gen, but they have all those shiny new Pokedex 3D models.
