Quantum Break screenshots (Remedy, Xbox One) and info

I was really impressed with the visuals of Quantum Theory during the conference. Most interesting game easily. That said I don't know why they chose to release the most boring screenshots of the reveal.

Confirmed by Sam Lake AT E3.

This is easily the most impressive game shown at the conference. Only one of interest to me, at that. But i have a bad feeling this game and or forza 5 won't render at full 1080p, which would really suck. The sooner games render natively on my TV the better. Would love to be wrong though!

Did I hear someone say it's running on a devkit, so what the hell was killzone 2 running on then, certainly not the ps4.

Trailer was at 1080p, screens were at 1080p. Maybe even 4K Forza. OOHHHHHHH

I hope this game is more than a bad copy.

A bad copy of what?

I hope they confirm the resolution output of some of their games. I really want some 1080p fest on my tv.

Both this and Forza 5 was footage of the games running on the One.

Killzone 2 reveal trailer was pre-rendered. Do you mean Killzone 4? I believe Killzone 4 was running on the PS4 at the reveal.

A shame they don't get the freedom of development from Microsoft like for example Quantic Dream get's it from Sony. Because everybody knows they wanted to make Alan Wake 2, and everybody want's to play it instead of this confusing looking project.

They always could have went to someone else if they really wanted to make Alan Wake 2.

If they have a clear vision throughout the entire development, it would be much faster than 5 years. They pretty much lost 2 years or something on Alan Wake because they originally built it as an open-world.

Now I don't know if that was intentional by you or not ^^

Does anyone feel that MS will be pushing this game hard? It is interesting they revealed the title at the event where time was precious and it was nestled between the juggernauts that are EA Sport and COD?

I hope so. Showing a beloved franchise and one new IP at the reveal gives me hope for a strong games push. It's all but confirmed for E3 so let's hope Microsoft gives Remedy the marketing support they need this time.

It had live action TV parts, perhaps they hoped people didn't realise it was a game?

They ditched the open world very early on. It took 5 years because they made their own engine and being the size that they are (which is relatively small), that on top of the actual game development took longer than usual. Quantum Break should take less time because they now have their toolset sorted and can concentrate on making games (apart from engine upgrades etc).

I'm not convinced by the Xbox One in the slightest but I do have faith in Remedy, big fan of their work.

I think they have also expanded slightly.

Yeah, this is pretty annoying. Sucker Punch did the same with their Second Son shots.

I wanted Alan Wake 2 but this looks interesting.

I have faith. These guys made Max Payne and Alan Wake. I'd be shocked if its no good.

Microsoft is notorious for showing doctored photos or prerender crap that isn't how the game ends up looking in the end or just CGI shots. They did this alot with Halo in the past so I take the pics they show with a grain ofsalt,.

And yes I know this is remedy but Microsoft tends to spread money around to make things look better than what they are regardless of the devs in charge of giving out into.

You realize these are from the trailer right? You also realize that MS is far from the only ones who do this or were you perhaps not around for E3 2005?

Remedy, I'm mailing you a cake. There is a file in the cake. Use the file to slip your shackles and I will meet you in the sewers.

Everything is going to be okay.

Obviously not everyone wants to play it or Alan Wake would have sold more copies.

Look I love AW and hope that one day Remedy gets to make its sequel but let's be real here the reason it didn't get a greenlight from MS is because it sold like crap for the first part of it's life and only picked up after price drops and bundles. It's a business you invest in what you think will be more profitable and at the moment MS believe that this new game has more upside.

Unfortunately for Alan Wake, Rockstar moved the Red Dead Redemption release date to the same one as AW at the last minute. The game was also pirated over 1.2 million times on the 360.

AW is just a victim of circumstance imo.

I'm hoping we'll see some new gameplay/info at E3.. Better yet, they could release a trailer/info prior to E3..

I'm not familiar with Alan Wake, but did Remedy Entertainment release many details/trailers shortly after they announced Alan Wake? Did they release much info in regards to Alan Wake at all? Or are they similar to Rockstar where they like to keep people in the dark and go crazy..?

We don't even know what genre it is. My guess would be a TPS based on those screenshots, but I wouldn't rule out a horror.
