something that i realized now...there is no "casual online" play for me anymore. me and my waifu dont play much online, only 3-4 times a year, but this won't be either anymore. no playing with my nephew or friends. 60 bucks a year aint worth for some casual multiplayer.
yeah, this for me too. I have PS+ until september 2014 and I dont' know if that means I'll just get driveclub for free or maybe I have to buy another year? But one benefit of free online on PS3 was because I only play online a little.
No way I'd pay for PS+ just for that, but I find the PS3 and vita value with free games, and online saves worth it.
I guess thats the point really - you put together a package of measures, in the aim that across most people, each person will find something of value that justifies the purchase.
For me it is the free games (and that gives me access to online occasionally).
And I do sometimes trade in games, and the savings I make (versus being forced to keep hold of them) should more than cover the yearly price.
I'm mostly concerned about what this means for accounts. I have my own master account on the PS3 which is PS+, but my kids have separate accounts for their saves etc. They can play my PS+ games, but they don't get online save uploading. I'd want clarification that they will be able to play online - needing multiple accounts wouldn't be justifiable for me.
