I gotta repost this. Its just too awesome. So much stuff going on in the background like the 2 dudes to the left doing a high five, the mech walking around to the right. The gorgeous lighting on the ceiling and even the red lights on the ground reflecting off the main character.

You know what happend after Luigis Manion 2 for 3DS got announced? The prices for used copies of Luigis Manions 1 (Gamecube) went up like hell! Like 10 before - then 25 to 30 after.
Anyone know if the prices for Xenoblade Wii (since it's "X"'s predecessor) went up as well? Is Xenoblade still one of the hardest games to get on Wii?
Edit: seems like it's used ~ 100 and new ~ 200... damn.

Thats not really a fair comment to make. FFXV plays entirely different than FFXIII. Both games look great and seem to be pushing JRPGS forward.yeah, X will propably play better than FF XV based on Xenoblade and FF XIII
Its probably even worse if you live in the States or Canada.

Have they said if this will have a single player campaign yet? I know they have said it will have some sort of online play, but I want to know if it will have a story, and its not just monster hunting.

I don't think you have to worry. In fact, there's more reason for X to be story driven than an MMO like game.
Also, there are definitely four stable characters you can use shown in these two trailers.
The cutscenes also scream of a story driven plot as well.
FFXV probably plays like KH1,2 and X probably plays like Xenoblade. That's not to say which is better though. I like both to be honest. Button mashing is quite fun for some reason, but throwing out a ton of skills to topple them and such is also fun.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beginning of this trailer, with the music, camera cuts, and everything. I really hope there's a full fledged Xeno-like story in here. The cinematic direction was incredible in Xenoblade (although somewhat of a step down from Xenosaga III, imo). My expectations are pretty high for this.

Well, so much for this game being any good. Those two moons are clearly too big to be that close to each other without decimating the planet. Just so unrealistic.

The game definitely has online multiplayer in some form. The chat window in the first trailer makes that pretty clear.

Are you guys talking about the guy in the back, running from left to center? I think he's leading/guiding a mech to come forward (like these signal guys on an aircraft ship).

eh, I'm rather fond of the name, XenoZwei.
Some of Xenoblade's armor was downright goofy and impractical, sure, but they're going for a grounded, sci-fi look in X, as opposed to Xenoblade where the armor designs were very fantastical.
So X doesn't shit on jack shit objectively.
You can make attractive armor that's goofy and impractical.
Yes, whatever, but my point was that aesthetically and thematically, the two games are aiming for very different things.

Now this I agree with. The fauna art in X is phenomenal.
The monster design is also way better...I'd argue these are the best monster designs I've seen in any game.
Assuming the moons are the same distance and/or size and/or density.
They got the Xenosaga artist back. Though I almost think the armor designs are based on a rejected concept Soraya Saga did for Monolith many years ago: Titus 12.
So much gender confusion in that video. I mean, you can immediately tell that pigtails girl is, well, a girl... And that's not a diplodocus, you amateurs; it's modeled after an amphicoelias (and is even named as such, I believe).
Holy shit, these guys must have never played Xenoblade. During the transformation they pick up an item on the ground and it comes up on the system log (it's clearly a ****berry item in Japanese, but even if you can't read moonspeak you should realize the basic system is similar at this point and they're picking up items) and they start yakking about how it's probably the mech's weapon for 30seconds. If it wasn't IGN they might actually feel embarrassed about it.
