This is my first Animal Crossing, and I was genuinely shocked (and extremely pleased) to hear that there are over 300 different villagers in this game. Man. No wonder I never recognize other villagers in other towns.

Animal Crossing goes deep. The part about "not running" is great. Cannot wait for the next iteration of AC for Wii U.

Today I got the final piece of the exterior deco in... at least I think so anyway. Suits perfectly for a martial artist with all the exquisite bamboo detailing. Unfortunately the house itself cannot be made of wood lest a big bad wolf comes.
I've also finally managed to pay off the bridge after for so long (I know, I know). It's a suspension bridge and will be perfect just beside my humble abode. Of course, the villagers hardly contributed any bells and why am I running the town out of my own pocket?
However my interiors are still a mess and no one is allowed inside lest they die of horror. Shouldn't have expanded that fast because I don't have things to fill it with... (Nook is always one sly raccoon) but I also do have stuffs that wouldn't fit in with the aesthetic at all. So off the Re-tail you go!
Re-tail is now retailing four pieces of the astro set (plus the wallpaper), and the exorbitant prices will surely make suckers out of some people.
But with all the good news a bad one inevitably a bad one will come. Leonardo whom I despised as an rough guy tainting the serenity of my town have decided to leave. He ended being a good rival so with respect, I have to let him go and travel to other towns to expand his horizons. I'll miss you, brozinsky.
Still, there's five more days until he leaves and I have plenty of pitfall seeds to spare...
How is someone moving out of your town already? Can neighbors move out before you get 10 of them?

I had similar problems until I turned off my PC and deactivated Wifi on my phone. If anything is downloading anywhere in your house, stop it. I hosted 3 guests yesterday for ages and it held up nicely. Even on 1.8Mb broadband.
Yeah the animals really don't grasp the concept of gift. As we speak there's a certain kitchen corner being sold at Re-Tail which I do remember sending as a gift.
Kinda depends when you go, too. I was in NYC around Christmas time a couple years ago and Nintendo World was absolutely bustling. Filled up all my StreetPass slots super quick.

Ah. Just reset my router, we'll see if that does anything. If not, I may have to tinker. Nobody's downloading per say, me and my brother are both using laptops but that's never stopped it before.
EDIT: Nope. Can't be arsed to change my router settings, but it's worked fine until today! Going to try rebooting my 3DS itself, don't think I've turned it off since this morning.

I really hope my connection will work again today, this game is so much less fun without the online.
Yikes. So far I've had one disconnect, but it's been smooth sailing otherwise. I even spent a good half hour or so overseas at Chopper's town/island yesterday, and it went without a hitch.

Even better when a villager asks for a certain item, you visit Re-Tail and buy the item that villager had put up for sale, then give it to them.
They happily accept it and still reward you.

Hope Nintendo put out some new Nintendo-themed items directly to coincide with new game releases. A Pokeball for X/Y, a "Mural Link" Wallpaper for LttP2, etc.

From what we understand, only NTSC-U systems can get the Bestbuy items and only NTSC-J can get the 7SPOT items without trading.
Exactly, but there has to be name to use as SSID to get the items on a PAL-system, right? There are various retailers across Europe who are giving out the items.
