Asia PSN news minute - news from the region no one cares about 
Our PS+ games have updated, this month we get for free: Rayman Origins, Ragnarok Odyssey, Open Me, Ninja Gaiden Sigma+, Carnage Heart EXA (PSP)
Uncharted, Shinobido 2 and Unit 13 have been cycled out.
Tekken 6 (PSP), Virtua Tennis, orgarhythm and Ridge Racer are still available.

Might be a decent chance of getting Sony to do something for it as I can see them letting it slide otherwise. And I think it really would have to be Sony backed to sort out the whole extra buttons thing.

Guacamelee is one of those rare games that I would find a way of paying the developer for if I couldn't buy it because of PS+ silliness. Enjoy.

Also I think Kass did a stream of it yesterday? I saw him post a screenshot of it on his twitter - it's free so why not? It's got some IAP purchases but it seems pretty unobtrusive, it's hidden behind a menu.
Ah nice thanks, I don't see it anywhere else. It's a Vita on the PS4 pad right? So perfect.
I can manage without, thanks to my other grips, but that REALLY would be something. (provided they were analogue r2/l2)

People rave over the new translation, mostly and the game has improvements on the controls by offering a dedicated jump button which a lot of people complained about previously. I fail to see how the game can be WORSE on Vita when the original game was on the Wii.
I posted some J&D impressions back when it came out.
Camera controls are handled with the right analog stick.
The controls felt no different to me than the PS2, and PS3 versions (I own both). Jak & Daxter is a difficult series of games, and the controls have never been, in my opinion, as tight as Ratchet or Sly (although J&D one is good). The framerate is low, but not Ratchet: FFA low. It's more than playable. The resolution on the Vita screen looks fine, but it definitely isn't sharp, like MGS HD.
I've never played Jak 2, so I've been playing that one. It's hard as hell, but I'm enjoying myself.
it's Famitsu, most likely Marvelous AQL paycheck was smaller this time.

Finally beat Retro City Rampage. Jesus, I think I broke my vitas directional pad on that last boss.
The world was graphically pleasing and some of the early missions were alright but the game quickly becomes frustrating and tedious. The references become too much and it was almost like the game was taunting me when it brought out that
section. Christ.
I'm going to pop in Lumines later on (10 bucks on amazon f yeah) and get my first ever experience with the series.

hasn't asia's ps+ historically been the worst of any region, by far? i seem to remember lots of people complaining about it.
although, that could just be the typical whining, like how everyone in north america bitches about european ps+ being better, while everyone in europe bitches about north american ps+ being better.
Don't buy gun commando. You'll have more fun holding a squirt gun in front of your face and running around in circles. And that's not a hyperbole.
Our recent sales have been 50% off Ubisoft games and 75% off FIFA 13. A while back we had minor discounts on all PSP and PS1 Final Fantasy titles. Further back we had a Disgaea series discount.
Not bad, but not amazing.
If I had to complain it would be for the lack of indie releases and no PSM. The Asia team seems to be listening though as we just recently got Thomas Was Alone.

its a game that is a few years old that really didnt add anything to the game. a few more playable characters, at that price, is a bit absurd.
i wouldn't dream of paying what they want right now for the game and i liked it on the Wii a lot.

Price shouldn't factor into review -- everyone has their own price points -- review scores should be based on gameplay/content/etc. Game is still a reasonable length? Check. Game has the same or better translation/graphics? Check. The game has the same or improved controls? Check. Ok, let's dock it 2 points.
Either it's a good game or it's not. Unless something became worse in the new version, there is no reason it should score lower than the previous version on a different console.

If mario 64 was released today on the vita, i wouldn't expect it to get the same scores it did when it came out that long ago.

6 years after the release of Shadow of the Colossus and 10 years after the release of ICO, the HD collection was released. Same games, same content. Upgraded graphics + trophies.
ICO has a metacritic of 90.
Shadow of the Colossus has a metacritic of 91.
The collection has a metacritic of 92.
Muramasa is 3-4 years old, not 6-10. The practice of knocking a game for being a port (and a good one at that, for the most part, as I understand it) is bullshit.
It just reinforces that most "critics" are worthless. Take Game Informer:

Ports are not remakes or sequels, thus design does not really come into play.
Nobody expected the HD port of DMC2 to be a fantastic game suddenly. They knew that all the same issues that were there in the original release would still be there.

Has always been ideal for mobile games for me, would usually prefer to play a different game on Vita I think, great if you don't have a nice modern phone though - assuming it's like $4
I think my brain refused to accept this the first few times I glanced over it that I ignored it.

Yeah, I did that! I actually wrote a really long tweet (with TwitLonger) to Yosp months back and I included that mockup I made, but he never responded. :-( I think it would be really perfect. Same build materials and style as the DS4. Who knows. Maybe we will see something like that.

i would expect more from a game that was originally released 3-4 years ago. i would also hold that game to a higher standard given the lag between releases. you're saying since one was given a specific score, the newer version, while offering basically nothing more, should at least get the same score if not better.
I think that's crazy talk :/
Activision support doesn't come cheap.
I'm shocked something actually topped the PS3 platinum branding and its awful colour scheme.
