Hmm might pick this up for my Windows 8 tablet when gamepad gets supported.

Will be the first Halo game I've bought in like a decade.

Post impressions folks... If it's great, I might as well buy it, otherwise I'm waiting for the XBLA release.

yupp.

Remember when the whole idea of Xbox Live on Win 8 and Win Phone 8 was going to be syncing with games on Xbox. Remember that microsoft?

Bullshit.

I've got a two year old Acer Iconia Tab W500 running Windows 8.1
I doubt this will play on it- but if it does, I'll post about it here.

Controller support not shipping with the game on release day is the whole point. They want you to play with the touch controls first. Just like the game releasing only on Win8 is purposeful. You may not like it, but that is their plan.

Holding back controller support for the only version that's getting it and doesn't really support touch controls doesn't make sense in terms of pushing touch controls.

Do you think a large volume of Surface or Win8 tablet owners are the type who are hardcore enough to have controllers kicking around? They were going to play with touch regardless. The .05% of actual enthusiast gamers who own those devices get to try it the way everyone else is going to first. I can only assume it is a example of gaming on the go without the need for a peripheral.

Bah, its their new company philosophy these days: Force people into using their product the only way they want it to be used. Its been working wonderfully for them so far.

If Microsoft wants to fly me to Trinidad, I'll gladly buy Halo Spartan Assault the moment I get off the plane.

Downloading on my phone now. Can't wait. 691MB. I'll also get this for the surface. Did they say if story progression is shared between the two platforms?
Doesn't seem like the exclusivity affects Canadians.

I kind of feel like a douche for complaining that a game release is half an hour late, but I mean, don't specify the game will be available at a specific time if you can't deliver. That shit is annoying, especially for people who are excited for it.

Damn! $40 for 10,000 Halo Credits.
I'm able to purchase whatever that is, but not the actual game yet.
