Both machines will be ok, but what initially seemed to be much better is diluting little by little as more info pops-up.

Then it can't be anything major like not using GDDR5 or having less than 8 GB of RAM. Those would be big deals, not little dilutions.

That statement is weird, anyway. What other news has come out that reveals the PS4 not being as powerful as Sony has claimed?

Can you really have "drama" over hardware memory? It's a bit too technical to create widespread drama. Compared to Xbone and Self Publishing, I mean the premise behind "Self Publishing" is in the name, it's not hard to get drama circulating about that.

I'm thinking about what has happened recently that could lead to mindblowing news. I'm drawing a blank to be honest. Pretty boring state of affairs right now with SCE. I think there will be disappointed people if you're expecting some huge negative thing out of this. I'd take the words of Arnold the Terminator and relax.

Something important about the performance of Ram on the PS4 this late, just before release when we've heard nothing but gushing tales from PS4 devs.

I don't buy it. It's going to nothing.

Hopefully not a downgrade or production issues. That would look pretty bad at this point, especially since they've gotten so much right. If it's a downgrade I will likely cancel my pre-order.

Why? I don't get this train of thought.

Even IF, by some act of God, this was a downgrade, why would that affect your purchase?

Its a games console for gods sake. Even 4GB of RAM is a GIANT leap from current gen.

He doesn't seem to be hinting at a downgrade at all. The way those tweets look like, the guy is hinting at some sort of bottleneck based on previously unknown specifications.

Hold me, gaf :\

It seems, from those tweets, that Eurogamer found something about the specs that made it seem like the difference between XB1 and PS4 wasn't quite as great as we first thought. Then they asked Sony, and they actually commented (unlike usual), so they're waiting for the right time to bring the info out.

Can someone explain me why Eurogamer knows about this Sony statement and not other media ?

Also maybe the guy is on "attention whore" mode. Do not see Sony making radical changes at this time.

I'm suspecting they were preparing some article about the PS4, send it to Sony for approval, and are waiting for them to come back.

I'm really not expecting major with the specs that late, nor coming from eurogamer spain.

Just a tip: this guy is only a translator, this info is probably comming from Eurogamer UK and tomorrow we will see the article published in all the sites of the Eurogamer network (this includes Eurogamer Spain).

This is exactly how I think this will develop.

I still think this is either an OS memory thing (which would be weird for Sony to comment on, like someone said) or they're just now picking up on the Onion/20GB/s thing from last week.

Why would they do that?

thanks for this. reading a few pages back I started to hyperventilate not knowing what was going on; this makes it clear.

How so? Outside the memory mention in the past tweet doesn't even imply is a power related issue.

"Both Machines will be alright, but what initially seemed much better(that "what initially seemed much better" is refering to the gap of RAM power Xbox One<PS4, "GDDR5 to GDDR3") it ain't anymore as more info is coming out."

That's how Im reading it anyway since its all about the RAM or what the first tweet was about "PS4 RAM drama".

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
I find Spanish news to have the most unreliable fake nonsense amongst pretty much most nations.

We'll see I guess. Probably just someone that doesnt really understand specs and they went off on a total loop.

I'd feel a little better about this if Sony had FINAL FANTASY XV Exclusive right now but I'll take it

I'm seriously leaning towards DF publishing an article tomorrow which says "PS4 bandwidth downgraded to 156GB/s and split memory pooolz!" because Sony will confirm the 20GB/s bandwidth for the CPU.

Hardly earth shattering news, and Leadbetter will get it wrong, either by incompetence or through malice, but he will get it wrong.

The guy that posted that tweet probably doesn't know shit about hardware anyway. Sony probably wants to make a statement so that there is no misunderstanding.
