Rumor (USA): Black 3DS XL, Pokemon 3DS Bundles, Wii U + WW HD bundle, 12GB PS3 $200

Well, I am kinda hoping the wii u becomes the gamecube 2.0.
Now what I mean by that is that the GC had a very high attachment rate averaging 10.5 per console in NA.
The GC 1st Party and Third Party were better than the Wii's
I hope (and believe) that hardware sales in the end will be between GC and wii numbers, I highly doubt it will get anywhere near Wii numbers, but I think it could do a bit better than the GC and if it has a high attachment rate, Nintendo is making money.

My 3DS XL has a massive diagonal scratch across the screen and casing. Its body is ready (to be replaced).
I didn't forgot about them, just didn't know about them. But those are more exceptions than not, right? I usually see them doing some kind of design for their bundles.
that's my expectation. $300 for it would be an instabuy.
Hopefully we get some details soon. Would love to buy this for my nieces come fall/winter time.
The headset was removed from that bundle, it's not included anymore. I believe it was supposed to be PS3 + GTAV + headset for $299, now it's just the PS3 and GTA V for $269. The headset is sold separately at $179, Gamestop exclusive.

that's when the sale begins. if it turns out black is real stores should have stock on sunday which is when Nintendo blows its product onto the consumer masses.

PS3 has a lot more mandatory installs though. It would get pretty annoying managing space on just 12 GB.

For some reason people are under the impression that ps3 hard drives automatically fill themselves up with 100's of GBs of data and there is nothing you can do about it. It's quite bizarre.
I will take that Wii U bundle for sure If real and we all know more then likey that its real. The only question I have is it possible that there maybe more than one bundle b/c we also have mario 3d world and donkey kong coming around the same time so why wouldnt nintendo offer three different bundle types depending on game that you would be most interested in getting.

12GB is fine for quite a lot of people. Madden/CoD/GTA/Netflix will work with no need for extra management.

It is built as an entry console. Blu-ray players are really cheap now.
A WiiU bundle that includes WW HD will be bring in all those Nintendo fans who have been on the fence thus far and no one else.
When will Nintendo learn that their hardcore fan base are not enough to givve this console a Gamecube sized install base never mind Wii sized.

You need the games to sell the console. Nintendo droughts have been a thing since the NES. It's not like it just all of a sudden happened.

You still need to pay for the caddy separately... But it's not so expensive, so ok. I call it a small "upgrade tax".
If all you need is a Netflix box, get an Apple TV or Roku for $100.

I've been waiting to upgrade my 3DS to an XL but Red/Blue = no like and it's taken forever to get BLACK XL, c'mon NINTENDO do it now.

None of these titles helped the Gamecube though. Nintendo's brands are well known but are they compelling enough to the consumer that's trying to decide whether to buy a PS4, Xbone or a WiiU?
I realise you're outraged by such a comparison but given how much more expensive the WiiU is compared to the 360 and PS3 (with infinity larger game libraries) it just doesn't seem a fair comparison at all.
Why would a multi format title make a difference to a new system? You're mistaking the overall apathy people have towards the WiiU as a product as a patience for games.
The very concept behind the WiiU isn't exciting people the way the Wii did. I just don't see how anyone can get round that fact. Never mind about upcoming titles. The WiiU has a value associated with it. A price that the public are willing to pay and at the moment it isn't anywhere near that price. What the WiiU needs is a price drop. Not a bundle.

Price drops, as history has shown us, usually only cause a short term increase in sales. The Wii U needs games more than it needs a price drop.

I think what you mean is "none of these titles helped the Gamecube beat PS2" which is completely true, but Gamecube was immensely profitable and had an active userbase, its attach ratio was the highest of the generation. Nintendo made a killing on Gamecube when everyone thought it was proof they'd need to go third party.
Obviously Nintendo would prefer having another Wii to another Gamecube, but they'll be able to chug along.
I was hoping for a $150-180 3DS XL, seems like I have to wait a little while longer.

X360 has had 0GB and 4GB versions its entire lifespan. It sold a plenty. Sony should have done this years ago.

Any HDD. I believe they said PS4 will do this too.
