I'd really love this date, especially as I'm traveling Thanksgiving week and want to be around when Amazon ships my stuff. Was just hoping they don't launch like the 360 did...the stinking week of Thanksgiving.

Like launching first actually matters.......
I was in HMV the other day and i saw AC4 cases that said launching October 21st, i actually think thats where this rumour has come from but it could be the PC and current gen versions launching that date. Like i said in an earlier post, i also saw Watchdogs cases with 'Launching Nov 5th' and that date sounds more plausable.

You sure? Cause official launch dates are 29:th US 1:st of November for EU on AC4 and 19:th/22:nd for Watch_dogs. (for current-gen)
Were there any specifics on the dates, as in which consoles? Were they official cases, or did someone at HMV just write the dates on em?

I don't know about that. Individually, Banderas was pretty good though.
Itwas in the Xbox One/PS4 promotions and it was definately those 2 games, they were the only 2 next gen games that had launch dates, all the others just had 'coming soon'.
its possible that i have the dates slightly worng but i'm sure AC4 was the 21st (it was definately October anyway) and i'm also confident of Watchdogs being Nov 5th, i'm certain of Watchdogs because i remember thinking 'Ah so the same date as COD:Ghosts was rumoured to launch, maybe there is something in that rumour". Ironically the COD case had no date!

This would be incredible if true. Man.. don't want to get my hopes up.
It could be a good way to promote Sony's own lineup for day 1. You buy the console and really want BF4 but you want to play something in the meantime, you may pick up Killzone with the console as well.

10/26 would make sense if they're trying to hit the anniversary of PS2 launch.
Hypemeter rising... Would "confirm" Euro launch date being same if true, oh boy am I setting myself up for disappointment.
Was never going to be packed in, as it's not an official bundle. So if date is true, you'll probably just get BF4 shipped at a later date.
Not sure what this means for people like me, that got the PS4 launch day bundle that has BF4 packed in. Hmm..
What i'm saying is true but its not confirmation of anything, especially with HMV who are pretty useless with this kind of stuff.
Last we heard, Sony wanted a big supply available for walk-ins. Still, I agree on a week or two not being a big game changer all things considered.

Assuming it does release earlier than the dates posted for BF4 and ACIV
2 possibilities
1. ACIV and BF4 release earlier on launch of PS4
2. They ship you BF4 separately when it comes out
Pretty sure it would be 1 though
They mail the games separately if they release later. I think it was done before. It's not an official bundle (as in the game inside the PS4 box), its a store made one where they simply sell/ship things together.

Two years ago. Would anyone here believed that Sony would Launch not only a more powerful system, but one that was cheaper but $100 bucks and launch sooner then Microsoft?

Might be wrong but they said the PS3 was due in the Spring of '06 and that got pushed back to November. What's to keep this from happening again?
