Splinter Cell: Blacklist |OT| Warning: May Contain Trace Amounts Of Stealth

Sorry, I don't mean to interrupt the focus, but I see that Chaos Theory is available in HD on PS3.

Does the game have split-screen co-op like in Blacklist?

Not sure if this means anything, but the Ubisoft guys told me that all versions are the same and have the same content, so buy the version you want. I haven't played it myself, but I figured I'd pass that on.

I for one am happy that more games are doing a mass effect normandy home base style of thing now.

Game seems interesting, but might have to wait for a sale. too much shit on my immediate backlog.

any pc footage/benchmarks etc yet?

Steer well clear of Revision3's review if you don't want a surprisingly fat spoiler shoved down your throat.

I've got a hankering to re-play Chaos Theory before this comes out. What's the best way to play that nowadays? Was the HD PS3 port any good, or am I better off sticking with my Original Xbox version? Wasn't there a 3DS port or something, too?

Haven't personally played it, but having seen and read a lot to do with the 3DS port, it seems like it would be worth avoiding like the plague.

I think the 3DS game was basically a port of the awful awful DS version.

EDIT:
The German voice actor for Sam Fisher did not change.

for those wondering: it is the same voice actor who does Nicholas Cage, and sometimes Vin Diesel (in Riddick for example) or Paul Schulze in 24

No, but the original Chaos theory has.

No, the first level in the video I saw looked like the original chaos theory
The DS version is very offf. (wasn't it a port of a mobile game?)

Aren't the local co-op options missing from the Wii U version?

The HD port of Chaos Theory is actually pretty good, yeah. Pandora on the other hand runs like shit.

55, or something like that.

Ironside's voice would have been perfect for this character, who I'd expect to take a backseat after the events of Conviction. You give Issac Briggs the shot at the big time, and make Fisher a new Lambert.

I suppose that things such as the Splinter Cell movie, set to be starring Sam Fisher, would make something like the above impossible. Better to James Bond him, at the cost of the larger story. Really, they should have just written Conviction out of canon.

Why not have the story line fall where conviction is the last game. Make blacklist a prequel to conviction. Sam ends his career with conviction, write whatever they want in between?

I'm replaying it now on PC with a 360 controller. That's my recommendation. The game holds up surprisingly well at HD resolutions.

PC version seems like it has a lot of work into it and you can find the game pretty easily for 20/25 dollars so I'd go for that version honestly. You'll be getting the best version for quite cheap.

WHAT?

20 TO 25 BUCKS!?!?!?!

Where the hell is it at this price? If this is true, I would jump on it in a split second!!!!! Everyone seems to be selling it for 60 bucks.

PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!

Check ebay for nvidia codes. Not hard to find.

It wasn't. IIRC, Chaos Theory for the 3DS is an extremely stripped down version of the PS2 game -- which is still absolutely nothing to write home about.

The DS game itself is based on the N-Gage game, which for what it was, was one of the finer games available on the platform. Obviously couldn't cut it on the DS, though.

Hopefully there are keys left on eBay by Monday! I won't mind paying full price but I can't say no to 25$.

If not I'll probably be getting it on Wii U

Origin is far better than Uplay, IMO. Both aren't Steam but I'd rather take Origin with it's attempt at things than Uplay.

UPlay isn't even a "thing". It's really just a launcher with a reward/redeem system and takes very minimal resources. I don't know, it's very easy for me to ignore.

This person speaks the truth. I recently installed Uplay to play Blood Dragon (got a code from a gaffer) and it was fucking terrible. Manual installation/uninstallation, weird account issues, and just frustrating overall.
