What was the previous size/number of boxes in Black/White 2? Really hoping they don't remove boxes to force people into using the Bank.

I was always comfortable with the given boxes in Silver/Sapphire/Diamond.

24 boxes
720 pokemon

24 boxes were given to you in B/W, I'm sure they'll be keeping that in the game. No reason to switch it to the Bank. The Bank is there for when you reach that excess amount of Pokemon (filling up all 24 or more boxes).

Just a reminder; it's likely these Pokemon will also probably have stat boosts upon Mega-evolution. I doubt Gamefreak would waste a mega-evolution on a Pokemon as popular as Blastoise just to make Water pulse hit harder.
Yeah I was thinking Venusaur as a full attacker than a wall. Wallsaur with TF is great.

Still I remain with my point for Zard vs 9tails. Ninetails is actually far more useful because it can learn moves beyond Fire type for coverage and has a bulky defense. I can't say the same for glass cannon zard.
Zard has better defense (you're thinking special defense) and Fighting type resist. 4x Rock weakness means nothing outside of Stealth Rox because both will be dying in one hit from any rock attack anyway.

Charizard has a waaaaaaaay better move pool in terms of coverage (Dragon Pulse is a big one) and it learns basically all the same moves Ninetales uses besides Hypnosis.

Charging an annual fee for a pokemon bank is disgusting.
No reason we cant have unlimited additional storage via SD card is this day and age.

Huh, I always thought Ninetales tend to last longer.

Also I looked again, and Ninetales has better type coverage still with being able to learn Ghost, Dark and Psychic. Zard kinda sucks in that it has mixed physical and special.

Where does that December 25th release date come from?

Cloud Storage that allows you to have it at any time regardless of SD card or just SD card.

I think the cloud storage is brilliant, and it's only like $4.

Mega Venasaur is lame as fuck. Didn't notice the difference from it's normal form at first. I kinda dig mega blastoise.

Finally Blastoise you will be mine! That Mega-Charizard looks pretty cool though (not a big fan of normal Charizard).

Edit: Damn those consoles are looking slick, too bad I all ready have a standard red.

The difference between the two is that Zard can actually do damage with its non-Fire moves. >_>

Also, some Ninetales started running Sunny Day to get around Ninetales' high speed. This is a better solution IMO - since you have to transform the first time you activate Drought it's the Sunny Day without wasting a turn and with a higher sp. attack stat.

Are there any concrete details on how we trigger the mega evolutions? All they've said that I've seen so far just makes it sound random. I know about the mega stone, but can we control when a Pokemon goes mega?

There's a button you push when you're choosing your attacks, which Mega Evolves that Pokemon before their attack.

Yeah. People just overreact as always.

Pretty sure the main issue is that transfer, which was free and didn't require Internet, is now behind paywall and requires Internet. Extra storage was already at a cost for DS versions because you had to pay the Wii game.

As someone who doesn't mess with Evs or competitive I don't see the point if transferring but five bucks a year is a good deal if you want it.

But it's forced, there is no reason to nto at leats give the option to store locally as well.

Ninetales' best attacks of those types are Extrasensory/Psy-shock, Hex/Ominous Wind (LOL), and Dark Pulse.

STAB Air Slash is a far better special attack than any of Ninetales' Psychic options because the only Poison types worth caring about take SE from Fire. The lack of a Dark or Ghost moves is disappointing, but nobody uses those moves on Ninetales in the first place.

Charizard's move pool also contains Roost, which is very nice.

Wow @ the Mega Starters.

I like how Venusaur now has extra foliage (vines, flowers, etc), like he's become a walking rainforest. Also, Thick Fat halving Fire and Ice damage means two of his main weaknesses have now been nullified.

Charizard looks so sharp and sleek -- they managed to create something truly different without overcomplicating things.

And Blastoise moves his shoulder cannons to his arms and gains a super-cannon on his back, like some kind of walking fortress. Definitely the most striking Mega Evolution.

They al look great, I must say. :)

It's going to be much easier to Catch 'Em All with Pokemon Bank. Do you think they'll be able to add rewards, such as free Pokemon or items, to people who store at least one of every Pokemon?

Hell I don't even plan on using it since it has a free trial and it should be enough to bring my mons to XY.

Seems like neither is gonna be used in combat after all since both die easily, it's just that you are far safer to run Ninetales as lead. But like I said, leading with Charizard is enough to warrant an eyebrow raise.

I still feel like Zard is crap compared to most other starters barring Typhlosion, Samurott and Emboar though.
