Unfortunately the community provided no screenshots for Night Dive to appropriate as their own when they put the games on Steam.

I felt the heat from that burn coming through my computer screen.

Oh my gosh I'm so happy right now! For a while I had been getting 503's on steam's CSS and javascript files on top of being incapable of accessing the community to the point that I couldn't even update my torchlight 2 mods.

Finally today it seems to be working. I don't know if it was the unblock request I sent through my isp or if valve changed something on their end then changed it back but I'm glad to have steam functioning properly again. I was having to do all my steam "work" at work but now I don't have to worry about it!

Not using the steam trading window is the equivalent of going into a crack den and giving them money to invest in government bonds which you hope to claim back in 10 years.

The Devs were lazy with the release of Wizardy on steam that they even used screenshots from the GOG testing.

Night Dive also benefited from using community fixes in SS2 without permission.

And used them incorrectly I might add. The original Steam release was so botched that original creator of the fixes had to step in to correct the mistake.

Damn, so I shouldn't give them my monies? Wanted to get the Wizardry collection.

Wow that's pretty bad. Sadly I have to let them slide a little bit since they did bring us both SS2 and I have no mouth and I must scream. Not to mention they're working on grabbing NOLF and Grim Fandango.

Though hopefully This wizardry incident and SS2 teaches them to not cut corners.

I wish Squenix would get in touch with the person that released the later versions of the Thief/2 engine and use that instead of the old CD version.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.

I wouldn't worry about giving them money. They at least put in the work that got the parties to the table and the games back up for sale.

I just wish they wouldn't switch into BS-PR mode saying things like "we have tech ninjas that spruced the games up," when really, they just used community patches.

I did use the trade window

You made it sound like you got a redeemable game key from your previous post, rather than a giftable Steam copy. Using the trade window and getting nothing back isn't what MRORANGE meant by using the trade window and is basically the same as gifting.

If that's the case we need more info.
As maneil said if that's the case this can actually get fixed.
EDIT: Oh NVM if you gave accepted the trade window with nothing given to you in return.
Assuming the seller promised you a copy steam will refund you if you contact them

It's whatever. I'm not going to worry about it. I'm just not going to do any trading on Steam besides with anyone from GAF from now on

I can't use OS-level sleep as I'm using the PC for other tasks if I'm not gaming, and it's been unreliable enough on my PC to not use.

I could leave games running in the background, but that uses resources.

I'd rather Steam games had an application-level save state to allow quicker continues. I imagine implementation would vary game to game, so Valve could promote it as a feature, like Full controller support, to encourage devs to add it.

wtf is this shit

This is the same thing consoles/handhelds have. You can't use your handheld/console if it's on sleep mode and if you suspend the game, it's still using resources.

Or do you think Sony is awesome and via magic, the game suspends without using resources?

Sleeping Dogs has the worst driving put into an open world game with a decent budget. And the side swipe move is horrible and has no animation. Game as a whole is quite fun though. GTAIV's driving is in another league though, it takes some time to get used to but once you do I feel it's quite enjoyable. Certainly more than the ghost cars of dogs.

It's dark out so Amnesia time!

Yes, it's ridiculous how much love Sleeping Dogs gets. I just couldn't get into it because of that.

It was a nice game but I do think it's overrated on here. There wasn't enough meaningful side content or just things to do in general besides the story missions. I got 100% in the game in less than 20 hours I think.

As for worst driving...that award goes to Just Cause 2. There's a reason why everyone just sticks to planes and the grapple hook/parachutes. Those cars are literally made out of paper and will launch into the air just because you went fast.

Resources that I'm using for other tasks - you know, PC, multitasking, stuff that isn't Steam.

I don't care if the "Sony" is using resources during sleep, I'm not using it.

I really love Sleeping Dogs, but I'm most certainly biased. I love organized crime and asian men so the only way it could be any better for me is if there was more end game content, or a new story.

I assume theres something else going on here and its not a typo or wrong context.

Just redeemed my code with Nvidia and got my code for Batman: Arkham Origins. Game #500. Now I think I need to actually play through Arkham City, had so much fun with SecuROM and GFWL last time.

Universal Access can be found under System Preferences
It got removed from Steam.

So I just got an error when trying to install a game (missing app configuration), and figured restarting Steam might do the trick. Except now Steam won't load, it just hangs on the initial connecting message.

Edit: fixed it

Not much of a chance unless someone picks it up off of Atari's corpse. Vin Diesel is hoping to create more Riddick games, so it is possible.

Better off with the gog version anyways, the Steam version is riddled with DRM.

I'm so confused as to how Amnesia is supposed to look, filters seem to differ based on area but they seem too strong and I'm not sure how exactly gamma balance is wonky. Plus as I've mentioned the game messes with the overlay and makes it look washed out so I'm worried there are issues no matter what.

Anyone interested in buying my second copy of Incognita ? PM me.
This doesn't include the alpha access, only access to the final version.

I got The Basement Collection recently, and I can't figure out how to play Aether. It says to left click and hold to latch on to stuff and then press left and right to swing, but as soon as I press left or right he lets go of the cloud he's holding onto and starts running around the planet.

The driving is really shallow and arcadey but at least the cars don't flip and crash into a wall if you try to go more than 40 mph. My main beef is that you can't turn off the huge red warning when enemies attack you, which makes the combat brain dead easy.
