If the possibility of getting your system banned is always there I don't understand why people just don't disconnect their systems and play. Why risk it.
I just asked that a little while ago and a fellow gaffer tells me you can still get banned once you reconnect on or after release day. I guess they can get you when your achievements/trophies upload or whatever other info your profile sends. As for this dude who leaked all the shit, he's just an idiot.

Not that I don't agree it's bullshit, I still think you'd lose. It's all in the ToS. I didn't read them (I mean who does?) but it's probably all in there. From MS, Rockstar, T2, and whoever else. Like I said earlier I think he should be banned for posting videos and information, not for playing the game early.

I guess. I've never heard stories from the other consoles. It's probably all in the ToS or agreements or whatever the fuck we're forced to accept that I never read. Regardless, I do think it's bullshit.
ToS doesn't mean it will stick. Legally buying a product and playing it only to get banned on a service you pay for is shit.

If I ever got a game early and they banned me, I would take them to court. I'm serious.

I'm not sure how well it would go for you. Early games get tricky because of how you get your hands on them.

The gaffer that got banned over halo reach was going to get unbanned but he didn't have a receipt because the store covered its tracks.

It wasn't even that. Had he not shown his gamertag, he would be fine. It was a combination of breaking Rockstar prerelease policy by showing content online and then showing the gamertag.

He could have maintained his standing on Live and just had the Vines taken down if he wouldn't have shown the gt.

I have trophies unlocked on Skyrim 3 days before released. Never had a problem, granted it's on PS3

That would explain dudes banning

If you die in a mission do you have to start all the way at the beginning. That was the main cause of me quitting GTA IV. However in Red Dead Redemption, you would have several checkpoints in a mission. Hoepfully they adopt that route because losing an hour of my time is too frusterating.

Well if I ever want a game early I'll try and get it for a Sony console then.

Well I'm no legal genius so I really can't say. Maybe. But do we know if this particular guy paid for it? He could work for the store and have stolen it. Maybe he held up the store. Lol. But I have heard these stories before. People's accounts banned for like 999999999 days or something crazy like that.

It's good that the framerate holds up normally driving, but it isn't being stressed whatsoever here. A police chase, explosions, etc. are where that all is.

I'm not sure how it is on PS3 but when you unlock an achievement offline on 360 it doesn't have a date attached to it so you would be okay if you reconnected on release.

Doesn't mean they're not watching you. Lol. But yeah, actually, I just thought of that. When I first got my 360 I didn't have it constantly connected and remembered that with my Halo 3 achievements. Some had dates, some didn't.

I believe in one of the IGN aritcles they said missions will have checkpoints like RDR. Mid-mission checkpoints in GTA were introduced in TBOGT.

Sony definitely bans.

I haven't heard of them banning for playing a game early. Sure they ban for other reasons like harassing people, or such bad behaviors, not screwing up your console though, right? Is his xbox bricked, or can he just not go online?

The same thing could be said for 360 owners. It all depends if a publisher wants to enforce it heavily.

Like I said before, not many games fall into the "ban" category. Heavily anticipated games like COD (its the truth) have no such ban, even when the game revolves around online play.

He might have said triangle out of habit. When telling my friends what to hit on any console I say it using playstation buttons.

The driving video with that is from a different person, that one seems to be PS3. The vines are all 360.

Mainly with CoD titles, but it might also have something to do with them uploading it before release date which is apparently a faux-pas. just not online or anything like that, sadly, unlike PS3, I don't think there's a way to get around it without buying a whole new console.

Says 360 in the video description pretty clearly.

The initial upload was already taken down but it didn't have a description. The one that's still up is a reposting. That said, were going off what the guy says to his friend to determine it's the PS3 version.
