One of the few pleasures left to me in life is reading the Cal football solicitations to donate one of my clients regularly receives.

Today I read one that was a personal plea from Sonny Dykes where he plainly stated that when he was at La. Tech one of his assistants asked him what his dream job was and he replied to that assistant that his dream job wasn't Texas Tech where his father coached, or Texas, or a few other big time programs whose names escape my memory at this particular moment, but Cal. Because Cal was a sleeping giant.

I mostly lurk. CFB-GAF scares the shit out of me.

Also, I just got into CS a few hours ago, let me know if you wanna grab a beer on Northgate tomorrow.

if you ever get scared, just post "napa know how to make wine" or "get your hot kiss ready" or "oregon state stole that from cal tech" or "alabama would win the sec" or "krumpson tigers" and everyone will just start memeing and you can slip away to safety

e: DON'T FORGET "THE kent state university"

Ah, the things you miss on the TV broadcast when you're at the game but find out about in GIFs later. Didn't get to see the already posted Tech fan cussing in the stands and then covering her mouth -

and definitely missed this one of a TCU player running onto the field through Pachall's broken arm -

Also, I know they showed that fox that was on the field on TV, but I think they only caught video of it on the sideline. It actually ran across the field in the middle of a play; the line of scrimmage was around the 25 or so yard line on the north side of the field while that fox ran across the field somewhere near the other 20 yard line. Obviously none of the players or refs even noticed it; I was seated on the 25 on the side of the field the play was on, and we were alerted to the Fox's presence when the crowd on the other end started making a bunch of noise just a second or two before the snap when the fox was already a quarter of the way across the field or so.

Unless you have the LHN, you won't see it this weekend, either.

Cold as ice.

So, I just read Part 4: The Sex of the OKST "scandal", and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to take away from this. Were these Orange Pride girls being paid, cause it seems like they just wanted to have sex with some athletes.

What was interesting about it, I thought, was how there were plenty of athletes willing to say they had sex with Orange Pride girls, but every Orange Pride girl interviewed said, "No, I wouldn't do something like that."

An interesting look at the role sex plays between the genders. Guys have no problem admitting that kind of thing, but a girl would never admit to such a thing.

Apparently UW was going to use Northwestern's facilities for a walkthrough today, but NW backed out at the last second to avoid helping a Pac-12 team playing against a B1G team. They had to do their walkthrough at a municipal park.

Thanks for the extra motivation, I guess :p

The municipal park probably had better facilities. Until the lakeshore athletics center gets built.

Illinois sucks at sports.

RISE & GRIND CFB GAF. Can't wait to see how Ole Miss shits the bed tonight. Ash out, playing days after Mack's panic move to fire the DC, crowd just waiting for the chance to turn on the team, and....Should be entertaining.

Too many people picking Nebraska, nationally televised game, and a ranked opponent? The Nebraska jinx is in. Now I get to watch the soul crushing failure of our defense, numerous turnovers & penalties by our offense, and some mind-boggling special teams flubs. Thanks guys.

It's funny because OSU lost to Texas last year.

We can't all make our OOC schedules full of powerhouse teams like Mississippi State, UTSA and "Lamar".
BYU lost to UVA.

And it isn't our fault Mississippi State blows this year. At least we scheduled a BCS opponent.

I never watch Gameday so I had no idea Finebaum did spots. Can't tell if he is trolling Texas or just playing to the locals

I hate all people that schedule weddings on College Football Saturday... Including my mother's wedding which I am going to today. Sigh.

I have to wear yellow to the Tennessee game... Meaning the Ducks will probably have on their John Deer uniforms. Yugh.

Also go Aggies.

ESPN Game Day now running one of those "adversity" segments (with piano music and all) on coaching Johnny Manziel. Really? He's just a college quarterback with a really big ego. These silly media stories don't help it.

I have 2nd deck, 50 yard line tickets in the student section at Kyle Field today.
Being an Aggie rocks.

I hope we beat Bama ;_;
