I've spent 100s of hours in both IB1 and IB2, I love them to death -- they're repetitive but in an equally addicting way to me. If you're familiar with Infinity Blade, you know some of what to expect here. If IB1 was a tech demo and IB2 was Chair exploring what they could do, then IB3 is the perfection of the formula, both gameplay-wise and graphically.

The basic gameplay is still "Punch Out! with swords" where you fight boss after boss, die, fight more bosses, die, and then eventually "win" but now there's a seemingly fully explorable world to enjoy, an upgradable home base of operations, multiple characters to play ...and a story! While there were indications of a paper thin plot in IB1, which was expanded upon in IB2 (and the novellas) it's much more developed and fleshed out this time around.

If you enjoyed the previous games in the series you'll love this one too. If you absolutely hated the gameplay in the previous ones, this game is probably not for you either.

Game runs flawlessly on an iPhone 5 and iPad 3 from what I've played so far and is gorgeous on both (can't wait to see what a 5S brings).

Have you gotten the Cloud saves to work? I've played about 40 minutes on the iPad-but when I launch on iPhone it wants to start from the beginning.

My phone save didn't show up on my iPad at first, but my iPad save showed up on my phone and after that I got two save slots on each now and progressing in one seems to carry over fine.

Might be some server overload issues today, Apple launch iOS7 and what not. iCloud doesn't seem to work 100% as it is today, it's slow.

Apparently Chair is using their own Cloud save system.

That being said, I forced quite the app on my iPad and relaunched it-hoping that might force a save upload. instead it started me over from the beginning. I wonder if it downloaded the iPhone save instead. Sucks-but not that much progress lost. Regardless I wish it were more refined.

Just downloaded iOS 7. Loving it so far but that's another conversation.
Downloading:
-Infinity blade 3
-N.O.V.A 3 (bought the controller might as well use it)
Now I'm deciding between Year Walk or Deus ex. Anybody recommend one more? Been playing all the bravest. I enjoy it. Good time killer but nothing that would keep me playing.

I force quit mine too and lost hours of gameplay despite seeing frequent saves and not having another device for it to send to.

Sounds like a bug that erases your data if you force quit, what a glaring oversight.

About time, the leaked pics of this game at the beginning of the year were giving me hype.

I trust that this time the game can feel a lot better to play, the first game was great for it's time but a few months after release it already felt stale, asphalt 6, 7 and 8 have shown me that there is big gameloft improvements though.

Joining iOS GAF. Just added myself to the AppShopper and will be adding y'all to my friend list on both AppShopper and Game Center. Haven't glad too much on it before, but I'm willing to jump in.

My only iOS device is it the 3rd Generation iPad.

Believe me when I say that a 4th gen device and iphone 5 and up is much better for gaming, but you can't really go wrong with the 3rd gen touch, 90% of games work with it, just that most will run in the older 1024x768 res instead of retina.

Play Asphalt 8 on it, now.

Was there always a Wishlist on the App Store and I just somehow overlooked it or is this new for IOS 7?

Finally. I've been wanting a Wishlist on the App Store forever.

Still displeased with Apple releasing the 4th Gen iPad in the same year as the 3rd Gen. Trying to find Asphalt 8 on the App Store but the stores have been very slow today. I can't even add anyone on Game Center right now. Says I'm unable to.

Yes! Incredipede is on IOS!
http://itunes.apple.com/app/id576959436?mt=8

If you're on the fence, then get off and buy this game already because it is absolutely fantastic. Ok, well, I've only played the PC version but Incredipede is a fun and creative challenging physics puzzle platformer with a great art style and tons of great user content. And if you didn't know, it's from the developer of the Fantastic Contraption series

Here's the PC trailer

I hate what they did too as my first iPad was the 3 rd gen at launch :/ but I mostly game on my phone and watch video on my iPad.

I haven't played the iOS Deus Ex title, but Year Walk was among the most satisfying experiences I have had on the platform. Be sure to download the companion app as it significantly adds to the experience as you progress.

How do I access my Apple ID page or see how much iTunes $$ I have now? Before you could scroll to the bottom of the App Store page, or bottom of a Developer's page, and see how much in your account, etc.

You can go to iTunes and scroll all the way down. Shows how much money you got and let's you check your account.
EDIT: did you check out the featured page also? I just scrolled down and saw my things there also.

Alright cool. I'll probably download that and wait to play Deus ex when I get the new iPad they are sure to announce. I figured it would be a much better experience on a bigger screen. Plus I could get a couple of songs also. Thanks buddy!

Ah, thanks. Nope, I hadn't checked Featured

Any reason why?

Year Walk has great art and a very immersive atmosphere, but the puzzles are far too obtuse for my liking. They aren't the kind of puzzles that make you go "aha!" when you solve them, they're more the kind that has you groaning after finally finding the arbitrary object that you're supposed to interact with. I know I'm being very vague here, but I don't wanna spoil anything in case you decide to play it.

Deus Ex nails the HR atmosphere, and has similar gameplay mechanics with multiple ways to finish objectives, including 100% stealth/no kills. It's presumably the first episode in a series, and I think it took me 6 hours to finish.

I have no trouble gaming with my iPad3. It's not ideal, but it does the job okay.

The game of the IB series is boring to me...But! After reading the plot synopsis of IB1 and 2 over at TA, I'm excited to read the rest of the story. It's kind of a neat narrative in that respect. Shame I can't enjoy the gameplay.

Finished Capsized+

Overall it's a great game, the controls work well once you get used to them with the exception of the final boss. That is where the touch controls just fell apart IMO, still beatable but I felt the challenge was the controls and not the game. Apart from that, the game was awesome. Cool artwork, great music, nice weapons and upgrade mechanics.

Booted up Another World and lol, I can see this being a rage inducing game on iOS, might be better to stick to a platform with physical buttons for this one.

Yeah, I tried Another World on android recently and got frustrated VERY quickly.

So the new Angry Birds game is finally universal but still doesn't have cloud saves between the two? Damnit, Rovio.

I picked up IB3 and Nible Quest. How is Angry Birds SW 2? Is it worth it?

And please tell me why I keep buying games when I don't play half of them as it is?

Has anyone tried this? How's the performance on iOS?
Looks just as good as it did on PC. I know the devs said some particles were decreased but for the most part, I don't notice any downgrades

If you're having lag, you can adjust graphic options. It runs very nicely on my iPhone 4

Only issue is the control placement. This needs the ability to move the buttons around. Right now, both movement buttons are on the left side. It works but they're kind of awkwardly placed. Personally I'd prefer one button on one side, one button on the other

This is well worth your 3.99. A fantastic game with tons of content

I've experienced some crashes as well on iPhone 4. I wasn't sure if it was because I just installed IOS 7 or if it was the game, but after reading some posts on Toucharcade here, I'm guessing it's the game

Also, the dev needs to remove the PC control prompts. The tutorial for adding and moving parts still say press A and D

But those are only minor issues that can be easily fixed and don't detract from the overall quality. It's just as fantastic and fun as it was on PC

Can anyone recommend me a GOOD text adventure game?

"Blackbar" sounds interesting, from what I've read in Toucharcade, but...! Any feedback?

So far I've picked up for the iPhone 5S:

Fairway Solitaire
First Touch Soccer

Fish Out of Water
Motocross Elite
NBA Jam
Stickman Downhill
Tetris
8 Ball Pool

Come the heck on, Monday!

You shouldn't have bought NBA Jam, it runs like absolute ass since iPhone 4S (framerate makes it unplayable) and EA can't be bothered to fix it, it seems.

Yeah, I tried to get into it, but the framerate sucked and the virtual consoles (partially due to the FPS) were frustrating. It's a shame cause I love some Jam.

It was actually pretty well made and fun to play, back when it worked. Controls were actually pretty decent, you're meant to be able to slide from the turbo button into the action buttons, if that makes sense. Worked as well as touch controls can, anyway.

Well, that info sucks. I'll delete it until they fix it. It ran perfectly on my iPad when it first came out, what the fuck did they do to it?

Updated to add an in-game currency to activate On Fire, added announcer phrases and big head mode as IAP.

I kid. For now, anyway.

Is it me or is Angry Birds Star Wars II...really hard? This is like the Super Luigi U of Angry Birds.

Also-still loving Infinity Blade 3. If I didn't have so much to work on, I'd be soaking it all up. There's so much to unlock and find in the game. That being said-I highly recommend playing it on iPad to iPhone-finding the little hidden bags and barrels is nearly impossible on the iPhone unless you're just blindly tapping most times.
