Batman: Arkham Origins |OT| Justice from the head of Prototype And Hulk: UD

In Arkham Asylum, Batman said Bane on Titan was even more powerful than he remembered.

Fighting Bane's 5 stage boss fight over the course of the game determined THAT was a lie.

Perhaps Batman was also
stricken with memory loss
in the interceding years?

I have a couple questions, if you don't mind.

1. How is off-tv play?
2. I read something about Achievements posting directly to Miiverse when you get them? Could you expand on that?

1. Haven't tried off-tv yet, my wife has been gracious and given me the TV for the evening.
2. Yeah there is an option to auto post to Miiverse, so when you get an achievement/accomplishment it automatically posts what you earned to Miiverse with a screenshot. It's a neat feature I think.

The Wii U version also has the Deathstroke challenges and all the DLC.

Has anyone on 360 managed to download the free Black Mask challenge pack? It only shows up in the ingame store from the main menu, but whenever I select it the only option I get is "cancel" or scrolling the description.

Also, I can see me using detective mode less (or at the very least for shorter periods) due to that incredibly annoying violin/fly like buzzing noise that insists on droning on whenever its active. If this is the point of the noise, then well played. Your scheme is working, WB.

still bodybuilder type tho (even Superman shouldn't be this big), they need a more slim Bruce on that batsuit to be the best batman.

Here's hoping that Rocksteady next game (assuming it's Batman and not a new IP) has a more graphic novel look, it would be delicious

All I have to say is: It took me 2 hours

yeah :D
Do you remember what you have to do to save the hostage? I didn't want to risk bataranging him and i wouldnt think stealth takedowns would suddenly start working so I'm at a loss. :/

Edit: youtubed it. Come the fuck on. Just for that last bit you have to stealth takedown, when the entire fight it makes a point of letting you know that he's armored and that won't work. It's like, jesus, let me know when you've changed the rules on me. Shit. Well I guess i can move past this and have some fun.

Cheers dude, will do. How in the hell did that get past QA.

What does the patch even do, but break the framerate? There was a glitch that fixes a tower or something that prevents moving forward, maybe that?

Looks like I won't get the game today after all, oh well, maybe tomorrow.

The 360 patch didn't kill the framerate, but I don't have idea what it really did.

Don't use gadgets. Sneak up on him an try to be stealthy. A stealth takedown should work.

edit: yeah that's why it took me some time ^^

Pretty cool. More games should do this.

So I'm going through the options right now, and to my surprise...no 3D Vision support? Is it still supported as thoroughly as the other two games? They were some of the best examples of good use of 3D Vision.

One of these radio towers is glitched out for me in Industrial Park, you break the generator but the fence stays electrified. PS3 version
Game is great, but the performance and bugs are annoying as all hell

People may think they are being clever by hinting at spoilers without using spoiler tags but you still spoiled the game. Not going to quote the posts I'm talking about.

I ahve no idea why this has gotten lower reviews than it's predecessors, it is familiar yes but it's still so good, it doesn't feel tired at all.

I think this will be held like Bioshock 2, and only be appreciated after some time.

For the PS3, it's best to avoid the patches so far?

So far I am enjoying this a lot more than Arkham City. The bosses so far have been pretty enjoyable, especially Deathstroke, and it helps that we have a voice actor for Batman who isn't phoning it in. I swear, Kevin Conroy sounded bored at times in Arkham City.

I'm stuck here. It was after hack one of the Riddle's things. Bars appeared in the windows and I can't scape through the air duct...

Any ideias?

haha I came to post exactly this, stuck in this room because of some stupid glitch =/

EDIT: Just restart from last checkpoint and forget about that tower until they patch it.

Just beat it on Hard. About to start a New Game+.

My impressions:

The combat is essentially the same as before, except if feels slightly sped up, but overall it's better. My one annoyance is with the move when you vault off of someone, it goes into a double fisted slam when you land on a different opponent instead of letting you choose to attack a different character.

The story is the best it's ever been in the series, and ties in nicely to Arkham Asylum.

The boss fights are pretty good. Easily the best in the series, and you can see that they really took the Freis fight from Arkham City as inspiration.

The graphics, my goodness, on PC, with PhysX and Tessellation maxed out, it looks incredible. The snow is awesome, especially when you kick a criminal 15 feet and they slide through it, it just looks great. And holy shit at the (minor gadget related spoiler)
Shock Gloves
with PhysX, they have the mist-like haze that follows Bat's movement, you can see the particles cyclone around his body and fists, it looks amazing.

The game runs really really well on PC, DX11 never ran this well on Day 1 in Arkham City, and I can appreciate the effort that Nvidia and WB put into the PC port.

The City is much much bigger, and even when returning to the old portion from Arkham City, it really feels like a new city, I mean the layout will be slightly familiar but it's not the same at all, I had AC's map memorized and I still became turned around when revisiting the same areas in Origins.

This is easily the best game in the series, and if you hadn't told me, I would have thought it was Rocksteady making it. People shouldn't be down on the fact that it's not the same devs, as you can tell that these Devs really loved the source material and looked at it with respect.

Seriously, it's a great game, and if your a fan of either two previous games you should play this, preferably on PC if possible, but you should play this game.

Just to remind people thinking about the WiiU version that all the gamepad specific features from the Armored Edition are gone.

But it runs way better, so that is the trade off
